@LJP64 So far, the challenges seem pretty encouraging. I only did two sorties but there are three fresh challenges after each sortie (? don't know but that's how it happened for me). <Beginner, Intermediate and Expert> Rewards for my beginner and inter were pretty lacking, albeit easy. The expert gave me an elite mercenary contract which required me getting MVP with any multirole, which I scrapped up with the final kill of my first match match.

I was surprised to find though there were new beginner inter and expert challenges after my sortie, even though I didn't complete my first inter. My new expert challenge bites me hard though. I have to sortie with a plane with LASMs and become MVP and at the moment only decent plane I have with LASMs is my level 1 Angel Rafale (sorry @LJP64 :P:lol:). But yeah, that challenge is going to be there a while, especially with all these great planes everyone is flying.

As for the Rot Typhoon Skin @Vitocorp I'm not even sure myself. I'm waiting to see how to acquire the skin, and I don't even have a Typhoon (yet). However, I am willing to obtain it mostly because Rot is one of the only two emblems from Zero that I have (that and Indigo, which is already on my Gripen). If it's too difficult to obtain then I won't even bother buying the Eurofighter.

Agreed. But I doubt it will increase anytime soon. The lower the maximum limit is, the more sorties you have to do, and we know what that means.

Mission update: After complete enough challenges, you can obtain challenges to get different emblems. I sortied a few times and completed some challenges and now I have two challenges that stand out the most:

<Intermediate> Sortie in the "Rafale M" and use HCAA to destroy 10 targets.

Rewards:
Emblem: Cocoon
Nickname "Skilled Beauty"

*I really wish I bought my Rafale now :indiff:.

<Expert> Sortie in the "T-50" aircraft and use the "4AAM" to destroy a total of 20 target(s)

Rewards:
Emblem "Albireo"
Nickname: "Honorable"

*That shouldn't be too hard for my fighter.

I guess this backs any suspicion that you will also get the Rot Camo from challenges.

Mission Update II:

<Expert> Sortie in the "Typhoon" aircrat and use the "HVAA" to destroy a total of 20 target(s).

Rewards:
Typhoon "Rot' Skin
Credits x 20000

*Yep, I'm not even surprised . And I don't even have enough money to buy the Typhoon because I had to spend that money buying the Rafale.

Unlocked the typhoon challenge, luckly I got a lvl 7 eurofighter so it's very very easy to do
But don't have a Mirage and a T50 and need some parts to unlock those as well...
@Revoy , glad to see another Schnee emblem enthusiast, I passed that ranking event because I was saving fuel for the F15 MTD stripes, and I placed around 900 so I got the galm emblem too
-edit-
finally got the 'air force 07' emblem after getting tons of other numbers (was the last one missing and while playing from a friend of mine I got two of them in 3 sorties...), too bad I got a bunch of way rare emblems to show :P

That's why I've stopped caring about my rank. It's dropped by a 100 and that's alright with me, more rooms I can be in. Riding at the border of 1700 for awhile.

Challenge overload. Looks like they want us to explore other parts of the aircraft tree over the next week to keep things fresh.

Got the multi-role MVP challenge by some miracle in Tokyo with my L5 Mirage in the F-22 account. First time back in it after a long hiatus and it felt like a school-bus .

Some of these challenges are not feasable in the time-frame given unless you burn through a load of stocked fuel. Probably not worth it considering most of the ending challenges only give you cosmetic prizes on completion.

Well, I achieved a few challenges yesterday. I think I'll stick to the challenges I can do with the planes I already have. Meaning I will not try to do the Typhoon or T-50 challenges for instance, as I don't have those planes and not enough fuel and credits to unlock them.
I don't care about skins or emblems, so I will live without most of these challenges. I'll just focus on those which give credits, fuel, research reports or mercenary contracts.

By the way, it seems that credit rewards have been increased in all missions. Do you guys know if this is just temporary or not?

Finally got my Hornet Skin.

My MR is now 2000, so yay now I'm insta-kick in any room I join. 🤬

Serves you right for being too good at it.

I got the skin for the Hornet this morning as well. I haven't got a Hornet.

I still haven't got the Rafale either. :banghead:

@LJP64 I think they end on the 19th if I remember correctly, that might just be the recharge time though.

@LJP64 by how much? I've found winning and S-ranking a mission will net you 12,500 credits (give or take 2,500 each way).

At the end of the mission, in the rewards page which lists all the credits earned, a "Credits refund" line (dunno how its labelled in the English version of the game) now gives credits, when it used to show 0.
In the 6 sorties I did yesterday, this meant circa 30 to 50% more money...

