Hello all,
I just received a notice from Renchi that mine has been shipped. I will start reporting here as soon as I receive it.

So it took them 3 days to process the order.:indiff:

I think he wrote "not too expensive good wheel" for the X360 which the answer is there is none. This adapter is the only hope of a cheap option for those who already owns a Ps3/PC wheel.
ISR is supported by Fanatec and Gamepod so I'm sure they are loving both products right now. Of course that how marketing works, the more successful ISR becomes the more they are becoming an infomercial.
That is the reason I look at reviews as subjective to say the least.

Can you explain to me how I order from fanatec do I make a paypal account first I tried to order the gt2 and on the step where it shows paypal it won't let me put any payment information in and I stopped there and then my order status showed I made a order and it's pending but I never actually finished. Please help

Why not write an email to Fanatec (website)? Or ask Thomas/Fanatec... here on GTP. He's the CEO of Fanatec ==> https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/member.php?u=115714

Or ask you question here: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=112348. You might have more luck.

I've got the converter which was a surprise since it came from Hong Kong in just one night. It took longer to process than for the shipping time.

I've tried it on TDU1 and FM3. I drove more on TDU1. Later I'll spend aslong as I can to see if I can fine tune any settings for it to work correctly on FM3.

First it doesnt have true FFB, but it has resistance when turning. The wheel is not set to 900 degrees which is a big let down. It is set to around 90 degrees. What the've done is trick the Xbox into thinking the wheel is a controller.

The way the buttons are for the G25 I cant use my paddle shifters or my sequential shifter to shift up unless I dont want to be able to use my A button. The A button is not only the A button on the shifter, but is also the right paddle shifter and forward on the sequential shifter. Whoever made that was not to bright. If somehow I can make the up-shift for the paddle or sequential shifters seperate of the A button I would be able to use them. If I could possibly make the Y button the upshifts somehow the shifter nonsense would cease. As of now I've only found out of one way to be able to shift both up and down and that is by using the red buttons on the wheel for just TDU1. I haven't explored enough of FM3 to see what options exist.

After some tuning and such with TDU I finally had it where it drove nicely. Using this wheel on FM3 is for me out of the question. With no true FFB it just becomes a guessing game on what you need to do.

All in all I would not say its a bad product it does basically what it says it would, but it doesnt do it spectacularly either. I do know using this with TDU2 is going to be enjoyable and since I have it I may aswell use it. Using this with FM3 is not something I recommend as of now.

I've emailed them about a few questions including whether any updates are going to be released for the FFB, possibly making the wheel 900 degrees, and also enabling the clutch.

Thanks for the info... I hope they fine tune the software . 90* steering IMO isnt goin to cut for me on forza . Is the fffb (fake force feedback) strong at lock ? I guess I can't knock till I try it . I'll be ordering one later tonight . streetfighters bout to get crazy .

I have received mine as well but can not get it to work.
It is stated that a 'wired' XBox controller is required, I assumed that a Play&Charge kit would be enough, given that a controller can work with it even without the battery. It seems that I was wrong. I plug in the controller as instructed and through the converter it works, but when I switch to the G25, it is not recognized.
The instructions say after the controller is plugged in the LED on the F1 would turn to green, mine never stops changing color.

I guess I am expected to buy a wired controller for the XBox. Which I will not, hence, I have wasted money on this thing. *buyer's remorse activated*

no, you need a wired controller. play and charge passes no data. never mind. only "works" with wheels?

I can't believe people are surprised that this is crap!

I am not really surprised, but I admit I was excited at the possibility I could use the G27 on the 360. However, right when I found out it would not be so great, I placed an order for a GT2 and clubsports, so hopefully it is a blessing in disguise!

If they can work out the issues via firmware updates then this thing still can be the ULTIMATE adapter, they at least got the G25 and 27's to work, which is respectable and not necessarily crap, but crap overall I can agree, however if they can and is possible fix the issues, it could still be the stuff it was hyped up to be.

This is a disapointment it seems. Hopefully they can straighten it out with firmware updates.

Just out of curiosity though, does anyone trying this actually own the xbox 360 wheel? I wonder how the adapter would work if you plugged the 360 wheel into it, instead of a 360 controller. Would the game then think you are using the actual 360 wheel, and then give options to tune the wheel instead of the game thinking you are using a regular controller?

This is obviously not practical, but just wondering for curiosity sake.

The 360 wheel is wireless, so you can't connect it to anything.

This is disappointing, the 90 degree rotation is what really gets me.. 90 degrees? Seriously, even the lowest end of low end wheels have like 200 or something.

Iam idiot I meant to say it rotates 90 degrees one way which would make it around a 180 degrees.:dunce: Also I received a reply from them and it states.
Hello

Due to the Chinese holiday here, all our staffs and R & D department are closed for holiday till 11/2/2011 , so we will replay your question then, and yes, we will update our device via software as well, thanks

Regards

So hopefully they do some good updates. Only one problem is I cant find the software on the website to be able to get the updates when they are released.

I've also found when testing the rapid that you cant use a wired headset when having the wired controller plugged into the converter. I tried the Xbox controller on the PS3 with GT5 and it worked great. A wireless headset is mandatory for the use of this on the Xbox.

I dont play Tekken or any of the fighting games so I cant test the combo button memory.

If they upgrade the FFB to act as actual FFB and possibly make use of the clutch this converter in my book would be well worth it. If I had the knowledge I have now of it and was going to order it, I most likely would again since it saves me the trouble of having the MS wheel and this wheel basically sitting on one another.

That's too bad. I could probably live with the tension system and rumble as long as it was strong. I really hate how weak the XB wheel is in terms of resistance. Makes the FFB effects not even worth it almost.

But not being able to use the H-Gate, clutch or properly use the paddle shifters make this a pass for me.

I hope they get the FFB working properly and I've heard about a huge deadzone issue that would also need to be addressed.

From what I have read about it there is no force feedback with the wheel just a kinda rumble effect. Not to great in my opinion.
