Anyone bothering to spend stocked fuel on this tournament? Barely hanging onto the top 5000 since I haven't come across anything higher than a MDP 1 all weekend.

I don't mind it but I don't think it's anything to drool over; except for the fact that some poor p.a. employee had to spend too much time drawing that black-winged angel on the back of that plane

Is the theme new or has it been recycled from previous games?

Really would have preferred them offering skins for purchase rather than random drops and even worse ranking events. It's what I thought they were going to do.

Before you call me a curb stomper on this, i want to say my friends are 1550+ pilots as i'm a 1760. We had a Moby Dick 1 mission, fearful of someone gunning the cockpit early, i was on my mic with my friends yelling commands like i was a millitary general as i was taking out fighter jets early to prevent the worst. Now we move to the end, there was a Su-47, the cockpit, and an AAM. I scramble to the Su-47 with 20 secs. left. 10 seconds later the Su-47 is shot down, i then realize there is 5 seconds left with the AAM left, so i said "Screw it," and aimed at the cockpit for the great or good. With 0.032 seconds left, i realize we had an S Rank! Turns out a guy in a Rafale got the AAM at the same exact time as i got the Cockpit. I don't think i ever got that intensified over a video game ever. My T50 also got enough research from this to allow a level 2 upgrade!

I spent stocked fuel not for the tournament but for forced sorties, I got a ton of cash and experience and now my F-35 is level 8 and I reached the 1800's in matching rate today. Caved in and decided to use 3 stocked for a MDP1. Needed the $$$ after a few level ups with planes and sp. weapons . Rank went from exactly 5000 to mid 3000s. The prizes for this ranking tourney feels very meh in comparison to the others that have passed.

Oh and @sumbrownkid, just realised that the special Rafale's angel looks a little bit like the Razgriz demon without the armor (and with more detail!).

This brings us to an interesting point for planes that Namco will add to the game. We can probably assume that 90-95% of the planes they've had from AC4 to AC6 (including Zero) will probably make it's way in via update.

With that in mind which icon plane do you want to be put on an update the soonest and how do you think will we be able to get our hands on said plane (tournament prize, special drop, time limited challenge, etc.)?

With them adding the Su-33. Why not put a few more Sukhoi Flanker planes like this:

The Royal Malaysian Air Force Su-30MKM.

So far tournament planes have only been special variation planes they have not at any point released a new plane and made it tounament only. All the prototype/new planes were either added to tree or made random drops. The formula han't been changed at all since launch so everyone has an equal chance at OP prototype planes ( ADFX ).

If they're random drops then the chances of people not getting them is still there . Beggars can't be choosers I suppose.

Just saw a few newbies using the special Rafale. It looks like if you're a beginner, the chances of getting that plane is higher.

Using forced sorties just reduces your flying time, i.e. 3 fuel units in a single mission.
This will just give you a (very small) credit and research bonus, but you will not have more chances to get the random drop you expect.

By the way... Namco, where the hell is my Rafale?

Nah, it gives you 3 chances instead of 1 to get it after every sortie, doing a foced sortie x3 gives you 3 random drops at the end of each mission. I've received 90% of all my random drops during forced sorties. I've still yet to see the Super Hornet camo skins though, or indeed anything in the game even suggesting it's available.
Luckily I already have the Rafale. Level 1 is worth over $100k to upgrade! I'll probably save my cash for the most part, my next F-35 upgrade will be hella expensive. And honestly, all jets are useless until they reach a solid level 4 or more I think.

Are you basing this off one plane or several? Because I earned the Zipang and ADFX in non-MD missions. The same goes for all the skins. It's completely random and you can't artificiality increase the drop rate just like the MDP missions.

I based it off from my whole experience of hunting for the limited skins and the plane. I sortied the normal missions but somehow no luck. But I get the limited stuff regularly from completing MDP 1.

Yeah, I somehow got the limited skins and plane from the MDP missions. It somehow slightly increases the chance of getting the rare stuff from them though.

Yeah but at least you get extra cash/experience for your fuel useage, and a higher number of drops for less time playing. BTW, still no Super Hornet skins for me.👎

Not sure the (little) extra cash and experience is worth spending 3 fuel units per sortie.

I got another F/A-18 skin yesterday (I think it was the 6th time!), but still no Rafale.

I think it's been worth it for me, I've been able to afford things in one or two days that would have otherwise taken a week or two to unlock.

Edit: WHOO! I got a stocked fuel as a random drop with all 3 sorties I did today. All in all, +5 stocked fuels today.

And I'm starting to hate you people for getting the Hornet skin over and over while not believing in Super Hornet as master race and all I get is a lousy extra 1200 credits. Not even fuel.

The servers are still active. An update is scheduled for next week to add planes and missions.
It's an addictive multiplayer game. But be careful with the fuel system which can cost you a lot if you don't take care...
So yes, I recommend it.

Which means that I still have 9 days left to get that 🤬 plane.

Anyway, I think new challenges are implemented today? Has someone tried them here?

Anyone knows how to unlock the new challenge for the Rot eurofighter? Some of the challenges require top level fighers I don't have and I'm starting to worry about it!
