BAH! I've been the high scorer in two sorties with my Super Hornet trying to get the "MVP with a jet equipped with LASM" but my team lost each time, it's worthing a freaking Elite Merc contract. I wish I had the appropriate jets to be completing these challenges, I really wish I did.

If you really are looking for an MVP, then open your own room and just kick anyone with high level out.
I had to do this to get the MVP bonus myself. I have noticed that, since these challenges appeared, there are a lot of lazy boys between 1800 and 2000 spamming lower level rooms to get easy scores.
The problem is that these lazy boys would be unable to get MVP in rooms with other players of the same level as them.
When I host my own room, I just kick anybody out if they are more than 50pts above me.
Did this this morning when I saw little lazy boys with 1900 or 2000 levels trying to spam my room (I'm in the lower 1600s). The best in my room was 1650 or so. I managed to make a balanced room, with anyone more or less the same level, and no one left during the 4 sorties I hosted and everyone had fun.
Those lazy boys want an MVP bonus? Ok let them work it out and earn it. Plain and simple. But I will not accept such a behavior in my room. So from now on, I'll show no mercy and kick them out (except if I know them). I'm OK for a fight with pilots the same level as me or a little above, i.e. a balanced fight, not just watching a high level plane steal all kills in MY room and steal all the fun for the other seven players.

Just so you guys know theres a challenge with the A10-A using FAEBs where you have to destroy 10s targets. Theres also an emblem you earn for destroying 8 targets with the SAAM on the F15 S/MTD. Good luck trying to get MVP with a fighter ;u I recommend using the A10-A in pipeline if your strapped for cash since the refinery and other gound targets will pad your score.

If you pick Alps or weapons base then everyone and their uncle will go after ground targets. But in pipeline only the smart realize the ground targets worth.

I got the MVP with my good old F-14A Zipang. It was tough, there were 2 guys with F-35 and Typhoon, but I got it.

So just a quick query here guys, I'm a huge F-16 fan IRL, but how does the F-16 compare to other jets at high levels? What a level 10 F16 be comparable to?


Having a lot of fun with the game, 3 missions each morning, so the progress is a little slow, but in a way that's good, because otherwise I'd forget about all my other games collecting dust!

The F-16 is really cool, but there are much better planes out there.
Anyway I have a level 8 one, it is really good, but if you have enough credits, go looking for an F-15E Strike Eagle or a Su-34 for instance.

I got the "attacker" MVP with the Su-34 Fullback (level 4) + 4AGM. Note that below level 4, target lock-on is really sluggish. At level 4 the improvement is tremendous. So if you have the Su-34, go for it.

I got the "Multirole" MVP with the Mirage 2000-5 (level 6) + 4AGM. But this was a bit of a lucky mission, I started a Pipeline mission and I saw all my team mates with air-to-air configurations. So I finally took the Mirage and shot ground targets only. In the end, the MVP turned out to be rather easy, I had plenty of targets while the others fought air to air. And luckily the same happened with the other team, we were only 2 guys shooting ground targets. And last but not least, I had the "weakest" plane of all 8, but the others were too busy stealing kills from each other.

Mine were:

Multi- My adorable lv7 F15 S/MTD with LAGMs. Seriously I love this plane right now especially since it gets FAEBs for MDP missions.

Fighter- hmmm I think it was the zipang lv8 with QAAMs if not than lv3 F22 with QAAMs. I used either, if not both, for the MVP/win challenges

Attacker- lv3 A10-A with FAEBs got both MVP and won which is not easy since it's so slow. Good news is right after that I got the "destroy 10 targets with FAEBs" challenge.

Oh for the LASM challenge I used the amazing lv3 (or 2?) Rafale arcangel in aerospace. 1 LASM + 1 STD missile kills a great deal of the SP ships

giving up on those Attacker challenges, I can barely get 30k points with my current A10 (lvl1), I mostly use fighters even for ground forces (my primary target are always fighter jets)...so I ended up fighting F22s with an heavy and poor equipped warthog...

Lancer emblem and Rot skin obtained.
'Beast' emblem seems to be the next one as I just need to buy a pair of parts before unlocking the F15 MTD (too bad I can't use the MTD stripes........)
'Albireo' (personal favourite among these), well....I need to complete a full research of the Su-35 before unlocking the T-50, lots of money involved...
'Cocoon' (least favourite), F15E and another part required (unlock and buy).
Need MONEY, so I'll probably grab my powerful EF!

