:guilty: no wheel here for this fellow:ill:

however there is a rumor :sly: that BestBuy is clearing out the DFGT wheels for half price :)

Get in your car and drive.... wait until they open and buy one. : )

Mrs. Ncrthree and my kids got me F1 2012 for Christmas. My racing world has just gone into a fast motion blur. Recommended for a real speed rush.

Tried the demo of F1 2012. Seemed pretty cool. Good luck. Seemed like a pretty hard game for me.

Scorpion, get out there and buy that wheel!

Yeah, it is hard! Miles beyond GT5's offline race mode, (very) competitive AI. Real world tracks. Not that far off from GT5's graphics. It's way faster paced than any sim driving I've ever done. I've gotten a little dizzy in cockpit view!

I don't know too many tracks so the only track I've been racing on is Spa. Just ran a 22 lap (50% length) race with easiest AI, no aids, cockpit view. Started 17th finished 14th. Needing full concentration the whole race. Off and on Rain didn't help. Worn out!

Also, apparently the game has been updated so the steering feels spot on now unlike the demo.

Clearly you don't watch enough Formula 1.

no where near the :dunce: blurring speeds of F1 here, struggling :indiff: with the new DGFT I got for $80
any tips and or suggestions would be helpful:drool:
right now only getting up to the 1:55 mark at Nurburgring GP/F in my Peugeot 908, still having trouble with the lack of traction control :scared:
and kinda of shocked at how much you need to turn the wheel in a race car :guilty::scared::ill:

Scorpion, you got a wheel! Awesome! Now that you have pedals the traction control is your right foot. Brake in a straight line before you turn the wheel, roll through the corner and slowly start to accelerate at the apex. Run laps like that for a while. After a while you'll know when it's time to push the limits. Also, be sure your wheel is securely mounted. Make sure you have force feedback turn up so you can feel it. When the ffb gets easy that's when you're losing front grip.

Now it's time for me to go pick up my Christmas gift to me.... Glock 17.....

Congrats Scorpion!!! That's a great "get" at that price!

Take the advice above and make sure its securely mounted. I also turned up my FFB all the way. Makes driving all but the Red Bull better.

Great price. It definitely changes the way the game is played vs. a controller. It took me about 10-12 hours to get used to it. I have my force feedback maxed. got to have some sort of sturdy platform.

On a side note, I've begun working on the next season of STC and umm I'm really gonna need your guys faith in me. Things are gonna be different but ultimately all for the best. Hope I can count on you guys to give it a shot because I can give it all the work I can spare but I can't have a race league without you guys.

Awesome! I am happy to hear it. Now get out of that Peugeot and get into something like a Miata. Start with something a bit easier to drive as you need to train yourself with a wheel. Its like starting all over again!

Not sure about the DGFT. But i believe my ffb is set at 6 if that is any help.

Well, congratulations Scorpion-that's a good investment. It's what I use.

Settings: Simulation, FFB-6 or 7, Power Steering Off (but since my arm troubles I've got it On and like it) Just see what you like best with the FFB-some like more, some like less.

If you're going to be driving w/o ABS, you'll need to add some brake pedal resistance. I added a couple small bungee cords around the pedal and stuffed small pieces of a very firm sponge in the slot under the pedal. ABS1-not needed but still helpful. Good luck!

Oh yeah and don't drive automatic. Although automatic works fine you can make your car turn better by downshifting at the turn. Compression braking on a rear wheel drive car is useful.

It's carried by every law enforcement officer in PA. Reliable and easy to use. Money well spent..... I'll buy another one in spring. The wife needs her own...

I'm in the process myself. Just waiting for my paperwork to go through (3 months). Looking at a Glock 40. It's carried by my local law enforcement.

Looks like "stormwatch" has a whole new meaning after the last.

I'm getting a compact. Probably a Springfield. XDS 45 more than likely, so it can go places. I also like the FN Fiveseven for the wife as home defense.
