Excellent, glad to see it found a good home.

Cool story! :) I had a feeling it was a Arizona or California car, sitting outside like that with next to no rust.

The Countach could have been just a kit car but who the F:censored: leaves a R32 at junkyard! Also how is there a R32 in the US when it's illegal and why would it be at a junkyard?

The junkyard didn't look exactly "professional" if you know what I mean. Maybe it was smuggled or used for racing. Not really sure, :curious:

Dude, omfg, from the comments on the website:

Tom Cotter

I’d like to contact the owner, Zack, and possibly use the car in my next car-in-the-barn book! Thanks.

Barn Finds

Please email me Tom and I will get you in touch with the owner.

Zach

Hi Tom, my family and I would be honored to have the story of our Camaro and the wonderful journey that my mother, brother, sister and we have traveled since meeting for the first time in 2006. Its a story of adoption, family found, God’s love and a shared passion of the automobile. My contact information has been forwarded.

Thanks Zach

And like that, the car gets to be on the next "Car in the barn" installment... and reminds me for the umpteenth time I NEED to pick these books up.

EDIT: What would you know, a seller over at E-Bay had both The Cobra in the Barn and The Hemi in the Barn selling in lot. I finally grabbed them. Now to chase down The Corvette in the Barn and all set I'll be.

Dear god that slingshot dragster.

@Robbo, most pictures posted in this thread are just pics we found over the internet; however, several users have posted here cars that we've found in the streets or countryside nearby us. Just grab a camera and start walkin' and peekin', you never know what you'll find.

This thread makes me

Why in the name of (insert your favourite god here) would someone do this??? Abandon a Maybach in the middle of nowhere... abandon an army of Alfas beneath a mansion...

I think I'm getting sick :(

Dear God, the Alfas :0

any more info on those, other than those shots? There are amazing cars in there!

A very long time ago...(maybe a year), I said I'd get a picture of a crashed Lexus IS-F that was behind a local autobody repair shop. Well...I still never got to get a picture of it. So I do apologize for it. (Mainly because I don't know if the owner of the shop is ok with me going around taking pictures of whatever is in his backyard on his property. He lives right next to his shop.) But...out of random luck. He seems to have posted a craigslist ad for another car in his backyard. And in that picture, is the IS-F. :( I'll get my own pictures if anyone wants.

Well hate to double post, but I suppose I'll bump it for the sake of this. The devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy for classic car owners. :(

Cool (sad) video and the Miura is amazing! The car is in great shape and plenty original, I'll try to follow its history from here on.

Shameless bump and twin post in the form of a one of 18 (and one of 6 with a 4-speed) 1970 GTO Ram air IV ragtop, that last of the 6remaining to be traced down:

No engine in the car but the numbers-matching unit came with he car:

That GTO is just sad. it's only one of 18 :embarrassed: that is rare. Is that how many are knew to exist or how many produced ?

18 produced. The Ram Air IV option is the scarcest, most sought after and for sure, most potent in all of Pontiac's catalog for the 1970 year.

It's Sandro Munari's 76 safari rally car from '75 or '76. It's was abandoned on a farm in Kenya but there is a few different stories on why it was left there .... It was damaged during a race, and left there by the rally team or the car was stolen. There is also stories of the car being repaired.

You can read more info on it here

Awesome post, RocZX. Fascinating story for sure, it's amazing that historically significat race cars are still poppin' up around ther world out of barns. I love the dogs inside the car.
