Thankfully, it would be incredibly difficult to change this too.

And even if he could run, it would be a hard sell for many people to vote for someone who wasn't American. Although, it would be interesting to see how Republicans would do mental gymnastics to accept an immigrant for president when they think immigrants are solely here to steal our jobs.

A potentially illegal immigrant at that... There has been some chatter that Musk didn't meet the terms of his original H-1B student visa due to not having a valid undergraduate degree (somehow he later picked up a BA in nothing at all from Pennysylvania) and not enrolling on the PhD course at Stanford - although he impossibly claims he did and dropped out even though Stanford has no record of it.

It's an unproven claim - US immigration is a nightmarish Gordian Knot of red tape and mystery - but by the same token almost every claim Musk has made about his education and that period of his life has also been disproven. His brother Kimbal seems to think they were both illegals...

Incredibly, Twitter has pushed out a new terms of service today, justifying the banning of all the flight tracker accounts - and Sweeney:
Under this policy, you can’t share the following types of private information, without the permission of the person who it belongs to:
  • home address or physical location information, including street addresses, GPS coordinates or other identifying information related to locations that are considered private;
  • live location information, including information shared on Twitter directly or links to 3rd-party URL(s) of travel routes, actual physical location, or other identifying information that would reveal a person’s location, regardless if this information is publicly available;
Even more incredibly, the new TOS also allows for pictures of Hunter Biden's penis to be posted:
Sharing private media:
Posting images is an important part of our users' experience on Twitter. Where individuals have a reasonable expectation of privacy in an individual piece of media, we believe they should be able to determine whether or not it is shared. Sharing such media could potentially violate users' privacy and may lead to emotional or physical harm. When we are notified by individuals depicted, or their authorized representative, that they did not consent to having media shared, we will remove the media. This policy is not applicable to public figures.
Stable genius.

So does that mean Doxxing of anyone will be taken seriously?

This man was President of the United States.

So in the past three hours:

ElonJet, JxckSweeney, and all of Jack Sweeney's flight tracker bots have been banned.
Twitter has updated its TOS to specifically forbid sharing of flight tracker data (or any other location data that could be construed as the location of a person).
ElonJet has been unbanned.
Twitter Security confirmed to ElonJet that a 24hr delay in posting flight tracker (etc) data is acceptable.
ElonJet has been banned again.

It's almost like Musk is making this up as he goes along...

This man was President of the United States.
The rumour is that he wants to be Speaker of the House of Representatives according to this questionable source (by which I mean Flynn, not Filpkowski).

Better get the 4XL sized toga and laurel wreath crown measured up...

Such free speech. Very corn cob. Wow.

I like how it went from permissible in November to only the tracker account for his jet being suspended, to the backtracking of that permissibility and double standard being highlighted by the public, to other tracker accounts operated by Jack Sweeney being suspended, finally to the new policy.

Musk: "See? No double standard. I'm principled. Free speech."

Of course so much for "all lawful speech," since that sort of reporting is not just lawful in the United States but explicitly protected as press given the public interest nature.

But who am I kidding? "All lawful speech" has been dead long enough that the corpse is no longer bloated. Between that and "comedy is now legal," we may need some sort of Musk Twitter 'In Memoriam.'

Someone really needs to hack Elon's iCloud and get a dump of his nude photos, then plaster them all over Twitter. Not that I want to see a flabby, pasty, blob of a man nude or anything, but the resulting poop storm with regard to the TOS would be fantastic.

Assuming the nude photos are of him...or even of adults.

You're all just Elon haterz. 🤣🤣🤣🤣😭🤣🤣🤣

Found this while looking for the previous tweet. Not sure whether it's been superseded yet by posts already made here.

So... if I can post pictures of Hunter's schlong because he's a public figure, I can start posting nudes of Jennifer Lawrence & other leaked celebrity nudes right?

Would love to hear Elon & his simps argue how they'd be different even though the pictures would have been obtained in the exact same manner (without consent) & posted without their approval.

That depends on how they classify "public figures". The legal definition is... kinda of weird.

It could mean a celebrity, yes, but it could also mean people who are public servants - someone who works in and influences public affairs.

Unlike the Trumplets, Hunter Biden wouldn't meet that latter standard as he does not work in his father's administration. However under "limited/involuntary public figure" classification he would, as someone whose affairs could be considered to be in the public interest (pending whatever they get off this mythical laptop).

The Twappening would therefore likely be limited to nudes of the likes of Jill Biden, Kamala Harris, Nancy Pelosi, Lauren Boebert, and Magic The Gathering.

As we've seen with every rule Musk makes though, it could simply be redefined on the fly to suit him.

I wonder if his lawyers are worried about getting paid?
More the threat of action is empty because it's not a remotely actionable claim. It would be textbook vexatious litigation.

Sweeney posting real-time location data of Musk's jet is not "support[ing] harm" even in the event that a totally made up stalker jumps onto said jet's nose thinking Musk is on board.

I mean he only started doing mass banning of parody accounts with paid for verification after they started dunking on him. Why would this be any different?
