My parents bought a Sony Alpha A6000, because it was on sale and there's 18 month financing with no interest.

Here's the first photo. I love the WiFi feature. It makes it so easy to move pictures.

From what I read and watched on DRTV, it seems to be an okay camera.

What are legacy lenses?
In essence, lenses from other systems (Nikon, Canon, M42 mount, Leica etc) that can be fitted to E-mount Sony bodies with a $10 adapter.

They lose the ability to auto anything other than metering (no shutter, aperture priority or auto focus) but it opens up a world of lens options.

Also I found these two that aren't automotive focused. They were shot with my old EOS M with a 50mm.

As mentioned, legacy lenses are basically old school lenses. They are almost all I use on my Sony a7, with a couple of Canon EF lenses as well. The only downside to legacy lenses, besides the extreme range in quality (prices generally match quality online) is, at least I feel, kind of push photographers to upgrade to a full frame body. That and they are often larger and slower than their modern, mirrorless APS-C counterparts.

Also, you can get an EF to Sony E mount adapter (similar to the EF to EF-M adapter) for about $100 off Amazon. Auto-focus, at least on the a7, doesn't really work, but I also haven't looked into seeing how EF lenses perform on the a6000. Sadly, you can't use EF-M glass on the Sony E Mount because the flange distances are the same (18mm if I recall correctly) but it still opens up lens options a bit more.

If you want auto-focus, I've heard the Sigma E Mount lenses are fairly good, more so given their price. If all manual lenses are alright but you want modern, mirrorless design, Rokinon/Samyang makes some excellent options as well. I personally use the Rokinon 12mm F/2 extensively on my EOS M, and I've heard it performs fantastically on the a6000.

Regardless, you now have access to a crazy range of lenses, ranging from cheap garage sale finds to exotic (and expensive) range finder lenses.

Been trying to branch away from car photography lately.

Found this crazy lady in the park. She was really high, so I took her picture.

But obviously cars are still the main obsession.

Although I'm trying to tell stories with them, rather than just pictures at a car show.

Really like that first one. Would be excellent IMO if the power lines on the top right were gone, and that tree with no leaves on the left wasn't there at all either.

Porsche (928?) looks good too, but might have been better from the other side..

I agree. There was a big white truck on the other side of it so I had to get creative with my angle and cropping so I ended up trying to downplay the garbage on the right as much as I could.

As for the power lines... yeah I should probably take those out before I submit it to the professor.

From a weird perspective, I actually like some of that trash. It looks like there's an engine hoist, and parts in the cart, so it gives the look of a rebuild or something has been done to it, and just got washed. If the lighting was a bit better, the current way would look great, but the way the lighting is right now, the other side probably favors it.
