I agree with Stavelot. There's only 'challenge' classes in ALMS. They're there to bump up the car count. In GT5 you have a max of 16 cars allowed. A challenge class seems kinda pointless, but there's people who want to race that class so it's not pointless to them. I wish there were more up to date cars from LeMans in GT5, but so far there isn't. Oh well.

MitchZ06, but sadly he got Perma-Banned from GTP :( I was only 2 points behind in second because I said he should get points because he got disconnected in our 2nd to last race, but if I didn't, that would be a sour win ;)

Purist and you say GTC is at Le Mans? Time for rethink ;)

I never meant race cars versing road cars, I said 2 classifications.

EDIT:
I'm purist too and Le Mans isn't Le Mans without GT1s.....

I meant ALMS specifically, sorry.

Is GT1 in Le Mans? From what I've seen there's only GT2, GTAm, LMP1,2, C (or am, whichever).

Por que ustedes no gusta spec racing? :D

Where are we with the ALMS? Are there going to be races? Is there a sign up page? Are there pre season races?

Funny you mention no GT1 yet theres no McLaren in ALMS either, but it won GTE in this series last season. So if McLaren was allowed why not a GTE GTR?

But in our series the Mclaren was not classified GT1, it was to run unclassified if Mitch was allowed to drive it and as I recall gatrs was pretty heavily against it. It's whatever. I've already stated my piece so whatever gatrs decides is fine by me. I just wanna get on with the season as soon as possible now that spec 2 is out.

Yea I found that a bit odd. :/

You'd still be a back marker anyway :P

And by the way does that mean 12-18 business days? :dopey:

I've been practicing, on the new vettel seasonal I got a 1:10, what did you get?
:sly:

McLaren won GTE and there has been talking of realism?....

GT1 is not at Le Mans anymore yes but it has been there and in ALMS when GTC has not been to Le Mans..

I think now you get double XP + prize money so you could get 10 million credits I think and double XP too! :)

I'm not saying you're wrong. I'm not very familiar with the European Le Mans series, mainly because there's hardly ever video available in the states, though I know they have the amateur classes which is something different, albeit still slower than the pro drivers.

But those challenge classes in ALMS do produce some amazingly close racing among some really talented drivers. I don't think the class exists merely to fill the grid. The Porsches are amazing machines and a staple of the racing world. I don't think it's fair to discredit them (not that anyone is doing that). But I don't think it would be boring racing, either. The RUF RGT is a fun car and at the specs gatrs suggested they're still nearly as quick as the other GT cars.

Seriously no one but me would race in this class?

GTE-Pro for pro pilots, GTE-Am for gentlemen pilots.

Formula Le Man LMPs are our LMPC.

👍

I remember hearing that about Formula Le Mans. LMPC/FLM also produces some great racing. There are always long, drawn-out last minute battles. I think adding that class would be equally as fun as adding a GTC class.

GTE is GT2 cars?

I thought all GT2 became GTE? Corvette Racing won GTE-Pro at Le Mans and Larbre GTE-Am.
