I'll be taking either the M3 or XKR next season.
Or perhaps I'll go to LMP with the V12 LMR, whichever needs more people.
Perhaps even GTC.

There will be testing tonight at about 8-11 EST.
The more people that show up, the sooner we can get official preseason races going.

Finished all my homework in study hall today. :dopey:

Hey there sorry I haven't been around for much testing. Do you wanna team up in M3s? PM me...

nuh-uh nuh-uh. Called it way back :P

Don't make me drive an XKR...

EDIT: maybe me and cowboys could team up in M3s? Depending on if Gatrs wants it.

Gatrs has the RUF BTR, and can drive his precious Porsche ;)

I'll take the XKR and show Mitch that it can perform. :P
When in the hands of the right driver that is. ;)

Just wanted to say I'm up for a serious league this winter... Preferably, Id like to run LMP but will take what I can get...

Oh and as far as specs go I would make the courage non-hybrid run at 1000kgs and 600 hp as lmpc (if needed then lmp1(if needed at 700 and 950kgs cause effectively lmpc they are powerful but have spec aero and there is no way to enforce this in-game... also GTE could be "gt" cars with the 50-70 aero designation and gtc those with 35-60(65) aero @ 1300kgs ... just my .02$

And we'll only do La Sarthe 2005 to make sure there's less chance of cutting too right?

Leave GT as is, GTC can be the Ruf RGT @ stock specs.

Why not modern La Sarthe?

Was just being sarcastic after Posi's comments during the GTPFIA race at La Sarthe 2009.

We'd be better off doing La Sarthe 2009, if you cut corners you're just a dirty cheat...

I was sensing sarcasm in that post, lol

And Rocko you don't get it! :P

I've noticed with some cars I've tested (F458, Z06, MP4-12C) that 500hp/1300kg is a fairly reasonable base point as far as spec goes to keep the cars even. More testing will need to be done but it seems perfectly workable at that spec.

Let's get on-topic
So the races are on Friday still?
(^. Lame excuse to get on topic :dopey:)

I know, it was a lame on-topic attempt.
What should be our team names?
(^another lame on-topic attempt )

No I think the races are on Wednesday. (Sarcasm)

Back on topic, I got a 1:24 on Laguna Seca with the Ford GT at 447 HP and 1300 kg without much suspension tuning etc. In the M3 I got a 1:24 with some tuning at Laguna Seca

590/13(whatever the weight is)?

Seems like it'll have the same amount of HP as the real GTE M3, just more weight! :dopey:

I've been wondering, gatrs why haven't you done a Porsche World Series yet?...

You're bloody hilarious to stir up :sly:

You didn't read through this thread did you? Otherwise you'd know I've been allowed to run the F1, just unclassified.

Plus, I'm keen on running the full season, no ifs or buts. None of this "depending on the time" stuff, I'm definitely in.

Honestly gatrs I don't think anyone is really going to want to race with either the M3 or XKR simply because even at 1300kg minimum they're still alot heavier than everything else. I'd say ditch the XKR and run with the 135i to allow the weight limit to be kept at 1250kg, just my opinion.

Sorry I live with my kid, not my parents. So I get my own time but kids come first. Don't go on about not reading the thread either, it's pointless. Before this thread was open you had your doubts. I never did. Just as long as the race START TIME was the same. Selective reading? I didn't come here to argue anyway, but I didn't appreciate you saying my vote shouldn't count. If were running GT1 what'll the specs be? The 458 is fast, really fast. Another car to consider is the Lotus Evora, it is in GTE afterall. I'd say 490hp @1280kg.

The general issue with the Evora was its lack of bhp, but with all the other cars getting fatter it could easily be competitive on tight tracks if it were to keep the signature lotus lightness.

GT1 would feature the ZR1 RM, the M3 GTR, and one of the Ford GT Race Cars. Possibly the XJ220 and Panoz, but most likely not.

What do you guys think of the Ford GT?
