I mean GAWD DAMN, 60fps, 200mph done the RING's straight at night... tell me that doesn't get you excited.

Add some online friends who drive better than the AI, and you've got the most epic racing experience to date.

Add more than 200 premium cars that you can tune/customize to your hearts content, and you've got the most epic racing experience to date.

Add PS3 1080p (Almost) graphics, and you've got the most epic racing experience to date.

Add the most meticulously modeled vehicles, best lighting system, severely improved physics, weather, 800 additional standard vehicles, photo-mode, the redbull X1, coarse creator, damage... Kaz's and his teams passion... and you've got the most epic racing experience to date.

Do any of you have jobs? Do you know what it takes to accomplish something this monumental? Sure, there could be more... and there will be in GT6. FOR NOW, GT5 STANDS ALONE AMONG RACING SIMS.

Enjoy it for what it is. Why raise you blood pressure over something that you have no control over. None of you work at PD, none of you are making the decisions, Sony isn't your personal play toy. You are there's. You pay their bills... and despite all the bitching you are going to buy their game. THE END.

👍

I'm happy with GT5. It's basically a fresh start, like GT1 or GT3, so things will be missing, and some things won't be all in the game right now. But people don't seem to understand what PD have done over the 6 years; they don't realize that PD basically started afresh. I'll stop here, since you put it better than I could.

Exactly, I wish people would stop 🤬 about something they have not played.

uhm, they said 70 tracks in 20 locations. the 'Ring in nighttime and the 'Ring in daytime is the same freaking track.

And the game has 27 tracks (not counting variations), so they were right. People are complaining about the track count, but unless i'm forgetting a game, that 27 track count gives GT5 more tracks than any other console racing game with the exception of GT4. That's pretty damn good.

also, just 'cause GT3 had less tracks and cars than GT2, does that excuse PD for doing the same thing over again. so i guess GT7 will have less tracks and cars than GT6? might as well buy the even-numbered GTs with all the tracks and cars.

If GT6 is on the PS3 and GT7 is on the PS4, then yeah you should expect it to have less tracks than GT6.

MY BIGGEST DISSAPPOINTMENT THOUGH............

The option for NO HUD. When watching the Replays from the recent videos from the cockpit view it shows no hud and it just feels so good.

I WILL pay the coder whatever money because I know maybe out of that 60 million they ran slim. Shooot I'll pay for DLC of that even! :P

...but seriously

Then this game will be complete :)

GT6 will be in PS4...the PS3 could not handle (for sure) what "Kaz" wants to do with it.And i hope PS4 in about 3 years or 4 but no more. The PS3 is old. Harware.Needs more power to put more GT series power.;)

Can you please name one :)

GTR brings a lot...give me a second...i´m counting...36 ...but you can reverse all and put rain and change time ...whatever you want....
In GT5 27.

And i know it is different but in rFactor i have 107 different tracks and more but i never use it.

I kinda have to agree, and I still wan to be able to set how slow the sun sets, because right now it's way to fast

What did they promise? Did Kaz ever say that Spa was in GT5? Nope. Did Kaz ever say that every track would have weather? Nope, in fact the day that they released the weather info the website specifically said that it wasn't for all tracks (but it is for more than 3, as you misstated). And Kaz specifically said that the dynamic weather would work on endurance race tracks (Ring and Le Mans). Just because some either ignored or didn't look for readily available facts doesn't meant that they didn't deliver what they promised.

I hope you're not defending the fact that "not all tracks will have weather and day time", because "not all" has turned into only 16% of all tracks and variations having weather, only 7% have time change, and only 3% of all tracks can have both time change and weather. GT5 has turned out to be a game of very small percentages. As in all these great features being implemented in very small percentages across the game.

Thank You. 👍

Let's see how many minds you enlighten, and who stays ignorant.

I suggest you pick up a dictionary and read up what ignorance actually means. Most of the people compaining are much more informed about the game than you could ever hope to be.

I'm sure 6 will be on PS3 in about 2 1/2 years (which I think has prolly less than 4 years left before a new system.), and make the safe assumption it'll be the last on PS3.

In 4 years there should be a new system or speculation on a new system, technology is moving rather quickly especially within gaming.

Because you know me oh so well.

