The way you play John, is the way most of us play.

I took my 400pp 99% power Lancia Integrale and it was a leisurely drive to victory. There was no challenge, you didnt have to be aggressive, you just had to maintain constant corner speed to slowly overtake the AI.

And then the intermediate. I thought this would be easy but I knew something was wrong when I saw the 42 sec interval.

42 seconds!

In four laps that means you have to make up 10 secs faster than the leader AT LEAST.

I got 3rd in my first outing and I didnt see the 1-2 rabbits. Pretty demoralising and I kept swearing under my breath because this is really 'b*ll****' of the PD variety. The number of 500pp PLUS cars is too much.

However with the help of this forum, it took a few goes to get first. Sure it might involve the game breakers like the GSX-R4 but a win is a win.

Of course I always get my ass handed to me in the expert with the first outing being a 4th... then slowing clawing up until someone mentioned the magic 2J.

I think there is a lot of unfairness on the part of the rabbits... I mean I kinda smile when I get beaten by the 97 McLaren long tail or the Audi etron r18 because obviously, these cars are not 600pp.

Then you see these cars slow down at places that they shouldnt and that's where you break them:

Turn 3, 5, 11 and 12, 13 is where I took many of them.

Even so I found the interval timer kind of weird. I seemed to be at 15-25 seconds to the leader and then suddenly I was on top of them.

This was a good race - pretty tight with the Alpine VGT race Mode, but with this field there seemed to be no one on the main straightaway whenever I was so the slipstream effect was pretty useless. Very late braking with the air brakes and a nice amount of downforce was very useful however!!

Like you all are saying, this set of seasonal's was just OK,, first the 400pp was an easy run away for the Anniversary Tesla running a default suspension tune. The Honda DualNote was an OK bonus so decided to give it a try for the Eifel 500pp. Just a few tweeks and an easy win after the couple restarts I needed to learn the handling of this 4wd car on sport hard's. I was pleasantly surprised at the handling and performance of the Honda DualNote! After having played every version of GT since it hit the sales floors I've never used that car. Me thinks I've overlooked a "sleeper" :-)
The Indy RC was more fun for me. Unsuccessfully tried both the SpecII GT40's but just could not run the rabbit down. Had to settle for a Silver after 3 or 4 tries. I was determined to use something different than the cars we all know would be an EZ win - 2J, Zytec, TSO30 etc. Haven't driven the Ferrari 330 for quite awhile so settled on using it. With just a few tweeks that sweet ride took it to 'em and ran away from the field so will be trying the old Ford GT40's. All in all I liked the Indy RC event the best.

I'm not so good at this track, managing a best lap of 1:20.007, and a 7:21 total time. I used the LM55 first, but the Toaster owns here, at least for me.

I DID IT!!!!!

For the first time with GT6 Seasonals (or as I can remember), I finally won an Expert-level Challenge race! It took me two tries. The first try was with whatever was my best car by PP, which was my McLaren F1 GTR Base Model. I managed 3rd in a race that included a BMW McLaren F1 and a Toyota TS030 Hybrid. My second try had me looking to even the score by toning down the power on my Audi R18 TDI Prototype. Midway through Lap 2, I was already through mid-pack. I was then able to overtake the leading Corvette ZR1 C6 Race Car after being down about 3.5 to it on the final lap. I then passed the leading 'Vette by about the backstretch. I was then able to hold off that car to the finish line to about a 0.3 second finish. A cool 550K Credits (1.1M Credits with the Level 5 login bonus) came my way. I don't know if I'd be confident enough using this race to grind out all kinds of Credits, but this was something I was proud of. Damned proud of.

This was a great race for me for a number of reasons. For one, I have never led any Expert-level race for what I know. I never led a lap of any Expert-level race until this one. And most importantly, I have never won an Expert-level race that I know of in GT6 until this one. This feels VERY good to me. Never give up, GTPlaneteers! Keep fighting!

That's the spirit @JohnBM01! I can feel your excitement. I remember when I first played GT1, I wondered if I would ever win a race. Just keep at it and you'll get there. Also take advantage of the great tuners here. I know there are many races I would have never won if it hadn't been for the tuners.

Thank all of you for the compliments about my excitement of finally winning an Expert Level Challenge race. In no way am I wanting to downplay it even if it seemed easier than most Expert Level races. A win at this level of difficulty is a win at that level of difficulty. My excitement is from actually completing and winning a race at the Expert Level. I am a veteran of at least 15 years playing Gran Turismo games, and salty veteran me was finally able to knock down a win in an Expert Level Challenge race. I didn't even win one of these Expert races in the GT5 Seasonals, let alone GT6. Or at least, not winning the B-Spec Expert races in GT5 or GT6.

Call me crazy (because I know I am), but I almost want to retry this race... in a DeltaWing. Neither DeltaWing isn't going to do much damage bone stock, so I'd have to upgrade to give it a better chance. I'd love for someone to try to win this race with a DeltaWing. And if someone actually succeeds in doing so, PLEASE tell us about it!

Try the Nissan Greaves LMP2 first. I cant win in it. It just doesnt seem that powerful. Isnt it 450hp and 900kg? A few people in here can do it but the best I can do is 2nd. I think you need to be extremely clean and no make mistakes in overtaking.

