Fast laps of 1:28. Wining margin 00.899 With the GT40 1969. Throttle application is mission critical with the Ford GT40 1969 because of the weight versus horsepower and will wheel spin under throttle application if not applied in measured increments especially in corners.

Yep, different cars are fun. 👍

I'm with @skeagracing on your winners list. I've used half of the cars you've used plus won it with the Vision GTI. I could only manage 2nd with the XJ13 and some of your cars I don't have. I have won it with the C60, LM55 and the R8 LMS. The R8 was a battle all the way to the finish. I did try the Vision FT-1 only to come in 2nd 16 seconds behind the McLaren F1. I've already bought too many cars and the Chromeline XJ13 and the Mark IV were the only 20 mil. cars I bought. Though with a 1.1 mil. payout I might consider buying another 20 mil. car since this race only takes about 7-8 minutes, I could easily win back that 20 mil.

I'm adding more to the list as I work my way down the PP list.

Kind of strange and maybe I'm wrong but it seems the lower I go in PP the sloppier/more off track they drive. Maybe.

A couple different cars I tried that won that can be added to 'CorryClifford's' list of winning cars.

After seeing everyone getting in the kinda forgotten cars, I went out trying the nissan nismo gtr 2015 lmp car (yes the ff one). After quite a few attempts of tuning the car and learning how to drive it I only managed to get the 2nd place. Too bad you can't change the gears, because it would be a hell of a lot easier to win when you could change the gear ratios.
If anyone comes up with a good tune I'll try it becausr I think that I can not all the potential out of this car.

It's amazing to me how much different the field can be, and the 2nd place times. 7:36 to 8:01 is a huge time gap for 2nd place. Anyone had a second place car run faster than 7:36?

I also wonder if 2nd place will run faster if I don't leave them so quickly. It seems that they run faster when they're closer to me. Could be that I just drive worse with someone on my tail.

My sense is that your driving fine and that the draft created by your race car is causing the car behind you to run faster.

The 2J is the ticket (7:42 first try), but I want to try to win with as many cars as possible and buy the remaining available cars. This being the case I want to race against the slowest field line-up. The Corvette / Esp / McL F1 field finishes with the Corvette coming in at 8:00 if you don't come up behind them and pass early (which speeds them up-they actually drive faster trying to catch you). The Esparanza / R18 / Ford GT field finishes in 7:51. The slowest field I've seen so far is 8:02 with a McL F1 starting is second and finishing 1st. Anyone find a slower field?

The reason why I went with the prototypes is to try to even things up. I am reminded of when I did one of the official GT races and lost mercifully to a Ford GT40. Just that feeling of you having enough to defeat cars other than the beast makes you want to bring your own beast to even the score. So that's why I initially went with my Audi R18 TDI Prototype. Then after that, I went with the TS030 Hybrid and the 2J. You just look at the opposition and wonder what to bring to the party for when you constantly fail or don't have just enough to compete. Anyone can win this race with almost any kind of eligible car. Heck, if it were possible, you could even win this race with the Toyota Prius Race Car or the Honda S800 Race Car. It's just all about (so to speak) playing your best card(s) and letting your racing skill do all the speaking. So because of the intimidation factor and willingness not to be stood up by a more powerful opponent, you bring something suitable to even the score.

This is deep meaningful 🤬 right here But it does make sense

I used the Nissan GTR Concept LM Race Car won in the seasonals last month. Took a couple rounds but eventually got past for a 2 second gap at the finish line. Easy win once I got used to driving this track.

Finally tried it with the 2J. Time was 7:36 overall.

I think you're on to something with the car choices being anything in the 600 pp range. They can all win if you play your cards right.

Has anyone tried to run 5 consecutive races with the same AI field driving slowly. Then ran your best race in the 6th consecutive race to see if the AI is responding to your previous races or if they respond to each race separately?

I may try it sometime. The only time I would do this if it worked would be for the seasonal that I find myself unable to gold. Like the recent 700pp event at La Sierra.

AMG Mercedes CLK-LM 1998 Fast laps 1:27.408 Winning margin over Toyota TSO3O 00.547. Pass for the win at the end of the straightaway end of lap 4 start of lap 5.

I have been trying mainly with the Audi R18 and some tries with the Honda HSV, but couldn't go further than 3rd place. I should be able to win with the HSV, but I feel like I'm not getting the best from the R18! I'll search in Praiano's garage for a tune, then after winning with those cars I'll try the "cheaters" 2J and TS030

Hope this helps you with the Audi R18. See report #43 video Nov 22, 2015