It's funny how people can make judgements on someone, thank you for reminding me.

and if you want me to go into details into my statement you quoted, I gladly will. I was simply applauding a much logical statement, in hopes the people can see it and understand.

woops!

I always get super excited like a little boy when it comes to new console generations haha. I really can't wait for GTPS4, true 1080p, true 60 fps, a lot of texture filtering and anti-aliasing, that already would be good.
But I do not only expect that, I believe the biggest graphical leap will be the environments, because as Kaz himself said, they probably will not change the poly count of the cars considerably, which I think, is a very good idea. GT5 cars on the PS4 with better effects/textures/shaders are more than enough, the poly count is even enough for the PS4 I think. Regarding the environments, I REALLY hope they develop dynamic 3D crouds and 3D vegetation, moving in the wind (remembering right now of the start of the GT1 intro) and considerably higher rez textures for buildings and a higher poly count for them, so that the environments are of the same quality as the cars themselfes, that would be so awesome.
By the way, the PSP2 is rumoured to have 1GB of Ram-GT5 conversion for it anybody?

Could be...GT5 is old too...when they released GT HD they had a lot of the game done and now this GT5 ("final version") brings "all" the things that they wanted (PD). (but thanks to this PS3 not all of them).
GT6 is under development but...5 or 6 years to make one all new with adds from GT4 (standard cars upgraded in HD quality)to make this bigger than it is...i don´t know if in 2 more years we are seeing other GT.
But they told that this GT5 has a new "base engine" and then it will be implement in GT6. And i guess that GT6 will have all new things with all cars being Premium for example (for those people who don´t like this in GT5) and all running in fully HD.And again man...if it is in that way the PS3 can´t handle.

(sorry if i made a mistake with my english)(a lot maybe but i don´t want to read all again...haha)

Yea me too! I'm current attending school for media arts and animation/modeling, been gaming me whole life, and I LOVe seeing the progression!

I assume as much aswell, there will be an overall smoothness and not much pixelation due to as you said having much higher quality textures. Exciting stuff, just heard that Nvidia bought this software that's called unlimited or infinite detail, and bases it's geometry not on polygons, but floating point cloud system, so you lose restriction of having to limit yourself in poly count, and can have multiple high poly anything in your scene!! 👍

Yea I think that's why they'll be able to do it within a few years, because they've already established a stepping stone on overcoming the learning curve of the ps3 hardware system and development for it, and now they'll be able to freely expand on that for the next game. And I'm sure having to develop a whole new physics system took an extremely huge part of the development time! I don't know how those guys do it!

WHy should people understand your "logical" statements when you refuse to listen theirs?

The thing is I do listen, once I do then I realize their ignorance based on whatever statement is made and whatever knowledge someone seems to present, and in turn see a statement like that guy I quoted said hoping that people can read it, and understand they don't know the whole process, and maybe look at from different perspectives.

Tekken, pleeeeeeease tell me that isn't the real GT Auto music. Also, the paint scenes are cheesy and remind me of a kiddie game which shall not be named. Rant over.

reading comprehension FAIL. when did they ever say the game has 27 tracks?

all the way back, they've always said 70 tracks in 20 locations. and by that they're counting a 'Ring at day and the 'Ring at night and the 'Ring at snowtime different, separate tracks. do you really think that makes sense?

if a local racing track in your area has ashpalt on the summer and snow on the winter, do you say that it is a different track? come on.

also, there's a complete Suzuka circuit, and a Suzuka East, but no Suzuka West? really?! you can have a whole Suzuka circuit but you can;t have a separate part of it?

oh wow we found something else to whinge about...... if u know GT games then you know that Kaz has always gone for that cheesy style for GT Auto..... i think it's great....

I cant wait for the 24th, there is so many great things that this game offers. I am amazed that you can not change rims on a standard car.......i realy dont know what to say.

reading comprehension FAIL. when did they ever say the game has 27 tracks?

They always said that it would be 20+ locations and 70+ tracks. Those locations were tracks. In Kaz's words, there would be 70+ tracks found within those 20+ locations. The Nurburgring is a location, Suzuka is a location ect.

The disappointment seems to stem from people creating a game in their mind that Polyphony never promised. That's not their fault it's the fault of those people for not actually keeping up with the game.
