I had that car before in garage, so why when i did to the event and there wasnt the little confirmation box that i already have it??
But the reward car is absolutley the same as the one in dealership, so why doesnt it count as the same car

The difference is.... it is marked as a prize car that cannot be sold on for credits, whereas your original car is a full price dealership purchase that you can choose to sell anytime at 30% cost. 👍

My complaints were always that the expert races weren't hard enough (the last was a joke) and that they kept using the same tracks. Not the case here so I guess I can't complain. I've never even seen this track before so it will be a challenge. Sorry to all those who don't like higher PP. I don't mind an expert 700pp race but it would be nice to mix it up so we can use some of our other cars. I have $43 Mil in cash, own 330 cars, and 14 of those cars are Ferrari P4's which I can sell for $6 Mil each. I wish you could give away cars or let people borrow them like in GT6. I'll never spend that much money, and I think I already own all the best cars.

Anyone one this yet? If so can you tell me what car and tune you used? I see someone named Denezin won.

7th place, 118k credits, and done, i tried it.
Wanted to try the vision SRT S, but it is not a racecar according to the game.
I'm happy that i used the previous expert GT3 at laguna seca to pump my credits up back to 47million.
When I saw it was 700pp, I was like sweet. I'll try the srt vision car and was surprised that I couldn't use it, I know the second srt can't get down past 729pp. I tried the 2x vision car, could not keep this thing on the track for anything.
I'll wind up playing it and finishing no better than 6th. :boggled:
you're lucky, so far I can't get past 10th without being rammed off the road. On one try I was spun off the track and trying to get back on, the last place car went to wide and slammed me back off again.

I like this track, but not for cars over 700pp. I wouldn't mind it if they used up to 650pp road cars, that would be more fun. I have yet to be able to complete any of these 700pp expert aspec races above 6th place. :banghead:

first finally by +00.034 seconds

Hi there. What car and tune did you use to win? Thank you!

Edit: This race seems impossible. It would take the full 2 weeks to learn the track well enough to actually get a win. The longer I drive, the greater the rabbit's lead gets. Too many curves for the 2J and nothing else seems fast enough. Not sure I have the patience to play this several hours a day.

For anyone who has the ability for this track, I have been told that this car is capable of winning this event.

Pescarolo C60 Hybride - Judd '05

Won by 1.5 seconds with the Chaparral 2X. It took a couple of attempts though, since there's a lot of trail-braking corners, and the 2X wasn't really designed with that in mind.

Tried a handful of other cars as well but never got anywhere near.

Hey Chris, how's it going? I noticed you were online this morning. I'm stumped with this one!! I can get just under 7.20mins which nets 3rd or 4th in the Mazda VGT. The Sauber was too twitchy coming out of corners and when I put TC1 on, it really compromised the speed. This is a challenge for sure! It's nice to be in a situation where I'm having to learn the best line through some unfamiliar corners - especially the 2nd half of Sierra!!! About to try Shaun's Pescarolo tune....

edit:
1st complete lap - 7.23mins for 3rd (it was a scrappy lap and used TC1 to maximise traction on corner exits. Great Tune Shaun - it has the speed for sure!)

edit:
7.17 - 4 secs behind leader...another C60 hybrid!!

Yes my tune is https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/tunes/pescarolo-c60-hybrid-judd-05.1769/ And as for advice. Do not try the bumps that launch you into the air, The first one will make you crash. the second one on the straight away is easy and can be taken at full speed. The third is in a fast right hand curve and should be taken with caution as it can launch you left into the barricade. As for braking and curve taking brake somewhat late and dont be afraid to really take em at a higher speed. I had one or two mishaps and still barely beat the 1st place minolta. Good luck to all.

I grabbed my trusty Minolta and only managed to pass 2 cars my first try, and 4 cars on my second try. This is a HARD race, such a long course to memorize, and at 700PP, super difficult. I'll try again this weekend, but the outlook doesn't look good...

First seasonal since the game was released that I've neither completed nor got gold on. Not worth wasting my time on a track that I don't know that well, in cars that are so out of place it's just stupid. AI is the usual joke with these cars too, ramming you off as much as possible along with being well over the PP limit. PD really need to sort their ideas out, there's plenty of other options for an expert seasonal than 700PP race cars on a track that's not close to being suited for them.

This Seasonal is pretty tough!!

I used the Pescarolo Judd GV5 '04 and it took me 40 minutes of armco smashing and AI bashing before I was finally able to win with a total time of 7:43.851 by just a few tenths over the second place car (the Minolta Toyota I think). I cycled the grids to get rid of the AI who likes to drive the Pescarolo Hybride.:mischievous:

I second what Denezin says above:tup:

Slow down for the bumps or you will get launched!!!

The AI are certainly fast, and then get their turbo boost when you pass them, so sometimes they will come right back to your rear bumper. A few of them will even re-pass you, so you will have to dispatch them again in the next corner.:irked: Sadly, I did employ one passing tactic that the race marshalls have given me a warning about:guilty:: I would run up on the AI's going into a turn and bump their back-bumpers to get them unsettled and to make room for me to pass them. When I did this effectively, the AI would also put a wheel off the track as they went thru the corner and this would take away their turbo boost, so I could pull away without being hounded down the next straight.:mischievous:

Good luck everyone!

