One thing is for sure: If they had changed nothing else but allowed us to hold 6 supplied fuel all along, my life would have been immensely more pleasant over the past year and a half while still probably playing the exact same amount if not a little more.

Agreed. If there is one thing I don't like, it's 3 supplied fuel limit. It should be never ending, really.

Nice. After all this time, I finally got one myself. I am sitting around 9 million credits right now, and I don't know what to do with it!
 
x6 forced over. Although I never found 2 milion gold box, any III / IV raid and also got back few fuel, using the fuel wisely with 1 when hunt, 6 with room bonus or I / II raid, I could manage this:

- Starting fuel: 126; Ending fuel: 43.
- Starting credits: 300k; Ending credits: 760k.
Planes:
- From 8 to 10: F-2A -NG-;
- From 7 to 9: MiG-31 -GV- (on road to 10);
- From 5 to 7: F/A-18F -BH- (used challenge NSU), Mirage 2000-5 -WT-, F-16XL, Tornado, X-29, Su-24MP;
Special Weapons:
- From 4 to 5: LASM;
- From 3 to 5: LAAM;
- From 3 to 4: SAAM, QAAM, LACM, SOD, UGB, ECM, ESM.

Also got another NSU, from drop. This might worth 9.6 milion, so almost as 5x 2 milion drops, in case I decide to keep it for the day I will decide to upgrade the Bomber setup (actually lv1 with -Razor-).

I'm probably the last person in the world to notice this.... I was playing Avalon today and one of two Tornadoes on the other team got MVP. At least during both post-sortie cutscenes, their wings were in the swept-back position and yet the turbulence from their wings was coming from where their wings would have been if in the spread-forward position. Well done.
 
All this time I've been playing this game, and for the first time ever I saw a player with a MR of less than 1000 the other day. How could they possibly suck for so long to get their MR that low?:crazy::lol:
 
I've seen a couple in the 900s. I swear I saw a 700-something once but I can't confirm it and can hardly believe it's possible.

I've been doing the Bomber challenge for level cap increase form. Joined an Avalon-challenges 4/0 room with my level 1 B-1B Rayzor or however it's spelled. Smashed my 97k record with 115,000 points on my third ever bomber sortie. Only got a B rank on account of there only being three of us playing but I don't care a lot about clear ranks anyway. Those MUGBs are ridiculous. Oh, and I somehow got Speedster too, against at least one multirole -- despite some slow circling at the beginning while checking for missed targets and because I was too dumb to realize I could probably destroy the jammer towers from underneath with the MGPBs.
 
I am 99.99% convinced that people lower their MR intentionally. I observed a 12xx come into my room, and he/she attacked targets as if this individual was trying to conserve ammo.

I don't doubt that some people would do it occasionally so they can club seals when tournaments come around. Deplorable behaviour.

There are some good planes up there @Paulie.

My current sets..
F-15E Talisman (L.11) with 6 AAM (L.5)
F-15E Talisman (L.11) with 4 AGM (L.5)
F-22A (L.11) with QAAM (L.5)
FB-22 (L.10) with SOD (L.5)

I am stopping at level 11 with those three, and after that, I am saving my money and stocked fuel for a run a Mobius 1 the next time around.
 
Does anyone else have more than 4 aircraft sets that have disappeared? I paid to expand my slots to 8 but this weekend I only have 4.:odd:

No. In fact, since playing the original Beta in 2014, I have only had one major glitch in the system. I lost all of my aircraft sets past 20 (I wasn't alone) and got one stocked fuel for it.

I am struggling at times in NTDM and frequently find myself the lowest Total CST in these matches (My MR is 17xx). I need to get my airplanes up or level or two but don't want to dip into my 10 million saved credits. Talk about first world problems.... :lol:
 
I haven't played in a while, but I keep getting the feeling that going for the Attacker route was a bad idea. Especially since Fighters just hit ground targets non-stop, fly extremely fast, and make it to the next area 10 seconds before I do.

Havent played in a while myself either. Everytime I go for an online sortie there's always the OP guy that somehow shoots down every target in 5 seconds. Might go back to it though and see whats going on

I'm still a very low-level player, but this game just feels horribly unbalanced. Fighters can swoop in and destroy every target in sight (Air and ground) while Attackers can only take down ground targets and helicopters if they're lucky. It's unfair and kills any amount of fun you could have with this game. Not to mention the ridiculous prices for everything, too (Thank you corporate greed for the microtransactions).

The downside of freemium games
 
It depends on the fighter. Most can easily take out weak stuff like AA guns, but without expert use of machine guns the tougher targets can't be destroyed very quickly, and the really big stuff takes forever to kill with a fighter. Higher-end planes like the F-22 and T-50 I assume have a much easier time of it, but it takes a good bit of leveling before a lot of targets can be taken out even with two missiles. I'm not sure if even my level 15 F-14A can take down an XSAM without using the gun. With a few more fairly inexpensive levels my Su-37 might be able to but at level 8 it's not quite as strong as the F-14. Attackers also have the advantage of shooting some special weapons at ground targets while reloading the standard missiles. 4AGMs are much easier to use for this than a lot of the others unfortunately.

The game could probably do with a higher percentage of those tougher ground targets though, to help even things out. I've set quite a few of my best scores with attackers however. Part of the issue of course is that fighters can take out most any ground targets if they spend the time to do it, but attackers have an incredibly hard time with anything airborne better than a MiG-29. So if you're the only attacker and the other players choose to go after the only targets you are good at killing it can sometimes be a long 8 minutes. And of course it doesn't matter what sort of plane it is, if it has a TtlCst of 2200, you probably can't keep up with it.

FINALLY SOMEONE WITH MY SAME IDEA!
Fighters have a much greater advantage, if things get out of hand you can quickly go for gound stuff with no excessive problems...the only real handicap is the low damage but most of ground tgts are single shot kills.
Attackers have the reducted damage with 90% of aerial target requiring at least 2 shots for killing a single plane and crap homing.
So fighters all day all night baby!
I do have just 2 decent attackers in my line-up, others are fighters or multiroles with air-to ground loadout.

I have the FB-22 Aries, so, if I have an opportunity to go after an air target, I can, but it is definitely not suited for that role. More like high speed bombing and missile runs compared to everything else.

I wouldn't be so sure about the Attackers, I often see people getting MVP with them, you can rack up a LOT of points very quickly in an Attacker. Besides, even some of the most powerful Fighters can only take out yellow ground targets with one hit (my YF-23 kills F-22s in one shot, but IIRC an XSAM takes two), but most higher level Attackers can kill orange air targets with one shot.
Not to mention, if someone is using a Fighter to steal your ground kills they will never score very well. Just do you, always try to choose a jet that balances your team reasonably well, and you should score well.
 
In Co-op missions, my friend and I (both of us are 18xx) usually play in 2 v 2 rooms with one of us going air to air while the other focusing on ground targets. We make a pretty good team as we don't fight over targets.

If some of you are struggling in Co-op, you may be playing with people with a much higher MR then you.
 
So my Ace Combat Infinity days are officially done, though I didn't play it at all in the last week anyway. Just as a new update was about to drop as well, any word on what it is yet?

I don't know a new update have new standard/special planes and some stuffs, but I saw 2.09 on my ps3 before I leave my room for my job around 7: 30am.
 
There is nothing official although I read various *rumors* elsewhere. I am surprised that there hasn't been an update video yet though.
Wasn't supposed to be a Campaign 2, because I read on the wiki that the story isn't over and will be expanded upon.
