Harry Reid, longtime Democratic senator and former majority leader, dead at 82.

Harry Reid was an old-fashioned politician who could work very effectively across party lines to get things done. His like may not come this way again. To cap his illustrious career, he worked with Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii) and Ted Stevens (R-Alaska) to pass legislation which opened up classified government UFO files to the public and continues to do so. Now his watch is ended, but his accomplishments live on.

RE shooting in Denver. I'm so sick of these tacti-dorks.

I propose legislation that mandates that all AR15s in the country be powdercoated bright pink with sparkles. If you want a black one you have to pass a yearly mental health exam. There's no way this dude would have carried out his special forces LARP with a pink gun.

Ghislaine Maxwell found guilty of five out of six charges related to the grooming, trafficking, and coercion of underage girls for sex with celebrity clients...

... which is almost an irrelevance at this point. Get the evidence that convicted her out in the public domain and get the celebrity clients named, arrested, and charged.

I thought it was interesting she didn't flip on anybody til' I read elsewhere the prosecution had no interest in her doing so & the evidence she would need to prove whoever she was flipping, was already in government hands.

The GOP is a ****ing cancer. Parson wants to scapegoat someone not under his purview and so he's doubled, tripled and now quadrupled down on the ethical disclosure rather than the failing of the system developers. It's not even likely the failing occurred during his time in office but he was in office when the failing became public knowledge.

I don't think there will be any charges filed against the reporter or anyone else at the paper--I certainly hope there won't as even the FBI has acknowledged that there was no illicit act--but Parson is so far beyond the point of no return to admit the actions he's called for aren't the appropriate ones.

That sounds fabulous. Who is paying for the powdercoats? Question. Can it be purple instead?

So what did the reporter do?

Did he hit F12 in Chrome?

Did he manipulate URLs? That's a little hacky, but I wouldn't think it is a crime. The stuff is supposed to be secured, right?

Plus the reporter didn't take anything.

That's the point. He merely uncovered the incompetence of whoever designed the website and instead of thanking him, the governor decided that he broke the law.

So what's the over/under that she gets Epsteined?

He appears to have been a fully paid up MRA and Alpha Male nonsense loon...

... And he was killed by a female police officer!

Left unmonitored for a period of time sufficient for killing one's self? I'd hope lessons have been learned but then again I'd be okay if this particular history is repeated. Garbage gets thrown away.

The conservative "social distancing" shuffle is entertaining to watch.

It won't be anything significant, but this is a show I'd probably make popcorn for.

I hope she makes a full recovery as that piece of scum shot her in the abdomen before she returned fire.

The only dirt Alex Jones is likely to have is behind his ears. That isn't to say that there isn't dirt on Trump, rather that Jones isn't likely to have it. Recall the recent default judgment against him because he was unable to provide evidence he claimed to have in his defense in a defamation suit, because it's not defamation if statements made are of fact.

Trump is acting moderate (by his own standards) just to placate floater voters about a 2024 run. The fact that the absolute weapons on the far-right can't see that and immediately try and disown him is hilarious but also worryingly tragic.

Yeah, while it's hilarious to see how mad Jones is at Trump. This feels like the time he threatened to completely expose the whole Qanon thing on his show a while back (which he never ended up doing). It's just another cheap grab for attention.

This is the difficulty with having an extremist base. Trump can pander to them but he doesn't have any control, and eventually they'll turn on him for doing the wrong thing.

It's just a matter of time before someone floats the conspiracy theory that he's an antifa plant to infiltrate the alt-right and lead all these "proud patriots" to jail or death in order to cement the takeover of the country by all those latin and black communists.

Well... that certainly took an unexpected turn

Yeah, but where were the Kurds on D-Day? Not helping American patriots storm Normandy, that's for sure.

Sounds like another rent-a-quote grifter with the arguments of a five-year-old.

Poe's law is so strong here. Is this guy for real? Because he has just mapped out the USSA, United Soviet States of America.
Did the Soviets ban Marxism and dismantle unions?
