hi all i've been using tunes from various garages since going online in october and i must say it's improved my game considerably,i have now started playing around with tuning myself with average results, question is using tunes from GTP's garages where do i start making adjustments to suit the comfort range of tyres as most if not all the tunes i use are for ss/rs...any advice most welcome

Going for sport or racing tires to comfort is a big loss in tire grip, so you have to make up for it by softening the springs and damper to maximize what little grip there is. That in turn increases body roll so on and so on. Basically that hardest part of tuning is finding a good starting place and understanding how each adjustment affects the others. You can try my setup calculator or sheet (in my signature) see if that helps. If you do aim for passenger car settings with low ride height, and stiff rebound. From there you would just need to optimize the anti-roll and camber settings.

a lot to digest there poontanir great work :tup:as a starting point i did the 400pp tt in a vx 220 tuned to 400pp then fitted suspension on to which i entered the stock suspension settings i stiffened up springs added to everything by no more than 2 and instantly improved by over a second so a good starting point.thanks for the advice.
