Put me in for the Tuesday. What colour does the car look good in. Don't want to paint it trying to find a colour I like for ages. Just gonna finish running it in and paint it so we don't have 10 of the same colour car. 👍
To be honest, I think it's good with a variety of colours.
The only colours I would avoid are maybe silvers or light grays or pale shades of yellow or beige. Pick something dark or bright.
(If you want the lettering & such to stand out.)
Mine right now is Celeste (solid paint, not the metallic), but I'm going to change it for novelty.
Celeste (solid) is this blue:
Here's some examples for you.
(I think the matte colour might be Matt Black)
Just realised that its very likely I'll miss the Tuesday race, will deffo try my best to get in the saturday one. This is one of my favourite cars and it is perfectly suited to the track, which I also love.
BTW, you could probably expect another Targa Florio Part 2 endurance in the summer, of course using a classic race car(s)
I think you'd get a lot of interest in that from this crowd. 👍
The track is perfectly suited to a LOT of cars.
Frankly the only thing that would stop me putting a car on this track is if it was a car that with the stock transmission it hit the limiter on the straight.
Otherwise I've driven the Alfa Guilia Sprint Speciale, as well as luxury Jags on it. And in shuffle the pick-up truck wasn't all that bad on it either!
Verde Countach looks good. Used that, then put on the aftermarket wheels with the little red ring on the outside of the rim.
Anyway it took me 3 tries to get into the GT Auto. Wasn't signed in and it gave me the logo indefinitely twice. Having to restart twice. Anyone else got this since the update?
Anyway, haven't signed in since the update yet.
But for a couple months now, I have had problems where sometimes I lag on the logo when opening the game... so who knows. Never had that problem before. I'd wondered if it was something to do with the disc reader in my case.
Just realised the race is tomorrow. Oh my, will have to run the car in tonight.
I've also decided I will henceforth use the colour Blu Hera for all cars I race, with the possible exception of multi-car events. I've just fallen in love with the colour, but the only problem is, that the cheapest car it comes with, is the Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, so it comes at 380,000 cr. per paint job. Ok, if you subtract the selling price, it might only be, what, ... 250,000? At least I know how to spend my credits in the future...
Just a reminder!
Audiman2011 / Street-King-07 is acting as race director. 👍
Don't give him a hard time.
I hope to make it, but I might be a smidgen late if I do, and miss qualifying.
(Which in my case would probably make little difference... and even could be a good thing for me with the whole damage heavy turn 1 scenario. I really don't want to smash into the rail on turn 1. )
Did a couple of laps yesterday and this combo is really a hoot to drive! On fast tyre&fuel wear, it will be tricky concerning pit strategy though. The front tyres lose their edge already in lap 3, and although the car is still nice to drive, it understeers more and you can't be quite as aggressive afterwards, which means losing quite a lot of time through these myriad of 3rd gear corners. Makes me unsure, if 1 or 2 stops might be the way to go. Only a splash of fuel should be needed, so that's less of an issue. Probably 1 stop is fastest though, as you would have to be hotlapping for 16 laps with 2 stops and no mistakes allowed because of heavy damage.
I'll be there @ 2pm. hopefully we can start qualifying right at 2 and get everything into motion rather quickly because I have to get my brakes changed today at 3:15 or 3:30. Hopefully I can finish the race.
I'll be there with blue bells on... in a few minutes.
Again, not real blue bells... but I think they sure look like blue bells, and I think it's pretty close to Audiman2011's car colour.
(Anyone who's interested, they're actually called Grape Hyacinth, and they're in bloom right now.)