The 2J obviously has a lot of advantages over other cars... the acceleration and corner speed helps people who arent as confident on this track.

I won it with the Vision GTI against the Ford GT LM Spec II. I used @Draggon tweak to the LSD 14/16 and changed the dampers to 4/5 & 5/4. Tires are still turning orange and red in the corners but to me is handles better for my driving style. I just wish I knew enough about tuning the suspension to understand why the front and rear tires are turning orange to red. Fun race though. I'll keep playing with the suspension until one of our famous tuners is willing to give it a go.

I'm no pro but challenge accepted! I will update my post after work when I try.

If you want to try a little different car, try the Abt Audi TT-R '02. It's FR, not 4WD, easily tuned to be competitive with most of the fields. Balanced, easy to drive, it's been winning some but not all with laps around 1:27:00 if I do my part.

The BMW v12 LMR has been running consistent 1:25:00 or so for me, and is as capable, well almost, as the TS030 Toyota hybrid.

I've really liked this seasonal at Indy a lot, there are a lot of competitive cars to use at this PP and its been a BLAST to run through the garage and actually win with a bunch of different cars. It makes cash grinding a lot more fun and not so much of a grind after all. I don't always say it, but here it is: GOOD JOB ON THIS ONE POLY!

For grinding cash, however, there's nothing quite as certain as that TS030 hybrid for someone with my marginal skills.

TS030 for some total times near 7:45. I tried in several cars and was only able to get to 3rd place. I have not tried the 2J yet though.

@JohnBM01 Deltawang done. Took me numerous tries, various fields and then on lap four the P5 TS030 went off track at corner 1, and I had a huge grin because the other cars were within sight. Drove a good lap four. Making up time in the corners, then on lap 5 I overtook the McLaren and two Nissans on the outside of the long left hander and now in P2, drafting down the straight and then made the move on the Esperante in the super tight right left. Zero contact. Barely, oh so barely held the lead but no blocking and got the win. I was shaking.

Best I can muster is 2nd with multiple tries with the LM55 and the HSV-010.

I guess I'll try the Zytek or the TS030 later.

I tried this race with the '97 McLaren F1 GTR and took first on lap 4. On turn 8 (the turn right before the two hairpins) he decided to use me as the brakes. He rammed me, I went flying into the grass, and ended up taking second place. I tried desperately to use his draft on the final straight, but he won by .3 seconds.

Used the Zytek Nissan with @shaunm80 tune and won against the Audi RD18. Excellent tune and should be able to win against any line up. The car drives great and has lots of get up and go. Another winning tune by @shaunm80.

Sorry for no picture, my phone was in the car. i'll run it again and post a pic.

I won again! This time, I toned down the power on my 2012 Toyota TS030 Hybrid. An unmodified TS030 Hybrid has about 607PP. So in toning down the power, I tried to get it down to about 598PP. This car is usually high atop the running order for a reason, and I found out why with its decent speed even at 600PP or less. In literary speak, racing the TS030 Hybrid is like the "just right" things in "Goldilocks and the Three Bears." The car just felt right for this Seasonal. I passed the lead BMW McLaren F1 late in Lap 4. Then for some reason, that bastard in the BMW McLaren rear-ended me en route to Turn 1 on the final lap. He spun out and lost by at least two seconds at the line. Yeah. Real d*ck move by that driver. Anyhow, I now have TWO wins in this Seasonal and my second-ever Expert Level victory. My total time was 7:48.734 using this car.

I now went back-to-back winning this Seasonal and with a different car. When I had enough money collected to get the 1970 Chaparral 27, I immediately looked to try to take advantage of this car's performance in this event. The 2J had its power toned down for me to put it at about 598PP and maybe 406hp. This thing still hauls butt even toned down! I could pull about 195 mph before heading into Turn 1. I could even comfortably late brake with this thing at decent speeds. Just like with the TS030, I passed the leading BMW McLaren F1 GTR late on Lap 4 before getting on the oval part of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. My total time was 7:46.427. Funny enough, I used the 2J after winning with the TS030 Hybrid, and I passed an Audi R18 TDI and the TS030 Hybrid in this race.

My confidence clearing this Seasonal grown as I won with the TS030 Hybrid and now the 2J. Two different cars, won two straight times. Confidence can be killer in racing. Once you have it, you feel you're capable of almost anything.

Turned to Suzuka seeking answers to the 'ring-ins' in this field(probably my least favourite of all the AI squads).
They told me 'NA NSX-R' was the answer.

I saw you posted on page one that you just won your first expert race. Actually TS030 has always been known as the cheat car at 600pp level. It really performs like a 630pp car. So if you really want a challenge, try a slower car like the Super GT cars.

I'm with you MSZ, join the "Dare to be Different" crowd and run these fun seasonal's with a challenging car. I see nothing wrong with running a winning hotrod just to get the win behind you,, but then get on back out there like many, many others and see just how good you can be by taking the PD team to task and doing it to them with a not so popular car. Now THAT's fun!

Talk about luck, I won in my GTI Supersport by only 0.053 seconds! That ZR1 was on my bumper the whole time!