I dont understand you all why are you doing the Aspec races at all?
The money isnt high enough to grind. And the prizes are ****, cars you can buy or already have. I would understand if they all have speciall color or something, but no.
And one thing the last a spec event (dont know wich race) gave the Murichelago chrome line as reward. I had that car before in garage, so why when i did to the event and there wasnt the little confirmation box that i already have it??
But the reward car is absolutley the same as the one in dealership, so why doesnt it count as the same car?
I get your point. Relative to the amount of work you put in its not quite worth it. But at this point for me, it's a matter of pride. Been gilding these for a while now, and I don't know anything else by this point.

I like to check out what the races or time laps are here before I even turn on the PS3. Once again I am utterly disappointed with PD. It seems they have no interest in coming up with any A-spec expert level races that are realistic. No use in even trying another 700PP race, the prize car is already in my garage and have never used it, and never will. I do not need the credits, so why waste time with PD this week. I will think about the other races for this week, but I already have those cars as well. So I have another week without GT6. I myself am looking for good copies of GT3 and GT4, so I can replay them as they were more enjoyable than these seasonal races PD comes up with.

Finally got Gold with @shaunm80 's Pescarolo tune - thanks man!!!
For me, what makes this event 'Expert Level' is the same as all the other very difficult expert level events:
- a clean run is required
- a really good setup
- no easy win troll car (at least not yet - the Tomahawk only goes as low as 720pp!! And the idea of the Chappy 2x at Sierra - takes a brave person indeed - respect!!)
- knowledge of the track (with Sierra, a few misjudged braking points can lose you 20 secs easily, but the inverse is also true - stringing together some well judged corners with early acceleration can bag you a lot of time)
- being able to judge your time by how earlier you catch particular AI
- a heap of luck regarding what the field looks like (there must be an easy field surely!?)
- a heap of luck with the AI behaviour (the Toyota 7 held up the field in my winning run - my laptime was 7.19, slower than my last attempt)
- total frustration at having to restart over and over again
- potential DS3/TV screen union at high velocity.

This was one of the best expert events for a while!!👍 Best 4 hours of GT6 for a while too!:)

I agree with all the comments regarding the desire for realistic races but chasing a rabbit is still just chasing a rabbit wherever you are and in whatever ride you're in. Grid starts and competitive AI, fuel and tire wear - then we're moving towards realistic 'racing'.👍

Yeah i will say that i liked this event simply because i had to change up my normal season tune and had to really run reserved to get gold. I'm so used to just running the ragged edge in the seasonals like this and letting it all hang out. This track is not that way, You have to dial it back in the slower sections but not too slow. Its like you got to take your time in hurry to get by and win. Very fun but frustrating at first but once you get it its not bad.

No worries at all. I only know it worked because a wheel turner from my thread was able to win with it. It's good that others can win with it too.

I may give this track another go myself later as I really love this layout. Like others, I too am struggling with it but with a little luck, i may be able to crack it.

After being run off the road by PD's rabid drivers in super-glue mode about 15 times Touring Car style (just drive into inside rear corner and turn other car around), some of those while already being in the lead, I took the Chapparal 2X. I never thought I'd ever use that car for anything ever again after the VGT Seasonal. Damn you PD for making me do that!!

Pescorolo C60 Hybride
Praiano's Apricot tune from June (wrong tune for this track!)

First try: 3rd (back by 2.2 sec.)
Second try: 2nd (was first, but hit the rocks near the end)
Third try: First by 12 seconds.

I hadn't run this track since completing its events when it was first released.

I only do TT and DT if i dont have the prize colour

Ermm this is pooh R10 wants to make love to railings R18 drives like a shopping trolley, normally I'm not a bad driver but this is unadulterated pants as far as tracks and cars go.:banghead: GT or Touring cars would have been a laugh...can't be bothered:censored:

I was very excited to see this track picked for an A-Spec race. Unfortunately, that excitement waned immediately when I thought to myself, "I'll bet its 700PP Expert Level..." I just don't like driving LMP's/Group C's and especially Vision GT's. I might just skip this event as I already own the gift car and I have 43,000,000CR. I know a lot of GTPlanet members love driving as fast as your reflexes will allow. That's cool...👍 My interest is in cars that I want to drive in real life. Those cars happen to sit between 450-575PP. Since PD either can't, or won't, give us an AI that is actually competitive, the only way for them to make a "challenging" event is to crank up the PP level. :yuck:
And I just got my back fixed. Too bad! Well wait till the next one comes up.

After atleast 5 hours of failures and spins the one and only lap i finished was in 5th. I give up, this is not fun anymore.

C60 with the Praino tune, 7th 3 times in a row, NOPE. I don't think you can win this with 1400pp, much less 700pp.

Came fourth my first try in the peugot 905b, third my second try, then second by under half a second my third try. The minolta seems faster than the pescolaro and i just couldn't catch it at the end. Enough for tonight.