It's sad for those who don't have a particular plane to give up on some of those challenges, I should be able to complete all of them as the hardest of all is probably the typhoon one, I mean, climbing an high tier aircraft up to level 7 takes a lot of time, if I had the money, mine will be at level 8.
Not sure if I'm gonna burn some stocked fuel or save it for future tournaments, the last one took me a lot of fuel and I'm waiting for the Mobius insignia...

I don't think I've ever received any of the credits reimbursed payouts in any mission :(

I read in the Ace Combat Skies forum that there's a requirement for it but don't think anyone has put an actual finger on what it might be.

Edit: Do you guys see the Super Hornet skins advertised anywhere in the game itself? I swear it's not available to me, it's not mentioned anywhere.:odd:

Dayum, some of those challenges will be difficult. My Lv.5 Super Hornet tried valiantly to overcome a F-22 and earn MVP in an aircraft with LASM, but fell short by around 7,000pts. I don't have any good Attackers, like seriously the best I have is probably the Frogfoot on lv.1. I could maybe do some of the Fighter challenges with my Lv.5 F-16C if I can find a really low ranking room.
I'd love to have a couple extra aircraft sets, 6 would help me out more, so I could have some challenge specific sets in addition to my regular favourites.

Maybe it's got something relevant to the strength of your jet vs that of the rest in the room?

I don't know. Whether I have the highest or lowest rank in a room, I have never seen this "refund" before. And yesterday I used basically the aircraft I usually fly...
Maybe I should launch my freshly-earned mercenary contract this week-end.

I'm going to save mine for when a ranking event comes out with something I really want that I'll spend all my stocked fuel on. Although I sincerely hope it's not in a ranking event, I'm dying for an F-35 skin, it probably has the worst standard skin in the game.

For me the standard skin for the F-35B looks good, the worst looking one for me is the Mirage 2000-5's standard skin. :yuck:

I need some good advice for an attacker plane, planning to use the A10 with the faeb since is the best I've got right now...
p.s.
Got the Rot skin for my Eurofighter, with the Wardog insigna looks badass!

Got my first MDP III in a 6 player room. All targets and late spawn fighters seemingly destroyed with only the core to go at 15 seconds left. Two of us rush back to the Aigaion and destroy it with 2.8 seconds left to spare. Still only an A-rank... 70k payout without elite merc contract. GG...

Did an MDP 1 this morning, sent a message to delay the final attacked. Everyone Rogers it except one person of questionable parentage who Negatives it and sure enough, takes out the cockpit with more than 90 seconds left. :banghead:

Great news! My legendary luck gave me a bunch of... 600cr rewards tonight. :boggled:
And 2 more F/A-18 skins, but still not that damned Rafale.

Funnily enough, I've been getting more and more 600 credit rewards recently.

Yes, the A-10A is a good choice. But if you have a lot of money, you can try to get the Su-34 on the bottom part of the aircraft tree. The aiming seems a bit sluggish but after you upgrade it to Level 4 I think it will be powerful.

If you have enough money, try the Su-34 fullback.
But as @ibnumgt1 suggests, upgrade it to level 4 so as to overcome its horribly sluggish target lock-on.
With 4AGM at level 2 or 3 it will become a real ground target killer.

BAH! I've been the high scorer in two sorties with my Super Hornet trying to get the "MVP with a jet equipped with LASM" but my team lost each time, it's worthing a freaking Elite Merc contract. I wish I had the appropriate jets to be completing these challenges, I really wish I did.

Time to host a 4-player "Beginners Welcome" room and have a group of 1400-1500 MR players sortie with you on Aerospace...Namco is basically asking us to seal club as part of some of these challenges... or we could do a GTP challenge padding session which i.m.o. is also a legitimate way of completing one of these...t.b.h. anything goes as long as these challenges don't happen too often .

Just so you guys know theres a challenge with the A10-A using FAEBs where you have to destroy 10s targets. Theres also an emblem you earn for destroying 8 targets with the SAAM on the F15 S/MTD. Good luck trying to get MVP with a fighter ;u I recommend using the A10-A in pipeline if your strapped for cash since the refinery and other gound targets will pad your score.

If you pick Alps or weapons base then everyone and their uncle will go after ground targets. But in pipeline only the smart realize the ground targets worth.

So just a quick query here guys, I'm a huge F-16 fan IRL, but how does the F-16 compare to other jets at high levels? What a level 10 F16 be comparable to?

Having a lot of fun with the game, 3 missions each morning, so the progress is a little slow, but in a way that's good, because otherwise I'd forget about all my other games collecting dust!
