Yeah I knew the first one was a 73, and I did say they were both 70s at first, but I just played it safe on the 69, because I forgot the tail lights. I just don't see how it gets confused with a 67

I don't either. There is a hell of a lot of difference between the 2. Maybe on a 1969 I could see it front the front end and maybe rear but 1970? No.

@ Pool: Floridian plates?
Yep, probably imported but never changed the plates, car spotters have seen this driving around in Belgium and Holland about 5 years ago but now it's just sitting there. BTW, this is car #35 of 99.

Thread on NASIOC, pretty cool story and a epic find.

So I was out driving around in the 240, and came across a salvage yard, with all pre 1970s American Cars. It's pretty big..

I'll have to stop by with my camera some day.

'70s? American? Looks/Sounds like demo derby heaven.

That looks like it would be a bit of work but still restorable.

That entire front clip needs replacing though so it'd be a ton of work.

For me, if I had the money; it would be so worth it.

That is why parts cars come in so handy. Any '69 Camaro front end will do, and it looks like the headlight covers are intact, so they might be reusable. I really want a project car....just need a job right now. I've got 2 on hold lol.

It says it's a numbers matching car, you shoud try fixing/repairing the parts on it make it worth more in the end.

bring a trailer post on the Camaro

There is no saving that. Numbers matching doesn't mean anything more than interior options, axle code, engine etc. It's only going to decrease in value sitting there, and finding a donor RS/SS in good shape would be a nightmare, let alone why anyone would want to butcher one in the first place. You'll bring the value up more replacing the front clip (spare the motor etc) and putting RS/SS pieces back on it than leaving it. Coming from someone who is trying to get into this field, it makes more sense. Trying to iron that front end out wouldn't be worth it. And in the end, spectators onlooking won't know the difference between a reproduction bumper and the original.

A pretty cool video of some abandons.
How many of these cars can you call out ?

I cried when I saw so many daytona abandoned. I badly want one. I also badly want the Boss Mustang as well, and the old school British bus would just be fun to restore.

"Yeah I have three Charger Daytonas in my backyard returning to earth. Why?"

Damn sad. Awesome post, Roczx.
