ALMS Season V

That's what I'm saying, plus the elevation changes are good for testing weight distribution and whatnot. Oh well, to each their own.

None of us enjoy Nurburg GP/F quite the way gatrs does, so... :sly:

I agree with both of u. Nice technical track. Lets race at SSR5. Can u make it official Tower Turn 13?

I like ssr5 but last time I raced there alot of ppl said the track was really glitchy and parts of the track were disappearing making it difficult or impossible to finishthe race. Didnt happen to me but its always a possibility when you have a race there.

Don't listen to them, they just suck there so that's why they don't want to race it :sly:. SSR5 is wide? lol the only wide part is the straight away, which is supposed to be wide. It's technical and fast. has flowing corners, hairpins, chicanes (1 flat out) etc. It's a perfect track to test the cars against eachother.

Meh, your opinion. Although I guess my memories are tainted by Clubman, I just don't enjoy it like you guys.

GP/F is my favorite track, alongside Laguna Seca.

SSR5 were talking about isn't clubman. Last I raced there it wasn't glitchy either. I just had a quick race there a few days ago online. We can't appease to everyone, so it doesn't matter if it's not everyone's favorite track. Not everyone likes Laguna Seca. Not everyone likes Nurburgring.

Re:Seca

AGREED.

Re:what Seth said...

It's also just a preseason race for testing, and it has all kinds of corners to keep us busy the whole time. But how about we say we'll do a street circuit and leave it up to a vote.

I enjoy Seca and GP/F over SSR5 any day. Nothing wrong with running SSR5 though

We ALWAYS run GP/F during the season, the same with Laguna Seca (we already did that track BTW) so naturally it's time for a street course seeing as we did two world tracks back to back.

Yeah tt13if your the guy running the show this season just pick a track so we can get set up, since its you who have the say in what track we do.

Well then if you guys are leaving it up to me lets do SSR5 for practicing/tuning purposes. If everyone hates it then no worries, it isn't included in the season points races.

Oh, and NOT the clubman version.

I'm back on guys. If you look to the panel on the left side, you'll see why I was gone for the past week and a half.

That's a long ways to move.

I had an idea about helping out the series, since im most likely not going to be racing this season. I notice theres always confusion about when qualifying starts/ends and its usually seth fielding everyones questions which kind of distracts him from running laps himself. If its cool with everyone i could monitor qualifying and be sure to keep everyone in the right running order upon qualifying end. That way everyone can just drive and not worry about answering questions or filling the chat box with unnecessary text. Then i could do the pace lap and send you guys on your way.

Always putting others first. Unless it comes to racing. :scared:

I haven't tried to get online yet with GT5 with my new ISP. I'll try it when I get a chance.

Brag post.

Just ordered my new 73" tv. :) I dont think I want to get back onto GT5 until I get it though. Wont be here till Thursday or Friday next week. :(

I've been playing on my 32" flat panel after the 47" had to be retired. 👎 The experience is def. different on a smaller tv...not a good one either.

Quick question though. Storm could probably answer it. He seems to be the tech guy around here. Its a 3D ready tv. So does that mean I have to buy something that can convert to 3D or can I just run 3D off of the PS3? Like games and bluray for example. I dont care about my cable being in 3D.

Firstly: The 3D requires glasses, and an HDMI cable and there are settings on the PS3 XMB dashboard, which must be selected to allow 3D gaming, THEN you have the game specific 3D settings, which you can find on the GT5 options menu, or the Black Ops menu, (for example, of course.)

Secondly: The 3D TV I used before was a BIG TV (60"?) but my parents took it back upstairs. I now play using a 27" or 37", I believe, and it's still not THAT bad. You should still come to this Friday, and have fun with your friends. :)

Heck I use a 27" standard definition TV. I still get plenty of enjoyment out of it.

I also don't care who hosts as long as everyone can stay connected, and that the host won't delay the race/qualifying for an hour+ more after the event has been scheduled to start. I'm fine with late starts, but I can't finish the race if we start about an hour after scheduled time.

Haven't you heard? Seth likes to run a pole/fastest lap time, THEN start the race.

I won't accuse him of doing it, intentionally, but, it happened, last season, and it made me laugh.

I mean, I like his style, but, it wouldn't normally work like that.

I vote Kevin for host, in that case, if his connection's stable, though my vote might not mean anything.

Finally, cnd, that's my TV size/definition too. :dopey:

Good opportunity to get rFactor up and running.

I believe that you do need a special set of glasses. I really do not know about the 3D technology that Sony implements. I will do some research and get back to you later.
