All Japan Touring Car Championship with the R32 GT-R

R1600Turbo
I'd say keep it as real as possible.

Although, doing some research I don't believe this should be called "Group A" racing, more like the All Japan Touring Car Championship (Division 1). As that is where these cars came from.

That is what I will make the room name then. Sounds better anyway. Maybe a mod can change the name of the thread lol.

They were designed to win Group A touring car races around the world. So I'd say the thread was correct the first time around.

I wanted to make the series based on the Japanese championship.

I hope someone comes up with a lookalikes of the Nissan and Winfield racing R32's from Austrailia

Fair enough - it did however give me the inspiration to create a Group A-style Lotus Carlton in GT5. 570hp, racing hards, all the weight stripped out, and it was erm... crap. Well it was fun, but the setup I had meant it loved to entery corners very very sideways under brakes, despite only having 2/1 (no ABS) brake distribution.

Ah well. I'm gonna try to do a Reebok-inspired R31 Group A-alike.

I'll stop with the thread hijack now. :)

Lol. I forgot about the reebok car!!! If you come to the room on Sunday I'd at least like to check out the Lotus. I'm sure it looks awesome

I've just done a bit of reading about the Opel Omega DTM cars (Lotus Carlton in German markets) and it turns out they had about 450BHP and a big rear wing so it looks like I've got some modifications to do.

If I remember I'll try to join in on Sunday and show up with the Lotus and the Reebok(ish) R31.

Test room up!!! Room Is called All JPN TCC R32 GT-R. Car specs are listed on post #13.

I'd have shown up but it's Monday morning here and I have to go to work. Pity. I would've loved shaming you all (read: spinning off the road backwards in hopeless pursuit of a time miles-off the pace in my Carlton).

:D

I am definitely interested. I will be available for the rest of the day really, updating now, will see if the room is still up.

Guys!, i'm doing a championship just like that! LOL I did not know I would find someone with the same idea of making a championship as the JTC Group A R32!
