Why are you not running a BST spec car

He said this a few pages back:

I got a Scuderia that meets regs I just gotta add Aero.

So that's the one he's been signed up to, so even though the SP1 is close to BST spec, it's not allowed đź‘Ť

Where would a VW Golf Mk 6 fit in this?

The Golf isn't used in any class' championship, and as of such not allowed :)

So qualifying is definitely at 2 PM BST right?

Yup, qualifying start at 2 PM BST đź‘Ť

alright,
but which car is allowed?
Dodge Viper GTS-R Team Oreca 600+hp
Honda Epson NSX '08
Nissan GTR GT
Subaru Cusco Impreza GT

See the links almost at the bottom of the OP? These will take you to the OP of the championships represented. From there, find out which cars can be used and what HP/weight they run đź‘Ť

If you're thinking about the GT500, no, as only the GT300 class is nominated

im sorry but I don't get it.

The only car you listed that would be allowed is the Subaru. You'll have to click on the various links to online series in the OP to find specs for the car unless someone posts them here for you.

Ok, so I'm doing a bit more testing, and thus far, I'm 0.202 from the 1:53.8 mark I'm supposed to be hitting for the Ford Focus for ITCC.

Pffft! Erm, sort of. I don't whack EVERYTHING ON the car then limit it to whatever gives me the bhp I need.

I only tune to a certain point, say like, if the bhp drops at a certain point high in the revs, I only tune and limit to eliminate that. I do put all racing clutch/LSD components on, and lower the weight to a point where I use enough ballast to fiddle with the distribution slightly, so that I can iron out tyre wear issues and such.

How many stops are ITCC likely to have?

also don't forget the GT300 cars should be pretty much stock (according to the series thread), so no turbo or engine upgrades allowed. The use of these can be verified through replays so you may be disqualified if caught using an illegal car spec.

I really haven't a clue off the top of my head, Gedi. I haven't raced ITCC since the tyre update and since they switched to Racing Hards. This is 90 minutes of racing too, much much longer stints that they'd originally do, so I'll have to analyse my current replay of 7 laps (6 really, last one doesn't count) and go from that.

Looks like i can stretch it to 20 laps before needing to pit đź‘Ť Rally i'm thinking of changing car AGAIN  :embarrassed:

Your decision though. Maybe it's getting time for me to begin tuning the Italia, anyone potentially up for practise in ~1 hour?

Well I completed 6 laps in roughly 11:30, and my Ford's front tyres were about, say, 20% worn. Probably safe to assume that the Racing Hards will last 50 minutes on FFs before it is completely illogical to continue with them. On that basis, we'll probably stop twice at most. Watch the BMW 330i only do 1 stop, though, since it is FR and FR will probably go about 70 minutes into the race without any tyre issue.

đź‘Ť that's what I'm aiming for,a 2 stop

Whack everything on if you're allowed. You'll get more torque and it'll easily net you those .2 tenths you're chasing. đź‘Ť

Good.

I was going to say, I managed a 25-lap race here on Racing Mediums in Rolex without pitting, so 25 laps on Racing Hards shouldn't be too big of an ask. Mind you, Rolex doesn't have as much weight or power as BST or WGT.

OH!!! How are we actually finishing as far as classes go, once it hits 93 minutes?
