finally managed a win with the Honda NSX-R prototype LM road car. Did 2 things, otherwise it was stock. First lowered top speed to 143, then went up 1 on the brake balance in the rear - this simple change took out almost all of the understeer, don't know why..but it did. Corvette, ford, xj220 were 1-2-3 on my lineup, weak compared to zonda rabbit. Won by 6 seconds, best lap 1:41.

Came close with the lotus esprit, took second after lots of upgrades and tuning, then went too far and tuned it out of improvement. Gave up and bought the Honda.

Managed 6th with Elise sport 190 '08 - but power is a problem, the torpedoes eat it up on straights
Renault Megane Trophy S '11 was slow
M4 coupe, x-bow R '12, 458 Italia, probably could be tuned to be winners, just not by me! LOL.
Tried the Alpine Vision but the understeer was impossible and it can't be tuned.
Tried BMW concept series tii 07 - not enough accel even with reduced top speed.
Tried Shelby Cobra 427 SC '66 but insufficient accel despite reduced top speed

Hope this saves someone some time.

I don't think I'll be grinding this one for cash, it's a headache not a challenge, especially when your 550pp is so deficient to the other cars in the lineup.

I usually give up after the first few attempts but I stuck with it this time and found the Audi Le Mans Quattro was the car for me, good pull out of the corners, just reduced top speed to about 148.

Well, I FINALLY won!! I can't believe how much trouble I had with this event. I can't lie, so I've got to admit that I turned on Active Steering (Strong). I hate the fact that I did, but at least I've got the monkey off my back. I won't use it again and I'll see if I truly can win this thing with no aids. Oh, I used the Acura NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car.

It's strange. I do 90% of my solo driving on CM and CS ties. This event allows us to use SH tires, yet I felt like I was sliding on almost every turn. Monaco isn't a very high speed circuit, for road cars, in most areas...but it felt like my rear tires were lacking the level of grip I expected.

Will have to go buy the Acura NSX-R Prototype LM Road Car. Any tune for this guy??

Won it against One-77 and Viper '13 with a stock Scuderia 430. Great race imo. AI is hard and challenging. I saw not crazy moves by it, just aggressive ones which is rare for GT but a welcome change for my taste.

Used a combination of the Praino tune and Draggon's suggestion, with some variation. Won by 9 seconds.

Changes made were max speed was 130, which put 4th at 1.880, 5th at 1.522, and 6th at 1.288. I did not do weight reduction, all stock engine parts and power limiter at 98.1% with an oil change which put me at 527hp. Passed the leader on lap 4 in that 180 degree left turn downhill section.

One and done!

managed only 5th with toyota ft1,really crappy driving :(
crashing into cars and rails everywhere.[/QUOTE

I understand the feeling :guilty: it is frustrating to find out that you're not as good as you thought, but hey, you have to keep trying and practicing. Practice makes perfect! Twice I got the 2nd place with a x-bow. I'm pretty sure if you crash into any car :irked: they will battle for take you out of their way, and if you don't crash them, they will make it difficult to you to pass but you probably can get the gold. 👍 Again, don't give up and keep driving.

Second in a McLaren MP4-12C. Zonda won. then for fun placed 5th in a tuned WRX STi. Behind by 7secs from 1st (another Zonda). Another lap or two and I would have had it.

I used an EVO VI all tuned up except for a mid-turbo no oil change, top speed to 149 and rearrange the gears individually and won it on my second try but the AI were absolut jerks...

Man, this tapping a car and having them gain like 100hp is mind-bottling. I'm curious what the logic behind this is seeing that it's a pp limited race.

Rx7 does pretty well here, won it with 525pp

You know this race is hard when even the AI car in 3rd place gets beaten by 25 secs, as I just saw!

This race seems nigh on impossible for me. I've tried every car that others have won in but just can't crack it. Maybe I should just stay out of the big league for a while! :dunce:

I was feeling a bit brave and tried my 430 Scuderia stock. I got completely annihilated. So I tried my old 550 PP tune (no idea where I got it from)... got 6th or something, I think. On an easier field, no less.

So I decided to try my MP4-12C, since it's become one of my favorite cars in GT6. I tried a pretty close to stock setup first (albeit with power reduction and ballast to get it under the PP cap). No dice. Got 5th I think, though it drove better than the 430 Scuderia was. I decided to try it with racing brakes and the soft racing suspension (since I didn't feel like looking up a suspension tune), though hard was probably a better choice on this track. I think my lap times might've been worse than I was getting with the stock suspension.

I'm definitely going to have to take another few cracks at this tomorrow.

Although the event is absurd in typical GT6 fashion (go from 12th to 1st in five laps of Monaco?!), I like the cars you see here. It'd be amazing to see a race of supercars like this in real life.

The Aston Martin DP-100 VGT handles great, but you have to add a lot of ballast and run the power-limiter around 50% (no oil change) which slows it way down, but maybe one of you can find a way to make it quicker? I'm not very good at this track, so if I can win with the DP-100, chances are, so can you. 👍

Anndddd I'm done with GT6 for the immediate future.

The AI is just stupid and the sound the Evora made has literally given me a migraine.

Like i was said, light cars are miles better here.

I always at 1st with >5 sec. lead on a set of light cars <1100kg (ex. Alpine vgt, KTM Xbow, even an Caterham that i just said it sucked.)

Won with a 549pp Suzuki GSX-R/4. Took the lead from the ZZII on lap 3. Was in doubt about my choice of car during the first 2 laps as the AI pulled away uphill, but the Suzuki proved it was superior in the slow corners and chicanes.

I guess my frustration comes from the fact that I don't like wasting my time trying to figure out how to beat a video game. I race in a GT6 league that presents authentic difficulty (SNAIL). So when I have to figure out tricks to beat vehicles that are supposed to be a certain PP, with the same tire I have, but perform much differently, I get annoyed.

Plus, the changing characteristics of opposing vehicles during the event is just silly. I like constant variables, but maybe that's a preference that doesn't agree with the new Seasonals. Either way, I think the past couple A-spec Seasonals have been unrealistic and disappointing. I get my Golds, but leave feeling unsatisfied. My 2 cents.

I thought this win was funny, the dino maxes out at 505pp

In this race the gt was flying, I didn't hit it to make it faster I don't think I ever saw its tail lights. My laps in the rx500 weren't the fastest, but that gt was really fast.

So the pp fairness, ai and exhaust sounds in the game are terrible. (the later two seemed to have not really changed from gt1) At least we have an in depth photo mode that I haven't used, that probably makes up for some of the inadequacies in the game elsewhere

I usually give up after the first few attempts but I stuck with it this time and found the Audi Le Mans Quattro was the car for me, good pull out of the corners, just reduced top speed to about 148.

Have been trying with some of the cars you guys are winning with and had no luck, got back in the Audi Le Mans and won first time out, it has stage 3 weight reduction plus window reduction, reduced power to 71.8% max speed set at 149mph and traction control on 2, managed to sneak past the Lambo at Casino on the last lap

Thanks for the advice mate, did this but lowerd the ride hight to 70/70 with TC set to 4. Took me 4 tries but did it in the end. thanks again.