@LJP64, the higher rank guys aren't really being lazy if they're just trying to complete challenges. I'm currently in the mid-1800's MR, and that's because my F-35 is level 8 and I've been flying it almost exclusively for a little while now. But for me to get MVP with a jet equipped with LASM, my best jets were the Super Hornet on Lv.5 and the Rafale M Vent D'Ange on lv.1. You just can't hope to put that kind of jet against people my own matching rate who will be using high level top tier jets. In the end I upgraded my Rafale M to Lv.2 and entered a 4-player room with guys in the 1700's and managed it by 2000pts against a guy in a T-50. I don't think I'll be able to do ANY Attacker challenges, currently my best jet there is a Su-24M on Lv.1.


BTW, I haven't seen a Special Raid mission in weeks, and I never once saw a MDP III, wth is with that Namco?

Wow really? They're fairly frequent to me, today I did I and II within 6 sorties. Had been in 3 different rooms might I add.

The reason for the removal of MDP might be to lower the clutter of missions otherwise it'd be that much harde to encounter MDIII or the new SHIII. On days that the encounter rate is increased you'd just see alot more MDI if anything.

I thought of a really great feature they could add to this game the other day. The ability to select a team-mate, much the same way you select quick radio messages in the mission, so that it shows a blue arrow towards where they are so you can pair up as wingmen with friends, otherwise it's pretty much impossible to follow a particular person on your team unless you're ignoring targets for the sake of finding them. Anyways, it'd make electronic warfare jets a little more useful.

Edit: FINALLY encountered a MDP III! Unfortunately I was in a lobby of just 4 people where I was fresh off getting MVP in a Lv.4 Zipang, so we only managed a C grade.👎 I did a forced sortie x3 on it too, got $100k. Disappointed, but at least I did see one. The mission made us wait like 30-60sec without any targets to shoot at, pretty annoying.

MDP2 is present in a 4 man lobby I enter. 3x forced sorties; activate elite merc contract + plant investment contract; S-rank; Cr. 300,000+ payout; get a ton of parts/aircraft in the tree researched; upgrade F-22 to level 8; purchase more researched parts to further myself in aircraft tree in preparation for the current special challenges...that was so much better than the MDP3 farce I encountered yesterday before the forced sorties were available! The old adage of you win some you lose some has never been more appropriate .

@Paulie That Su-24 at level 1 is plenty to get the attacker challenges. Install the part that increases special weapon loadout and the challenge should be doable in a beginner level 4-player room at Aerospace. May take a couple of sorties but it's definitely possible to complete in that plane.

@Paulie, I hope you understood that my previous post was not aiming you or anyone else.
But seeing guys in the 1900s or 2000s entering rooms comprised of only players in the 1500s or 1600s, this makes me mad, they just spoil the game.
I did my MVPs in rooms with players more or less the same level as me. I think it's more rewarding since you know you worked it out.
But in "game for fun" I don't mind flying with much better players than me, as I usually don't care about scoring.
So if we have the opportunity to fly together, this will be my pleasure.

BTW, I have never seen the MDPIII, and I started playing almost right from the beginning...

And still no Ravale VA, of course, but now I have lost all hope, so I will have fun with the rest of the planes.

It almost sounds like you're saying if conditions are perfect it MIGHT be possible. I can't really host rooms, my connection is like 1 red bar. Anyways, I have limited fuel left, I may be giving the Attacker challenges a miss in light of pursuing challenges I CAN complete.

Edit: Well I had nothing better to do, so I tried the MVP and Win with an Attacker challenges using a level 2 Su-24. I chose rooms with matching rates on par with a Su-24, and I lead my team both times with scoring in the high 30k's, but each time there was one 🤬 with an equally high matching rate using his regular jet scoring the high 60k's, what 🤬. It goes back to what @LJP64 said, people with powerful jets/high matching rates preying on the weak. I mean, with a Su-24 the other guys had a reasonable chance at beating me, but when someone enters in a Su-47 nobody has any chance.

Any btw, I never got the Super Hornet skins, I've been playing it almost every day. Expletives to you Namco.👎 I'm not even sure it was possible for me to obtain Super Hornet skins, the game doesn't mention it anywhere, it's not advertised.

Edit 2: Almost forgot, I did a MDP II mission tonight and the cheap-skate inside of me didn't do a forced sortie, I should have because we got the S Rank.

