For those concerned about the standard/professional physics settings. If you pause the civic at laguna seca video at the first, you can see it says under skid recovery force: "Toggle on/off the function for beginners that stops skidding by increasing grip when the wheels start to slip."

That seems simple enough to me.

These small but significant details get missed in the rush to be the first to post about any given video or screenshot.
 
I'd really like to see a car w/a race mod.

The other thing I question is whether or not you can modify/paint/customize the SEMA winners or if they're just for photomode.

Apologies for stating the Skid Recovery Force was a slider and not a toggle earlier, Not for the first time I got confused with the way sliders appear lined up with the text for the option below. :dunce:
Sounds simply like a renamed physics option now.
 
Top Gear intro looks good-is that the new Stig?! Could you take a look at the Special Event-Grand Tour and Rally, when you get a chance Tekken90?

Who said anything about Bumpers*? It said 'Front', 'Rear', 'Extensions' (not side skirts :rolleyes:) and 'Wings', not 'Bumpers'. And the paint is limited to one spray because it's a complimentary paint and it comes with the car like in real life (well it does over here), but only allows for one coat of paint.

They're talking about front and rear bumpers... its pretty simple, extensions are referring to skirts, its all in the logo aswel as the evidence from some of the tuned cars in GT5p.

As for paint, it doesn't come with the car in real life, you basically can swap paints from other real life cars onto yours, for example you could make a white F40 if you really wanted to.

I think it would have probably been better to just select from a pallet, but PD have to be different, who knows this might make things more fun.

I'm not a troll, i love all the gt series, i bought 3 kind of different wheels for this game and after a huge waiting im sorry to say that im really really disappointed..
 
Although I appreciate Tekken's posts and want to ask a million questions I can't help but feel this is ruining the surprise a bit. And yet I can't look away :(

have you noticed something different about the invisible walls? I'm thinking at top gear track for example.. they were just too close in the various demo

i know but i feel really sad.
i were wondering all this huge wait and after all the beautiful news that they told us i were really in heaven. today after this 4 days of bad news (for me) i don't count the day remain.
they give us 3 tracks with time, 1 rally weather track, and nothing more, a beautiful track editor at least.
now, no modding for the standard car (rims for me is the most in this game) they kept it away, incredible really.
damage less than the demo build, mechanical damage inexistent, what i have to say??? I'm really happy. No. I'm not really this is the true.
I will buy the CE however and i will enjoy the online feature, i will be grateful when i will play it but not satisfied at 100%..

People forget how many years and time we were waiting??every day wondering aboout this game and writing in this superb forum??
For me this is a joke from sony, I'm disappointed really.

I know someone must have asked this before but I can't find it anywhere in this thread and I just have to know:
Tekken90, have you been able to verify or falsify the official track list yet?

Again I apologize if this was asked before, it's half past midnight here and I might have missed something.
 
Excepting the Standard Veyron and the absence of rim change, the limitations were expected (at least for me) for the Standard models, they look decent in crappy YouTube videos and maybe are cool to give that GT tradition feel and fill the grids, I honestly will play with them as much as I will do with the Premiums.

Well, but that's just me, I was playing GT4 today and still enjoyed it, so the game will earn a 'OK' from me. I'm still waiting to see the extreme events though.

Agreed.

Although, I'll probably focus on the premiums, I'm not upset by the standards anymore at all. Actually, the more I watch that civic video, the more fun it looks.

Getting upset because you can't change wheels? I don't get it.

A nice rim change can completely turn that crappy '80s commute hatch into a evil'ish looking pocket rocket. But regardless of that, the Premiums will still be there to be fully modded.
 
I asked yesterday, would you please make a NASCAR style track or two or four ;) with the track creator? 2 turns, 3 turns, 1 turn if even possible? It would make a lot of us NASCAR fans quite happy,

Eh, you can't even see the wheels the majority of the race, and its not worth taking photos of the standard cars anyways. I don't really understand why PD isn't letting us change wheels, but its not a big deal.

Granted. By the way some people are carrying on though, you'd think Kaz had come to these guys house and punched them in the nose after stealing their girlfriends.

Agreed.

By the way, I would like to thank tekken90 for the videos and ask for a tour on the rim change and rim coat GTAuto options. I'll definetely spend lots of time there.
