It really is an experience to have the morning news come on and the person telling you the dastardly ICBM-based threat North Korea is planning to kill everyone on the planet with is someone who played wide receiver for the Vikings.

Also for the Lions.

I find it both sad and slightly disturbing, that ridiculous ramblings from Sarah Palin no longer sound out of place, if somewhat tame, compared to so many in her party.
It's difficult not to see her as having been an inspiration to the rat ****ers.

This seems like a totally normal and important thing, for a former president to be releasing a statement on.

I'm currently working on my thesis in civil engineering and had to check something in ASCE 7, to compare with what's being said in Eurocode 1.

Here is a typical Eurocode front page, in the Swedish edition (from 2009):

Now imagine the chock when I saw the front page of ASCE 7 (from 2002):

I'm guessing this is just an unfortunate combination between early 2000's design trends and a post 9/11 boost in patriotism, but it was pretty funny to see the contrast between these two!

It was a hole-in-one b/c Trump walked up to the hole with a ball in hand, reached down, then back up, exclaiming, "You know, people say I hit hole-in-ones like no one else, one of the best they say, should've gone pro."

In seriousness, it didn't happen because the man cheats at the sport he spends so much time playing.

Fun Fact: Ravnsborg was one of the ****-eating signatories of an amicus brief to support a lawsuit blocking Pennsylvania's election results filed two months after the accident.

Law and order.

Exactly nobody is surprised. The party-line vote (6-2) of the Select Committee on Investigations to not recommend impeachment will be considered by the full South Dakota House of Representatives (with 88.5% Republican control) at a later date.

A lesser man would have been thrown in jail for years for hitting someone like that with their car. This guy will get away with murder because of his position and his state.

It's as if they have to literally kill a guy for their party to impeach th--oh.

Probably very few readers will be interested, but the long federal investigation of Hunter Biden is still percolating under the surface.

I don't think it's necessarily wrong to investigate Hunter Biden if there's evidence that there could've been wrongdoings. Honestly, it wouldn't surprise me if most politicians and their families aren't totally clean since they tend to be wealthy and well connected. That's pretty much a recipe for trying to get away with stuff since the system is built in a way to allow that sort of behavior. The only reason Trump got caught was due to his inability to shut the hell up.

"I mean, being kind of a young guy in Washington, where the average age is probably 60 or 70—you know, I look at all these people, a lot of them that I've always looked up to through my life, always paid attention to politics, guys that, you know. Then all of the sudden you get invited to, like, 'Oh hey, we're going to have kind of a sexual get-together at one of our homes. You should come,'" Cawthorn said.

The remarks reportedly "upset" members of the GOP.

McCarthy also told reporters Wednesday that Cawthorn admitted to exaggerating some of his claims about orgies and cocaine use.

"You can't make statements like that as a member of Congress, it affects everybody else and the country as a whole," McCarthy said, per Politico's Olivia Beavers.

Young dude was on the cusp of blowing the whistle on everybody.
