Tagged. I hope this works and works well. I know the logistics are not clear cut but who knows they may have figured something out.

If this thing works, I'll finally have a good reason to go and pick up Forza 3. The GT2 is just way too much, and I sold my Microsoft wireless wheel. Getting to play Forza 3 with a G27 would be awesome.

I think all that they need to do is reverse engineer the signals the 360 sends to Microsoft Certified wheels/products, and build a chip that transcodes them into an output that the G25/27 usually gets from say the PS3 or PC. Not saying that's SIMPLE, hahaha, but definitely very possible to be just as good as if the G27 was made natively for the 360, let's hope this is the case.

It's say nothing about supporting FFB though.

i just noticed that. says rumble. i could swear this has been done before. there def was a converter that allowed you to use the wheel with 360...but it did not work with FF. they might just be doing this because GT5 is hot right now and everything associated with it is hot. by the time you buy this and an official wired MS controller you might as well just get a GT2 if they can get it working right. unless you already have a G27 and plan to keep it.

I emailed XCM tonight to ask if the adapter will support force feedback.

They responded quickly that FFB is not supported.

The reason for no FFB was: "360 console itself hasn't got this function".

Now, I'm no expert on consoles, but doesn't the Xbox 360 support FFB? Or is that what they call "rumble"?

Thanks for contacting them, but it now seems pretty pointless with no FFB support...

like i said...rehashed to take advantage of GT5 hotness. theyve been trying to make a mouse and keyboard work on 360 and ps3 for 5 years and cant even do that....hahaha

Well from what I just read .... No force feedback is a big deal to alot of people including me . I never played on a steering wheel before FFB . So how good is rumble on a wheel like a g25/g27?Would the steering wheel feel like a big controller ? It would suck if it started shakin like your drivin a x2010 on daytona at 290 . There is alot of rumble on forza ...."I hope it's not like " fast easy steering and then half way in the turn you touch a curb then violent 550 size motor rumble:yuck:

It actually remains to be seen what in praxis will it mean.

Hardware-wise, X360 really does not support force feedback technology as we know it from PC and PS3.

However, it have ways to produce force feedback effect derived from rumble function. Both Microsoft Wireles Force Feedback Wheel and Fanatec wheels (Turbo S and GT2) uses that technology.

Of course, we can't know have those people from XCM managed to create the same level of "support" but we will know soon. Intresting however.

For more information about "problems" of "traditional" force feedback effect on X360 here's the read on that problem:

Interested read thanks for the link amar212 ^

Super bummer if the end result is no real FFB, kind of pointless then, haha, hopefully that's not the case though.

Guess we'll know soon since it's out Tuesday. I think that is correct though, I remember reading that even Fanatec used simulated FFB on the 911 Turbo S for Forza 3.

Very excited to see if this works, considering you can't buy the Microsoft Wheels anymore and my Logitech DriveFX seems to have lost all its "feedback". I think the issue with the DriveFX though is a faulty power supply though, I should test it with my friends DFGT considering its the same power supply.

I would be much happier with having my g25 work for forza than having to buy a Fanatec wheel to play the forza series. Plus the 360 has some decent racing exclusives like Race Pro and PGR (if you are into arcadey type games at all).

Nice to know the G25/G27 wheels work with 360 now... sucks that no FFB though. I'd opt for a FFB wheel but at least it adds more wheel support.

There is another post on the Forza part of the forum about this, I posted that I received an email from XCM. They said their techs are working hard to support force feeback and that the release is delayed due to firmware upgrades (hopefully for FFB), it "may" be out next Tuesday, check the retailers then.

Hopefully they get this FFB sorted out, I'd love to turn some Forza laps with my G25.

So if you add that to the price of a g25 then it's the same amount of a Fanatec?

Would love to see this work, although i ordered the GT2 CSE.
My pal will have my g25 and it will be sweet if we can race eachother on PS3 AND X360 without him having to upgrade to fanatec.

Anxious awaiting the first reviews of this converter

For almost $90 they're gonna have to get FFB figured out... even if it's just an emulation of what the Fanatec or Microsoft wheels do to have FFB.

Interesting.

I'm keeping an open mind on this bit of kit. Using my G25 on Forza would be pretty cool...