At least you didn't get kicked out of a MDP3 room! I waltzed into a 4 player room with MR between 1600-1750 (F-22 account hovering between 1770-1810) with the gold whale looking pretty on the lobby, forced sortie x3, everyone readies up, host exits hangar and kicks me (wth?!?!?). To add icing on the cake I go into another 4 player room with a ~1600 MR average to try complete the rescue bonus challenge and MDP1 is there. Get kicked again! This is probably fine sincethe 1490 guy probably would've blown the cockpit prematurely.

Re: Su-24 / attacker challenge - just kick anyone above 1599 . No shame in doing that to complete a challenge that bamco wants you to complete + you'll be giving noobs a well deserved welcoming sortie that isn't berkut level seal-clubbing .

Sometimes I get outscored from lower or equal MR.
Co-op mission are based on 'destroy everything before anyone else'.
You need a combination of skill and luck to get a good performance.
If you are far away from targets, even if you are a good or an ace pilot, no chance about getting high scores:
sometimes while I'm busy chasing a fighter, another player, in a better attack position, "steals" the kill from me.
The thing is, this unlucky situation happens with almost every target in a single mission or with just one or two...
so either the score is quite high to get in the top 3 or is barely acceptable...
Doing these challenges, due to this problem above, I dropped from 1817 to 17XX...

Oops sorry missed that pretty important bit of info. I've hosted rooms with just an orange dot on the connection icon and haven't had too many problems so a 4 player room even with a red dot is probably alright.

Yesterday I tried the F-15C for one of the challenges (investment contract I think).
Now I understand why it costs only approx. 100,000cr. It flies like a brick and its target lock-on is just ridiculously sluggish (even worse than that of a level 1 Su-34). It was unable to shoot any aircraft using the standard missiles. I just completed the challenge using the SAAMs and went out.
I got shot down 4 times by MiG-29s in the same mission! This never happened before, not even with my level 1 F-16C when I started to play.
No need to say that I will not spend credits to upgrade this... clunker.

And of course, I got 2 skins for the F/A-18 and no Rafale...

I had two very ordinary personal performances in the mid 20K yesterday but still got two S grades.

That was going to be it for me as I'd run out of supplied fuel but the next mission was MD1 so since it was a good set of players I though we could get an S and that would be a good send-off to Moby Dick.

I spend one Stocked fuel on it and got MVP and S graded it! I couldn't believe it, especially as I'd forgotten to replace 4AGM's with 4AAM's on my Mirage.

This morning I got a MD2. Middling score for me but another S Grade overall. Nice.

I still haven't got the special Rafale. I want that plane more than any other plane in the game.

I still have not seen the MDPIII, and I think I'll never see it, as today is the last day before its removal.
And for the Rafale, I have only 3 days left: tonight, 21 and 22 August (I guess that the game will be off during the maintenance)... Then I'll be off for 2 weeks. So I'm pretty sure I will never see that 🤬 Rafale in my hangar.

I see when service resumes a special Pirates Su-33 will be available, I'd love to get such a jet, especially if it's a fighter and has ample parts slots (all the current Fighters and Attackers have well below 30 parts slots, the parts I like using take up something like 32-33 slots for weapons, though an Attacker doesn't really need missile homing), however I'm guessing it will once again only be achieveable for freaks and people who sink money in to the game.

@Paulie, haven't you got any other attacker than the Su-24 Fencer? This thing just flies like a brick. Even the F4G Wild Weasel is better than the Su-24. There are much better attackers out there, starting with the F-2A or the F-117A Nighthawk for instance. The latter is cheap and its GPBs can do a lot of damage when properly used.

Broken record time: Yesterday I found out that the CPU teammates are smart enough to not shoot down Moby Dick while there are other enemies. 1 of 5 MDP missions S-ranked, and it was the only one that wasn't an 8 player room. I just don't get how a lobby of anyone over 1600 can screw these things up.

On the positive side, I managed to get the Fighter MVP and LASM MVP challenges done.

Had to give up for the other two since I've got just 9 stocked fuel so credits and research won't be enough...
9 stocked fuel, started with a total of 37...
luckly, I don't really care about the next two events (Idolmaster and Pirates) so I can finally save some fuel.
Now my beloved typhoon just needs 1 shot/1 kill 6MAA (at least for mid-tier aircrafts) ad it will be perfect!

Looks like the challenges that are about to end were designed to prepare us for the new emergency missions in the update.

Was also lucky enough to sortie in an MDP III today. Room was full of MR 1800s to 2000s. Like any worthwhile situation it pays to have another go at swooning the fair maiden .
