Thinking about the track list I've put my real world organiser's hat on and come up with the following:

Daytona
Laguna Seca
Fuji GT
Tokyo R246
Suzuka
Monza
Cote d'Azur
Nurb GP/F
La Sarthe 2009

Sorta groups the races together by same country and makes it more of a real international series. I would like to throw in a custom course for NZ after Suzuka but that's more gogatrs decision...

Some funny stuff to consider:
The BMW 135i Coupe from the NCD could be a stand-in for the M3 to keep the minimum weight below 1300kg as its maxed out stats are 559hp/1264kg vs an M3's portly 1342kg.

Was thinking about this series, but I've got plans for my own running cars in the Pirelli World Challenge Sports Cars. I might have room for this though, depending which day/time.

Sounds pretty good if it gets the approval of everyone else.
I'm going to say no to the course creator track though.

The 135i is also a good idea. Isn't the M3 a tuned version of the 330i? Is that in the NCD? I'll have to think about it...

@Seth, races will be Fridays around 9.

No 330i in the NCD and the Z4M doesn't get powerful enough. Is there a standard Jag XK that can get below 1300kg?

The 135i fully tuned can only get 1:28 on Laguna Seca, but that was a dirty lap, but it still struggles to reach 160mph by the end of the straight

With 500 HP?
Are we all on right now and want to do some testing?
I can take a break from homework...

Also, sorry for not having the new thread up yet. I didn't realize school would take up so much time.

560hp with 1300kg

How could you! And I thought we were so perfect together! :(

...Ahem, I'll no doubt disappear from here once FM4 shows up with its somewhat real ALMS :sly:

1 quick lap in the 135i at 560hp/1300kg, 1:25.254. Likely to be in the 1:23/24's with more time and half tanks.

Just noticed something BS going on with the poll too....

LMP, GT1, and GT2
freshseth83, gnsnprwldwsl, gogatrs, landonh12, rocko100

LMP, GT, and GTC
Cowboys965, MitchZ06, Tower Turn 13

Freshseth said he might not make it (so why even vote!?) whilst gnsnprwldwsl hasn't posted here at all and I'm not sure if he was in the series or not last season (sorry man, I think you may have been? someone correct me on that?) and then there's the vote of someone who no-one here may know, landonh12. Cut off atleast freshseth's vote and landonh12's and we've got a tie...

I've been thinking this over for a while....I'm considering running in GT2 to actually compete and win something so I'm either going to go with the Vette Z06 (ZR1 = :yuck:) or if allowed I'll run the F1 at 500hp/1300kg (should be the minimum spec for GT2).

I'm going to do some testing on various cars for GT2, I'll post the results up when I'm done.

Yay, or GT ;)

Possibly can the F1 from GT2, just too fast :dopey:

So if I do decide to go GT it'll be with the Z06.

Maybe we should cut off your vote Mitch, seeing as how you said before you weren't sure if you'd be in this since your precious McLaren might not be allowed. PLUS- I said depending on the time. Seeing it's the same as last season I'll be in it, so my vote counts, thanks. You worry about your own issues and I'll be doing the same too. Speaking of issues, the 135 is plenty fast. It's just as fast as the M3, and lighter. Not much of a difference for times but over a stint it might make a difference. The Nissan Z is a nice little car as well.

I don't think the BMW M3 is underpowered, I think it's more of just we didn't really have any good drivers driving it

We could have a bad driver driving it, with me driving it too, then it'll seem there's a great driver:dopey:
BTW DiRT3 messes with my GT5 skills! They feel way too different!

I'll be taking either the M3 or XKR next season.
Or perhaps I'll go to LMP with the V12 LMR, whichever needs more people.
Perhaps even GTC.

There will be testing tonight at about 8-11 EST.
The more people that show up, the sooner we can get official preseason races going.

Finished all my homework in study hall today. :dopey:

You're bloody hilarious to stir up :sly:

You didn't read through this thread did you? Otherwise you'd know I've been allowed to run the F1, just unclassified.

Plus, I'm keen on running the full season, no ifs or buts. None of this "depending on the time" stuff, I'm definitely in.

Honestly gatrs I don't think anyone is really going to want to race with either the M3 or XKR simply because even at 1300kg minimum they're still alot heavier than everything else. I'd say ditch the XKR and run with the 135i to allow the weight limit to be kept at 1250kg, just my opinion.

I might probably race with the M3, too
