Has anybody pre-ordered this thing yet? I am getting close...

Also, does anybody have any other XCM products? I noticed some of their other items require a wired controller and I am wondering if you have to use a regular wired controller or if possibly a Rockband wired guitar controller would work?

Hello all, long time lurker, first time poster.
Just wanted to let you know, I ordered this and will be reporting the results as soon as I receive it. ($93, will ship in next day or so)

I can't wait to try it out on Forza 3, which I have gone back for the first time since GT5 came out and the responsiveness of the interface almost made me cry.

Right on man, let us know how it works for you, what wheel will you be using? If this is compatible w/ the DFGT then that would be awesome, can anyone who will be getting one of these test it w/ a DFGT, that would be much appreciated, curious if that will work, I mean it should unless it specifically is programmed to only work w/ G25/G27 wheels.

I am on a G25. I would love to try it on a DFGT for you but the closest owner I know lives in Brussels and he does not have a 360. Sorry about that. :)

Again, don't forget you need a wired controller to plug into the device first. I'm not sure if any controller (Rock Band Guitar, MadCatz, etc...) would do, or if you need a standard XBox controller.

Agree w/ the online service trumps PSNs, but you're far wrong about the MS wheel, the MS wheel was by far a great wheel, not the best, but even w/o the bearing mod (which does increase the feel and stability a decent amount) was a superb wheel w/ high quality materials, plastics, and excellent FFB and control, albeit some saying weak FFB, I thought it was damn ok, you must be talking about a different wheel, haha.

I stand by my opinion that the MS wheel was a pile of garbage. I went through 4 of them, I still have one here with its busted paddle shifter. I have no patience for weak FF.

And for Zoom Zoom, the Turbo S was the official wheel for FM3, that is fact.

Will be interesting to see what kind of feel the G25/G27 has in Forza 3 since FM3 uses both FFB and rumble and the logitechs don't have any rumble motors.

Haha no worries mate and nice on the G25, if this works as well as say a Fanatec works in terms of FFB which it has the potential to as Fanatec does the same thing when it hooks up to the PS3 - not official drivers but emulates the Logitech's FFB data calls - then RIGHT ON XCM!! 👍

How is it possible when the xbox360 doesnt support ffb only rumble? I dont think its real ffb but only rumble and clearly there is a delay once for the wheel to rumble. All in all not bad but please making false ad is just plain wrong.

From my understanding X360 only send rumble signals and not ffb. This means the wheel or device has the interpret the signal then commands the wheel's ffb itself. GT2,Turbo S and X360 wheels has a chip build-in that does this.

That is mistaken junior. Originally the x360 did not support ffb only ruble. But as ms/t10 are basically one in the same monster. When it was decided that fm3 would need to support ffb to be taken seriously, the x360's firmware was updated to use an unused output channel to communicate ffb information.

Hmmm... I don't know about that. PGR3 was updated to support the FFB wheel, and Forza 2 and PGR4 did too, and those all released before Forza 3. I could be wrong, but I'm too lazy to drag out the Microsoft FFB wheel to check. Maybe tomorrow. =P

The 360 most certainly does support FFB, lol. The 360 has full XID FFB as well as support for two rumble motors.

The 360 has ALWAYS had FFB. PGR3 was a LAUNCH GAME and it had FFB, who starts these rumours?

Honestly, PGR3 probably didn't have FFB at launch... M$ did release a new version of PGR3 with the V1 (the recalled version) Microsoft wheel as a pack in that had wheel support added (the Greatest Hits package did too) and there was DLC to add FFB for the existing copies. V2 (the one I got, large box) replaced the PGR pack in with a Forza 2 demo, because by then Forza was the poster child-game for the wheel. The V3 version had a smaller box, but I never opened one so I can't tell you what was inside.

But who cares, that's all semantics at this juncture, the point is, yes, X360 has FFB support.

Ok, well good news, I'm not sure how everyone on this site is familiar with Inside Sim Racing. I was just over on their forums and Shaun, one of the hosts of the show, said they have one on the way for review. I'm not sure if you guys have seen any of their reviews before, but they are very professional and before I buy anything I usually see if they have any reviews or anything for the product first.

Anyways, the link is as follows, i'm not sure if i'm allowed to link to other sites here or not, if i'm not i'll edit the post

Inside Sim Racing? No, I am sure no one here has ever heard of them ;)

Hello all,
I just received a notice from Renchi that mine has been shipped. I will start reporting here as soon as I receive it.

Well I see a new g/27 in the future ......it's on like donkey kong :) this will be the 3rd xcm converter . May have a reason to dust of forza and buy the new car pack .

Oh man that video makes it look like there is a ton of lag... shadows of the first mouse adapter from them :(

Also it seems every time the car hits a wall regardless of which side of the car it is or the speed the FFB effect is the same - 90 degree sharp rotation right.

Personally, I would be more interested in an adaptor permitting to use the Logitech Driving Force GT on the Xbox. I really don't like the standard Xbox feedback steering weel. You don't feel the car with that wheel.

Sorry if this is rather of topic, but until the adaptor arrives, which is actually the best choice for a not too expensive good steering wheel for the Xbox.

You have 2 options. The microsoft wheel. Which is garbage.....and the Fanatec GT2. Which if my fanatec pwts is anything to go by, is a damn good wheel. ISR are absolutely loving the gt2 at the moment, they have just done a full episode dedicated to it and basically hailed it as the best wheel available full stop at this point in time. Thats about your only option...the microsoft wheel, the fanatec gt2. Or try to get a second hand pwts

I think he wrote "not too expensive good wheel" for the X360 which the answer is there is none. This adapter is the only hope of a cheap option for those who already owns a Ps3/PC wheel.
ISR is supported by Fanatec and Gamepod so I'm sure they are loving both products right now. Of course that how marketing works, the more successful ISR becomes the more they are becoming an infomercial.
