Akasaka Grand Prix -Ciro from the Giro steals 1st!

Looking forward to racing with heavy damage as well, never done it in a competitive race before. Plus I've never really done a race longer than about 45 minutes, so it should be good fun.

I.e. I'll be taking it easy.

At the last event (Trial Mountain 2hr) I don't think anybody finished without having to make an unscheduled pit stop at least once as a result of taking heavy damage

I'll do my best to buck that trend. :mischievous:

Yer an extra 2 stops for me last time, 5 in total. On this circuit i think i'll be in the pits more times than a coal miner :grumpy:

Just drive below your limits a little bit and watch for traffic. Especially since there are 4 classes.

I think if I drive consistent, I might win in my class but Ford is a tough cookie.

:D

For a benchmark I just did a quick run to familiarise my self with the track and different tyres (which I actually prefer to be honest, much more gradual) and got a 1:42.131 with the possibility of 1:41s.

I should think BST guys should be a touch quicker given the slight hp advantage. 👍

I have a Safety Car already and I have a pretty clear understanding of the Safety Car procedure stated in your OP.

Well, then welcome in 👍

I can do full race broadcast. :D

As in a YT video with commentary too? :embarrassed:

something about heavy damage

Imo, an endurance with light damage is just a long sprint. Gives you no reason to race clean and tactical :)

Yeah, it may seem to cause nothing but frustration in short races (though that all depends on the drivers in said race), but it really makes things a bit more interesting and realistic in 30 minute + races :)

Also, why is there no Aston Martin Vantage in either class? I had just hoped to use one :(

The main problem with it in short races is people tend to be way too pushy, the great thing about long races is even if they are being pushy, it doesn't really hurt you to just hang back a bit until everyone has calmed down. 👍

Just what I mean. In shorter races people are common to think the race is won or lost in the next corner. That exactly is why I like races between 1 and 2 hours. 4 hours is pushing it, especially if the track is called Tsukuba

GGT or ITCC???

Decisions :banghead:

Looking at either the Focus or the 458.

GGT. When I've then decided on a BST car to use, all classes have 3 cars :)

Nah, you decide, really

I don't like the GTR's straight line speed, the SLS is too heavy for me, the Maccy is no more, the GT will try to kill me and I don't like german AC units (R8).

I guess I'll take the Flamerari (It will burst into flames eventually).

PSN/GTP (Everyone knows this): sparkytooth/sparkytooth50001

Class: GGT

Car: Flamerari 458 Italia GGT spec.

The Flamerari is atleast balanced in all departments IMO.

Drove one for testing for one of nas' crazy ideas.

Also Morten: I want my free 1000 ticket (I'll most likely get another 787B :ouch:)

You'll get it in time Sparky :)

GGT is now full! Last to get entered, first to get filled

That I can understand, it's easier if you know your car.

Speaking of cars, I have a few cars in consideration to run, but expect the announcement soon :)

Well, I've tried the GT, I like it a lot... :sly:

I like it too, but you need to be careful with throttle control. With the GT-R I can be a lot less careful, which in a long race is a lot more preferable to me, even if the GT is the faster car overall. Especially since I've used it for the past few weeks and have an understanding of it's nuances. 👍

It says it's a 2:30pm BST start- does that mean when the race starts or qualifying?

Will be interesting to see the comparison between the classes. BST should be the fastest due to the sheer power with G-GT close behind, but I'm not sure about the GT300s, with all that DF they could be a surprise. :scared:

That's race start, qualifying is 30 minutes prior to that :)

But yes, BST seems favorite to take the win yet again, with GGT not too far behind. GT300 is the unknown variable though. They're a bit down on power, but as you said they have great aerodynamics and they weight less too, that just might earn back the time lost on the straight. And if not I can imagine the fastest ITCC guys battling with the slower GT300.. Looks to be a good race 👍

Right, is that just a sort of drop in session? So I could turn up at 2:15 or something to set a lap? :)

The GT300 should also be light on tyres and fuel as well, ITCC I imagine will be quite heavy on tyres, especially the FFs. I suppose all that matters is the battles in individual classes though, since we're not technically racing the others. 👍

Although I think G-GT might be able to snatch an overall win if the BST guys get too friendly with a wall or two. :)

So what lap times can I expect from the other classes? How often am I going to have full mirrors in my humble Civic?!? :D
