Akasaka Grand Prix -Ciro from the Giro steals 1st!

Homework :yuck:... no training today:indiff:

But tomorrow I'll be at home earlier:)

EDIT: I have the time!!! any lobby open? rallymorten?:)

EDIT2: I will open a lobby... Akasaka Training

EDIT3: Again, no interest... closed

I'll be on Friday afternoon, as from about 2pm BST to get in a bit of practise and fuel calculations if anyone wants to join me then?

In a test lounge with possible weather change (it still works! :dopey:)

Btw, still hopes of a good connection, long story 👍

Edit: aaaand disconnected. 1 man in the lobby for 15 minutes, imagine 16 for 90 :scared:

Open again? ITCC @ Tokyo was a surprisingly fun-to-drive combination, and a bit of practice never hurt anyone.

No, that'll be all for today, hopefully tomorrow :)

At least I got some practice in the 458, feels quite good, but a little heavy :)

Sorry to ask like this, I'm not bragging, but is there any way we could see if anyone has any better internet connections?

I've got 16 ms ping, 0% latency, ~45 mbps download, and 2.8 mbps upload.

If anyone can claim something better than that, please post it up. I'd like to see if anyone else is, perhaps, more suited to hosting than I am.

I'm not even going to bother at my network here  should be decent-good at my dad's though, mainly thanks to wired connection

Since most of the contestants are in Europe though, wouldn't it make more sense to have a European host?

If you guys are worried about hosts, you need to run a fixed-host public room. Private lounges are all P2P shared connections.

^this. It would mean we get randomers joining at random points though, but it also means we are all connecting to one central place.
I have had no issues with rally's connection in the past though so if he has wired I see no reason why he shouldn't host.

I'm all for a fixed host if someone's got a good enough connection to do it (and is based in Europe). Thing is, I can do fixed connection IF I'll be at my dad's place. If not, as proven yesterday, it can hardly hold myself online in GT5 (can in about every other game though.. :odd:)

Then we all die :( . That's the downside of the fixed-host, so make sure the host has a good connect. Otherwise just do the usual private lounge.

Okay, I know, this comes fast but I'm in a training room right now... join me!!!

Joining shortly.

Also, if we're doing that whole "fixed host" thing, I could do fixed host. I haven't been disconnected from a GT5 server in five months.

Argh! Just as I was 100 meters from banking a potential 1:42'er!

Anyway, was quite good so far. Did a few laps, a little lapping test (that's how to do it GTR), all in pretty good this far. I also noticed that the track heavily favors power, which means in order for GT300 to have a chance, they should only pit under cautions
