No, but this is supposed to be a 'modern' custom Anglia, and old car revived so to speak.
I don't know how number plates are distributed in the UK, but where I live I could drive this Anglia with the latest available plates.

In that case I'll let it slide if it's supposed to be a "modern" Anglia lol...In the UK you can put an older number plate on your car but not a newer one. So if a car was first registered in 2000 you couldn't put a 2008 number plate on it

I figured it was something like that. If I would buy a classic (oldtimer) car in Belgium and bring it into traffic, I would receive a totally new number plate (be it that a few years ago special number plates were produced for classic cars older than 20 (or 25 years), unless I decided to keep my actual one.

@safi hellie I tried your Anglia and it's driving fine, being a tad slower around a track than the Hillman Imp which I used as a reference. So it can be perfectly used for racing in the TCL pack. Good to have an extra car.

As for that: I did not like the interior of the TLC Alpine from Bazza and found a (imo) better looking Alpine on the Assettoland site (under Reanult tab).

Following the instructions I found here somewhere, I tried to swap all stuff from one to the other, but failed. The car wouldn't load because there was an issue with analog instruments that I could not fix.
@GzeroD helped me (thanks again for that) and fixed the 'new' car.
So, if interested, here it is. It still looks like a rally car, it has a trip master on the dash, co-driver is removed though. It seems to be a little bit slower than the TCL version from Bazza, but I'm fine with that.

(Wipers work for now, but still need some tweaks).
It's now of my favorite cars from the pack.

Very nice - I do love a Renault Alpine. I think the new one looks great and is apparently an absolute blast to drive. I just read that Gordon Murray has one as a daily driver and took it apart to see why it's so good  https://www.carthrottle.com/post/gordon-murray-liked-his-alpine-a110-so-much-he-took-it-apart/

As for the number plate system in Belgium, that's mad that they issue a new one for classic cars. Over here we can put personalised number plates on any car old or new but again you have to respect when it was first registered and not try and make out it's a younger car.

Awesome!
It's great this swapping stuff over malarkey, one of the best uses is exactly what you have done, like a car but doslike the model they used, just find a better one in if that has duff feel just swap it over!
Sorted.
No going back though once you disappear down that rabbit hole...

MEET THE JAGUAR THAT NEVER WAS.
this tune is based off of the XJ220 1988 concept car.
xj220_89_black_l.jpg

i used the ad XJ220 as a base for it.
so here's a list of what i did:
Changed from production rwd to the awd concept drivetrain
Changed the V6 MG Metro engine to the V12 XJR9 engine.
The kg was about 15 kg more because of the V12 engine.
Removed the turbo's since the concept version didn't have them.
Added a description and changed the tags along with the power graph data.
In terms of performance it blows away the production version.

In honesty if Jaguar kept their heads up for the XJ220 they would have made a monster instead of a half a..... supercar no wonder that people were starting to cancel the orders.
The XJ220 convertible was planned but cut because of the failed sales.

Hi, just starting with a bit of modelling and have imported a reworked model but get a crash with the message "assetto corsa crash analog instrument may be broken"
Help, the model has no analog instrument or analog instrument.ini file

any ideas????

The error is in digital_instruments.ini, some led or similar had name changed when importing (led_1 can now be led_001 or something like that)...one problem 3dsimed has.

Definitely from Dirt Rally guys. They have had a licence with MOOG and used their liveries through different cars in the game. A shame that AC is flooded with such poor conversions nowadays (not to offend you since you already used the existing rip to make it better...)

How so? Some of the forza rips are the most beautiful models around.
If someone has ripped a model and i use it to tweak for personal use i don't see the issue.
The 'flooding' comes from sites following pages like these then uploading links around the place.
Though i do agree there is too much flowing about, but then that us where you have to take some responsibility as no one is forcing you to add anything to AC, you can just not download every new 'mod'...

The rips are out there and the TCL pack by bazza is all from existing cars available elsewhere and like the jag is forza for example hence why TCL is free...so really i don't see any problem unless you sell them.
Even less so if you are simply finding a mod and tweaking it yourself, how are you supposed to know it's provenance?

Don´t want to start a new discussion about that topic again. Personally I admire people like Fat Alfie or A3DR, VRC or RSS who really spend their free time to create models from scratch that´s why I am little disappointed how far AC modding has come. For me this is more quantity than quality and its really hard to pick the good from the bad. Glad we have CM and the "analyze" button....

I think it 's from Dirt Rally because there 's one feature there - all the machines in Dirt Rally have a gear indicator, which is not in real on cars. It is present in mod in AC
In addition, I noticed that the design of the machine is different from other Alpine A110 AC mods, which have the same 3D geometry, as all are based on the FM version.

I like the way AC develops. Always want more, but it seems to me, it is already more than when was rFactor 1, GTR2, GTL, GPL. This is more than there is today rFactor2 and Automabilista. Yeah, a lot of bad mods. But there is an opportunity to refine any of them. It will be difficult for the rookie to understand the "ocean of mods" duplicating each other... But it is enough to ask on the forum what developers are worth attention, and not to waste time on another. Or search for reviews with the heading "best mods"

You will not find the gear indicator in the car I posted, because it has been removed.

I am not being funny but you just answered your own question / problem...
Just download cars only by A3DR, VRC or RSS .
Or don't ever download any cars just use pure Kunos. Simple.

With stuff like the engine tuner to swap engines over and CM and then basic physics changes I have found a whole new sandbox to play in. so i am going to carry on.
But no one has too. We all have control over our AC, that is the beauty of it.
It is an open box though so an open mind is valuable if you delve into it, as yes there is a whole heap of repeats and crud and rips and lies and ego's.
But by christ i favor that over racerooms lock out, it's just a whole lot of fun messing about...it's like 'gary's mod' for cars...

Believe me in real life there is a whole load of buggered up cars driving around and on the markets. Its not just in sims!

In the racing scene there is issues with people selling race cars that have won races etc then they take out the race wining engine (its generally that that wins not the drivers...sorry) before they sell it and pop in another engine thats not as good...old race engine goes into 'new' race car etc etc...
My Dad used to look at the engine and whilst they weren't looking put a scratch somewhere on the metal...so if he purchased it he could see if it had the same engine in it....

I 'm only going to be able to see this in sim in the evening:)
About Dirt Rally remembered simply when I saw the first version of this mod, immediately noticed that it is indicator, and this indicator hinted at where came from 3D model. The more different versions, the better! :gtpflag:

Hi there!
I do not know if this is the right forum.
but I ask.
In my Assetto game exactly one car doesn't work ..... it's the Porsche 935/78 Mobydick !!!!
I have already tried to repair the data via steam ... there was no improvement!
after selecting this car ... starts the game and then goes back to the selection menu ...
does anyone have such a problem?
is there a solution?

need help
