Are you sure the lobby was "open"?
It happened to me a couple of times. Nobody was joining, then I checked and realized the lobby was open to friends only. I made it public and it got filled in a couple of minutes.

It was open for 20+ minutes and no one joined. We even set it to Dubai and still nothing...

Or your level is too high and scares most of the players out there...
Or you had restrictions. Select "No restrictions" and it should fill up quickly.

Something weird happened to me yesterday. I entered a room and got kicked out immediately, with even no time to select the fuel... And most of the players in the room were more or less with the same level as me, i.e. around 1600...

Finally got some more sorties in! My F-35 has really gone from go to whoa lately (ever since I realised I could kill mid tier jets with 1 missile), I've gone from the low-mid 1600's matching rate to the high 1700's in very little time, and I keep performing well in most lobbies! I did 6 sorties tonight (4 to make the score 120,000 goal as it didn't happen in 3 because it was a talented lobby, the 5th sortie came up was MDP II which I received $49k for, and I figured I may as well do the 6th and complete that challenge in 1 sitting). Still no special Rafale though. It looks like quite the bit of kit too, up there with the stealth fighters and Su-47 etc.

And imo, I think the F-15E is a better buy. It's cheaper, and faster. And it has 4AGMS like the F-35 does so you can spam them to your hearts content, and I've personally found it harder to duke it out for MVP against Strike Eagles than F-35s.

And Strike Eagle sounds way cooler than Lightning II.

Upgrade the 22 up to at least level 4 and it will start being awesome

That PvP tournament that's just passed is really doing wonders for my co-op MR. Seeing a steady increase in both the F-22 and T-50 account since I can keep up with more or less anyone with the levelled up end game fighters.

Got the F22 up to level 2 85% towards level 3 am finally getting good with it about 43k if I set a standard matching rate per game. Unless they increase the payouts I'll probably stick with it since I don't get to play as much as I want and thus never have enough cash on hand to unlock stuff. I figure most of the money I am getting while flying to level 3 will be used in the upgrade it self.

Level 8 is nearly $600k on my F-35! I currently have $165k, that's quite a ways off.
What do you guys think, I currently have no open research items, but I really want to get the F-35 to level 10 before I bother too much with other stuff. Should I spend cash on other things to keep research going or save it for the upgrade?

Guilty as charged. I was locked on to a target with a teammate and another person from the other team targeting him. I had no other targets ATM so I just left it hoping for a confirmation bonus and waited and waited and no one ever even shot anything so I finally killed the thing since no one else was. This happened 4-5 times last night I finally said F it and if I lock on and it hasn't taken damage I'm going for it. It happened while I was flying the F-16DR but not this often.

They'll need the F-22 -MB- for that. And a Mobius emblem. All of which of course will cost at least 1000 stocked fuel during a PvP tournament

I have seen nothing to indicate a skin is available for the F/A-18 but I have seen someone flying it. It's not a NTSC special or something is it?

Edit: Got the special Rafale today! I also earned over $200k through forced sorties, I'm currently in the top 3000 for the mini ranking event.

Anyway, now I'm starting to really appreciate my Su-34 Fullback. 3 MVPs today, and scores between 40 and 50k.
But I had to upgrade it to level 4 to overcome my initial problem of sluggish target lock-on. Now my Mirage can be efficiently replaced.
Same problem with the Su-47. It needs too much time to lock on, and in the meantime everyone takes all targets out. It needs some upgrading too.

You were less than 1,000 points from cracking 60K in our 2nd sortie mate.

I'm switching between my L7 Mirage, when I know there's a 4AGM emergency target, and my L4 F15E Strike Eagle when there isn't.

I told you the Su-34 is great. Just sluggish aim though.

I have to confess that I felt quite skeptical about its capabilities at the beginning.

Now my Su-34 is level 4 and I must admit that aiming has significantly improved, even compared to level 3. With at least one more level, I think it will have even better target lock-on. I could barely score 25,000 at level 3, and upgrading to level 4 gave a dramatic improvement... Now it can even shoot MiG 29's and F-14's down.
Its stability is just incredible and its stall speed is really low. I think I will stick with it for a good time. I was considering the A-10 Warthog, but it has no advantages compared to the Su-34.

So for those considering a Su-34 Fullback, upgrade it to level 4, at least.

Actually, there is a skin for the F/A-18. I got it 4 times...
But I have no F/A-18 to put that skin on...
