I'm buying the dlc, it's only the 1st round of dlc anyway. This will be a hit, move more games, pay for more dlc in the future. ILMC sounds good to me. WEC does sound more up to date though.

ALMS has no GTR, has no Peugeot, Audi, Toyota (Rebellion), Pescarolo etc. If were basing rules of cars allowed by the way they run in the series as of now, we'd have no lmp's.

I don't care about the name too much, it's just semantics. ALMS has been the name for multiple seasons so it isn't too much of a big deal keeping it. Can't wait for DLC. I may be the only one but I love the new cockpit views in standard cars. Makes the RUF way more exciting!

Noooooooooooo
My brother snapped the clamps off my DFGT while incorrectly moving it :(
Not sure what to do?

/\ Rough?

Can I join for next season? GT1 with new DLC R35?

Don't worry I'm just kidding :P :sly: And we're running LMP, GT, and GTC, not GT1 and GT2 I think :) there's a GTPFIA World Championship though, search Jav. :)

BRAINSTORM IDEA!
GTC should use the Nissan! 💡

That was the name issue we were talking about because we race a lot (mostly) international tracks.

And yeah, what gatrs said. There are no 458 GT, XKR GT, etc. etc. The M3 (which I think is the only one) would have a distinct advantage.

Will we implement Spa?

I just won an iPad! Again! Today!

Spa is going to be an optional mid-season race with no points awarded.
Kind of like Le Mans for the ALMS teams.

I think ILMC is a better option. I might just run that series instead of this. But this one seems to have more interest, the thing is the car selection isn't accurate at all, especially in LMP. So if that's not changing, I don't see why cars like the new GTR can't be run.

This /\

Just drop American and name it Le Mans Series, open up to GTPFIA GT cars (LMP/FIAGT/LMSGT) and run with this.

True but whatever the name of the series is the car selection in GT/LMP has basically worked quite well for multiple previous seasons. We'd have to test/homologate (sp?) every new car that everyone suggests to be even with the other GT cars, and I feel like this series would be delayed too much.

I honestly think the series should not stray from the format that much. LMP/GT/GTC is what Le Mans runs, with slightly more variation but these are all core groups of the series.

Adding race cars to GT would make the class endlessly complex and unfair for those driving the road versions, and would stray tremendously from actual Le Mans. The only reason we run all those LMP cars that aren't current is because there isn't a selection otherwise, and in GT that isn't the case. All cars with the exception of the RUF have aero mod and can be upgraded to essentially racing versions of themselves (sports/racing).

You have to keep in mind that this isn't the inaugural season and that there's a certain system that makes it more "ALMS/ILMC" and less "random gt/lmp series," which I don't see as a failure in past seasons. The best racers proved they could win races in pretty much any car. I've seen some drivers place in the Aston Martin, which was one of the cars considered "lesser" to the other GT cars. Proving that we don't need the racing versions because whatever they provide in handling or whatever isn't necessary to make the series competitive and fun.

Just saying, I don't want to see this series turn to something that no longer resembles Le Mans besides its being multi-class. My 2 euros.

But I'll leave it up to gatrs to have the final say on this kind of thing. I'm just kinda a purist, insomuch as GT5 allows.

Purist and you say GTC is at Le Mans? Time for rethink ;)

I never meant race cars versing road cars, I said 2 classifications.

EDIT:
I'm purist too and Le Mans isn't Le Mans without GT1s.....
