wow guns, PC's and PCars interesting stuff if you can afford it.
anybody know what happend to the LeMans' thread, I know it was around here somewhere??
is anyone interested in practicing for the upcoming series race in 3 days time?

or have we all gone out and bought PC's and abandoning GT5 for the hopes of some thing greater out there in the form of "pay as you go, but don't run off in the grass or bump anybody" iRacing
or are you hopping that PCars will be a driving simulator and not an arcade style of game and being finished in less than a year?
just wondering.... out here in GT5 land....

Scorpion..... it pains me to say this....... you're right... there I said it but don't get used to it. Lol.

I'll be honest, if it weren't for this great group of fun racers I would be in PC SIM land and not look back... I truly enjoy spending time racing and chatting with you guys. My experience so far with PC racing is with iRacing. The physics are great. My real life comparison is Limerock track. I've raced on that track and iRacing does a great job with it. The graphics are better in GT5 but that's not the reason I race. When I touch GT5 on Wednesday I'm sure I'll be in for a shock... oh well.

:dunce: Sorry just trying to get this thread back on track :dunce:

I thought it might be nice to get back on track with this series, thats all.:sly:
I did not mean to offend  any PC power users out there, after all if I could afford to play iRacing I would.💡
For me the GT5 + PS3 bundle($299 when I bought it:)) was a lot cheaper than a gaming computer I wanted to get (right now it is worth $799 and it still wouldn't be able to run Project Cars!:scared:)

Whoa... don't get upset. We'll be back on course shortly. The holidays just shook things up.

Oh god now you got me of topic...:indiff:
got the old 908 Peugeot running at 1:48's around Nurburgring GP/F :dopey:
still can't figure out the damn wheel spin problem:ill:, think it must be all the damn torque this car has... wheel is working nicely:sly:

Have you changed your setup? They are usually different between wheel and controller. I have a pretty stable one for that car if you need it.

Are you enjoying the wheel more than the controller? Give it a month and things will really start clicking and those times will start dropping.

I posted a set-up for the 908 in this thread. Also the 908 IS the fastest car here - so no excuses.

It's free to play, but it isnt very popular. Built off of the rFactor 1 engine.

Not free to play.... have to buy cars and tracks, then pay entrance fee to events.

You can buy stuff with credits you earn in game, but you have to grid GT5 style to get enough. It doesnt matter simraceway is bad anyway.

Yeah, it is hard! Miles beyond GT5's offline race mode, (very) competitive AI. Real world tracks. Not that far off from GT5's graphics. It's way faster paced than any sim driving I've ever done. I've gotten a little dizzy in cockpit view!

I don't know too many tracks so the only track I've been racing on is Spa. Just ran a 22 lap (50% length) race with easiest AI, no aids, cockpit view. Started 17th finished 14th. Needing full concentration the whole race. Off and on Rain didn't help. Worn out!

Also, apparently the game has been updated so the steering feels spot on now unlike the demo.

I've been having a blast with F1 2012. Playing career mode, intermediate difficulty with abs and damage, visual only. I have a seat with Force India and am currently leading the driver's championship with a small lead over Hamilton and just four races left on the calender. I'm running only 25% race distance. I'm not sure if my dwindling powers of concentration could handle anything longer.

As NCR said, the AI is quite amazing. They seem almost human, unlike GT5. KERS and DRS add another dimension and something else I can screw up.:nervous: I picked Webber as my rival and if I finish ahead of him at the end of the season, I get a seat with Red Bull. Yeah, baby.

As much fun as I'm having with F1, I would still like to rejoin you misfits when my work schedule lessens. Maybe the next STC.

Congrats on the new wheel, Scorp!!!!
