I love it.
Especially since it's common knowledge that all Australians are named Bruce or Sheila!

*cough*stereotype*cough* Although I think they advertise their Kangaroos or Wallabees(sp?) too much. :indiff:

No. I expect us to find out why others back out of the diplomatic talk.

On occasion, diplomacy WILL fail. Why? Because we're talking about people and people are emotional and hold grudges.

I thoroughly despise war, however, at times it is the only option.

Also, if a country makes agreement then backs out of it KNOWING the penalty, how is that NOT diplomatic?

Why are you against it? Just because of the killing or us Americans trying to make Iraq become a democracy?

I assume you're talking to me.

I despise war in general. Because people that had no say in the politics of said countries ALWAYS get hurt, if not killed. I'm not talking about the current conflict in Iraq, I mean war in general. It's just bad.

War is bad, but there are many things that can be worse.

War is a continuation of diplomacy by another method . when nations go into diplomacy without war as an option things like WW2 happen . or you just get annexed or butt raped .

From what I've seen on the AP and the news, it is highly disturbing to see people waving RCP (Revolutionary Communist Party/PCR in Spanish) and hammer and sickle flags burning down publicly owned property. This is far beyond Bush or Clinton or Anti-Americanism. This is us versus them, Democracy against Communism.

I wonder if these same people would be doing this 50 years ago?

Where is the wisdom behind this? It is essentially like saying, "I hate Bush so I will riot and burn down my city!" Huh?

That is just retardedness in motion... it's Chavez, Castro and now Maradona against anything that comes from the US or what Bush says. They were interviewing Maradona the other day and asking him what he was against, and he said "anything that Bush says... anything that murderer says"... absurdity and mindlessness in motion

Keep it in perspective. The crowds are actually pretty small at the demonstrations, even though protesters have come from all over the world.

The pic at the bottom is from a little demonstration in Brasilia. The report said only about 600 students were there. Big deal. I just stuck the photo into the post because its so outrageously dumb...

Oh, so the media wants to make you think the crowds are big? I get it now, just like how the AP reported that little manufactured stunt by Cindy Sheehand in Texas?

AP headline with this picture:

MamaMoonbatAndAl-01.jpg

Sad, isn't it?

Now lets zoom out:

MamaMoonbatAndAl-02.jpg

BONK!

If it bleeds its leads is at work , they had a peacefull demonstration with 10,000 plus and it got almost no coverage , yet acouple hundred idiots start throwing molitovs and acting like the morons they are and you have almost as much press as rioters ! friggin whores .

Yeah, well, we may not be your average Middle Easterner's favorite people, but at least they still love us in South America:

Welcome to Argentina

you do know that the second picture shows another country right?

i guess no.

to me that already does not qualify you to judge the reality that we live and why do those maninfests happen.

camon, don´t tell me you believe in everything the media tells you. please don´t say that you think that FOX´s (the network) opinions are "neutral".

first its not a war between comunism and capitalism

you don´t know what UJS means. or what it stands for. or who is part of all this.

i´ve heard people say "they think buenos aires is in Brazil" i didn´t think some would say that, (specialy the ones questioning politics) and you might had a different idea in mind when posted 2 pics of both brazil and argentina, but the idea is that we are a bunch of lunatics (UJS) that are trying to kill mr bush.

well i´ve read some crazy stuff here in this forum, can´t wait to read all 36 pages. many things are misunderstood. that´s the image your government tries to sell it to you. i just didn´t think many accepted this bul****

i wonder what noam chomsky would say after reading this...

no offense in personal to anyone, just i see clearly now the abusive use of the media manipulating the POV of thousants of north americans and (some) europeans.

i´m not going to start now on the gas duts mr cheaney and halliburton had in mind when they went after "old friend" osama, or the iraqi oil.

just this "we are bringing peace and freedom" talk that its sold to society just doesn´t cut it here. watching news or reading about doesn´t mean you understood the context of the whole thing. i hope democrats get back to the white house. and hurry, things are getting ugly. "terrorism" only exists as a attempt to show the world that "leave us alone, don´t bring your peace here"

of course terrorists are bad. they also want domination and oil, money and stuff. just like the opposite, Mr bush in this case. point is, nobody is a saint in this story. terrorists are fanatics in their belief, so, like market1986 said, war is a different way of diplomacy. so, believing that, terrorism is also a different way of showing diplomacy. dah, i don´t won´t to have that kind of thought...

i just reply to a personal post because of the south america as a bunch of bush haters thing, no offense in personal to zardoz, just don´t bealive everything your TV shows. i´m a jornalist, i know how that works and how we (media) can sell an idea quickly...

just some random thoughts, first time i´ve read this thread, ill come back when i´ve finished the whole 36 pages...

democrats and europeans, give some support looks like there´s only bush lovers in here :scared:

peace guys... (if that´s possible)

Why bother reading what you posted if you cannot spell "journalist" correctly?

he's from Brazil... his first language may not be English...

at least he's making an effort

Lets see you type his native language 👍

If thats how you judge people than your a ****wit.

Posts like that dont help the arrogant "think we are the best" attitude sterotypes that the USA has.

He claims to be a "journalist". Should a journalist know how to use spell check before publishing their works?

He spelt it wrong, OH NOES! :scared:

He spells journalists wrong and you hold it against him. Yet you follow a leader that tries to walk out a locked door, and doesnt know what soveriegn (sp) means.

You would think journalists would hold themselves to a very high standard, which includes using correct spelling on the word "journalist" and many other words in his post.

So, is that what the world's media is paying attention to? A president trying to open a locked door? They could have picked anything else. A middle east country reaching for democracy, Muslims rioting in France, Bird Flu in China, the UN condemns Hizbullah, anything. But, the media picks a president trying to open a locked door.

How sad.

I'm sure you have tried to open a lock door in your life time as well? I bet you felt dumb, didn't you? (I know I did) But, you don't see me calling you stupid.

Nah we get all of that too 👍

Whats sad is how you judge people by the way the spell and just because he may not be able to put his post together as good as you, you immediatly think he is below you and you are better.

Im sure if this was the only stupid thing his done it would be ok. But I'm afraid it isnt.

This isn't about knowing English well or using it as a second language. I would expect a journalist to use a simple tool like spell check, fluent in English or not.

Am I wrong?

Posting rhetoric like he did, you will need all the credibility you can get.
