Well, the cheat car TS030 did it for me. Pitted only once at the end of lap 7, IM for the entire race.

Well, there most certainly is more than one rain schedule. I used the HSV-010 with IM tires and a one pit stop with the rain schedule I knew of. Easy enough win. Came back later and started in the early morning, 0800, it barely rained, I killed the IM tires down the lowest 1 tire wear bar left on lap 5, pitted and stayed on the IM tire and again burned it up down to 1. It barely rained, it definitely never rained hard and the most water percentage I saw was, I think 29%. Was an easy enough win before and here I got P4, 32 seconds back.

IM to RH didn't work either. And ran out of gas around last corner with a refill to full at pit on lap 5. Cool that it's like a whole new challenge. 👍

Other races I saw 100% rain and here on this one only 29%

LOL glad to see others have noticed if you change cars or come back latter, the conditions change. First attempt 15th changed car conditions changed finished 8th. 3rd attempt rs pitted lap 2 toke on inters pitted lap 7 toke rs easy win

It's my forth car here, but first time it's a new rain schedule, for me anyways. I remember reading others' posts and wondering why they're doing any more than a 1 stop always with IMs. Now I know. And watching my replay to see when it rains and such, I devised the RS, IM, RS plan. 👍

Same here
I,ve noticed 3 different rain schedules
all races i run RS for 2 laps then IM then quick fuel stop and RS for the last 2 laps
My fave is my GT300 Ameyia RX7:cheers:

Fun track. I used one of the GT500 GTR's at stock hp. The first run was to learn the track and see how the AI paced. On my second attempt, I started on IM tires and pitted at the end of lap 5 with the leaders. Stayed on IM the hole way to the end and managed to finish 7 seconds ahead.

After looking at it again, this race is pretty easy...once you learn the track (which was my biggest issue). I used the LM55 on IM's the whole race, one pit on lap 6, full tank of gas and done. Easy win. Fastest lap was a 2:17, average lap 2:25. 24:57.460 final time.

Is it me or the clock seems to be glitched on this one.
It's supposed to begin at 8:00 whereas the sun is still behind the hills. (It can't be, even at 6:00 o clock)
On the pre-race menu, we can see some red reflections on the tarmac and a deep orange glow from the sky (like some 5:30 o clock sunset glow).

Yay!!! did it  but only by something like 6.3 seconds :embarrassed:. I used my '97 Castrol Supra, as the LM55 wasn't doing it for me in this one :odd:, really struggled with the LM55, which is odd as I've used in pretty much all the 600PP-700PP expert level races :banghead:. Anyway it's done now :D:boggled:🤬:scared:

Used the LM55 and started on IM tires and pitted at the end of lap 6, then switched to RS at lap 7. Rain came and went twice, but was short lived on the second round and the RS made it through. If the rain was any longer on the second go round when I was on RS I would have finished back in the pack.

I finally managed to trump that darned SRF, and won using a 600pp Xanavi Nissan GT-R 08'. Did two stops; 2 laps on RS, 5 laps on IM, and then 3 laps on RS. Won with over 16s to the nr 2 car.
Yeah that's what i did too and it was pretty easy actually a second time.
I used RM tires though and the last 2 laps i was just seemingly on a stroll lol.
Did a 2:20.5 last lap on worn RM just using ABS also.

First time on the track for the win in my good ol' standby the 2J. I started on IM, pitted on lap 6 for more IM and 49ltr. of fuel. Then pitted at the end of lap 8 to RS and 6ltr. of fuel. I almost lost the lead when I pitted on lap 8 but did get out in front by a mere .456 sec. Once on the RS I pulled away. I was close on fuel at the end but did not run out. I don't know who to credit for the tune though. I did use part of @praiano63 tune 49kg @ 50. The rest of the set up is as follows
60/65
13.61/13.20
8/1
1/8
4/7
1.0.0.05
-0.25/0.05
6/5
Stock tranny w/4.13 final @211MPH
5/10/5
49kg @50

I do think I agree with the others though; Won and done. I'll grind the Intermediate Race though 1 mil. payout is nothing to scoff at.

Thanks good bud for the heads up on this one, did this one on my second attempt using the 2j. But I keept the IM tyres on all threw the race and it worked like a charm.

Couldn't achieve it with the bonus amg clk, chewing tyres way too fast,

The Mazda vgt provides crazy grip (on IM) even under the heaviest rain, anyone has other 4wd to recommend for that challenge?

Cheers

Tried prob 10 times, in R89C, first few started Hards, pitted lap 2 for inters, pit lap 8 again, lead car walks away.
Tried LM55 as per some in this thread, way slower than my R89C. Back to that, started inters, pitted lap 5, lost all grip lap 9, lead car walks away! Far out man!!!!!

After finishing 2nd a few days ago I went back. Completely overdrove the car, fried my tires made plenty of contact with other cars/barriers and finished 10th.

Tried it again, attempting to drive as smoothly and cleanly as possible. Finished 5th.

For me it comes down to finding the right balance between driving aggressively fast and borderline recklessly, or passively slow and deliberately.

Give the Alpine Race Car a try. As you say, finding that "just right" blend, taking frequent glances at the rain % and adjusting accordingly will put you on the podium. This little car is a blast to drive and I promise you as soon as you find that blend will put the field so far in your rear view it's almost funny :-) GL!

Wow, this one is a pain. With the lm55 I only got 14th place and many ramming penalties, and collision penalties for going off the track and hitting the barrier. I switched to the TS030 hybrid, for me it was much easier to handle. But this AI :banghead:, I was on the 8th lap and 2 seconds behind the leader. 3rd place comes up and hits me giving me a 5 second penalty and from there I became a ping pong ball :irked:, ended up in last place and a minute behind . I will try this again later after I calm down.
