ALMS Season V

I originally signed up for the Audi, but 4 people were trying to use it yesterday. So I ran the Bentley. I'll stay with the Bentley. I suggest the less experienced drivers take the Audi and Peugeot. Others like me, Calum, Jake, BK etc will be fine in harder to drive cars.

I really liked the toyota but I want to see how it dose against the 908. Toyota didnt seem hard to drive at all imo.

Why isn't there a central place to figure out when all these enduros are taking place...

I have links to ALMS, ELMS, FIA WEC, and still this doesn't cover it. :grumpy:

@ tt13 if you have an Android device there's a app called motorsports calendar free, they have every racing series in the world. Dates only! No times. Plain and simple app. Easy app to run, it keeps up with the today's date so its tells you what's coming up next.

EDIT: nm, Jake abandoned the Bentley so you're good.

Do you guys want one more preseason race or just to start the season?

yeah Id like one more, also im sorry tt13 I just couldnt do gt class for a 3rd season I neded a change.

No worries. I'm just messing around. I need another preseason also. And I think I might switch to the Viper or Vette, for a change myself.

Also, if I missed anyone on updating the OP, let me know.

What track are u running this Friday? I decided that, as a reserve I won't be using the Bentley or the Toyota. Rather use the Audi R8.

I wouldnt worry about being a reserve toomuch I was a reserve last season and I still got in every points race.

I'm still here guys. Work has just been crazy for me. If someone else would like to use the Bentley they can. I think my role at best should be a reserve driver. I dont want to take up a car and not be there every friday.

I think SSR5 would be fun as a night race and a city track. Do people have serious objections to that track? (It's the full technical city course, 7 is the highway)

This would be really interesting, but should u do a track that is in the series? Unless SSR5 is, then lets do it. Could we have a decision by Wensday or Thurday so I could practice atleast 24hrs befor the race. :)

SSR5 is the worse track ever. I'd rather watch paint dry than race there.

👍

Bland, boring, and wide. It's more monotonous than Cape Ring, which is a good track track, but the aesthetics are so dull and un-interesting.

Disagree completely. It's been a mainstay of all Gran Turismo games, and as opposed to the crappy highway track it's actually a street circuit with elevation changes, a hairpin, kinks, sweeping corners and straightaways, on top of being a tight street circuit and a night race.

It's actually one of my favorites from the entire series because to me it has pretty much everything I could want out of a street circuit. I don't think it's any worse than a track like Madrid, which we've raced in the past.

Just figured we don't have enough night races, but if you guys seriously hate it that much...

Are you guys sure you aren't thinking of the clubman version of the track, which is actually quite awful?

I guess we're probably going to end up back at Madrid AGAIN...I mean, we've done a speed-heavy track and Seca, which I don't really know how to classify. Any other suggestions?

Don't listen to them, they just suck there so that's why they don't want to race it :sly:. SSR5 is wide? lol the only wide part is the straight away, which is supposed to be wide. It's technical and fast. has flowing corners, hairpins, chicanes (1 flat out) etc. It's a perfect track to test the cars against eachother.

That's what I'm saying, plus the elevation changes are good for testing weight distribution and whatnot. Oh well, to each their own.

None of us enjoy Nurburg GP/F quite the way gatrs does, so... :sly:
