To both of you a question, like Ron Paul much?
In Dr. Pauls's run for the presidency I held my nose, joined my local precinct and became a Paul delegate to the district caucus. There I gave a public speech and was elected as a Paul delegate to the county caucus. Along the way I became so disenchanted with the local Republican leadership and their shabby ethics that I dropped out and never went back. Other than that, I have voted libertarian ever since Perot's runs. I have contributed money to Perot, Buchanan, Paul and damn few others. Paul is the only one I contributed my time to.

Just my thoughts on the whole refugee and immigrant fiasco.

I'm perfectly fine with shutting down the borders temporarily, it is too hard to tell what your brining in to countries is a terrorist or not.

However, I do not support the complete deportations, if it was just those without Green cards, I'd be fine but if everyone is being deported despite there legal right to live in America is just plain wrong.

Feel like it's more of Trumps inexperience showing

At the five mark 👍

@RESHIRAM5

When I was a kid in the 70's and 80's we waltzed back and forth across the border, I was in an exchange program where I spent many summers living in Mexico city. My oh my how things change, I don't like it one bit but here we are.

Not to condone any lude behavior but it seems to me in this day and age it's not ok to be a man. I've experienced this a few times recently and all I can think of is winding back the clock. PC my ass.

I know that to be true, but you seem to like the idea of us integrating in some sort of world government and disarming ourselves. It is not exactly a secret how I feel about foreign affairs is it?

I'd be all for removing our bases around the globe and keeping our forces here because it is what we should do, where does that leave you?
No I don't when did i ever say that?

Is this another one of your if in doubt you must be socialist things.

Well, those are Trump's words, NOT mine. You seem to think that because I am a republican, you have the right to put whatever words that my party's leaders say that are convenient for you into my mouth. Well, let's get one thing perfectly clear. Trump does not speak for me. Here is what I actually said:

I had emphasized that Mexico's tax is a VAT [emphasized in the above quote]. The US does not have a VAT by law because we have a Federal income tax in addition to whatever taxes that your individual state may levy against you. I am in, fortunately, one of 9 states that do not have a state income tax, but we do have a 6.25% VAT (called Sales Tax here) statewide. I should note that the 6.25% here in Texas does fluctuate between local jurisdictions as they can add on to the VAT. I had said it as more of an indictment on how the sixteenth amendment was actually passed, and if the progressives actually followed the constitution, we would have had a national VAT instead of an income tax.

EDIT: Apparently, the courts have banned deportations for those who are already stuck in America's airports. The Muslim ban is not struck down by a Federal judge as first reported by news sources. Source

Not at all, I'm not trying to indict you for what Trump says, I'm trying to make sure that people reading the posts here understand that Trump is (at best) misrepresenting the trade situation with Mexico when he claims that Mexico is indulging in unfair trade practices because of IVA. Like many of Trump's statements they represent "alternative facts".

Why is Iran on this list, the country is shia and have no real big history of terrorism.
And why aren't Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Afghanistan - three countries with a long and difficult history of terrorism?

Chances are Iran was included because the Republicans regard them as being a terrorist state in all but name. They hated Obama's plan to bring an end to Iran's nuclear programme, and no doubt Trump will try and derail it in the future. The Republicans probably think that they can starve the Iranians out by imposing sanctions on top of one another despite the fact that they tried exactly the same thing with Cuba and it didn't work.

Probably in part because of its association with Hezbollah.
Even still Hezbollah has been in Local areas it's entire existence, Yet Saudi Arabia funds Wahhabi Salafisim around the world including Al Qaeda and isn't on the list.

Heck I Bet there is more people in America connected to the IRA then People connected to Hezbollah.

They should stop Americans travelling so.
Trump just handed ISIS a free kick - the immigration ban will make it that much easier for them to recruit fighters by pointing out that America doesn't want and doesn't trust Muslims.

So if he just endangered the United States, surely he should be stopped from travelling ...

The US is trying to curry Saudi favor by siding against its rival Iran, no matter what they did or didn't do. There are dozens of majority Muslim countries not subject to the travel ban. But they could be in the future.

There is a reason we do not like Iran, well more than one actually because of Israel whom we will defend. But our memories are not as short as maybe they should be.

Fifty-two American diplomats and citizens were held hostage for 444 days from November 4, 1979, to January 20, 1981 after a group of Iranian students belonging to the Muslim Student Followers of the Imam's Line, who supported the Iranian Revolution, took over the U.S. Embassy in Tehran.

That was not cool at all, I remember seeing the people in the streets burning our flag. If a few bad apples sour the barrel so what, we don't need those people here.

And yet Trump bans people from Iran, but not from Saudi - and the Saudi's have a killed far more American citizens than Iranians.

Personally, I don't think he'll see the end of 2017 as President - he's as mad as a bucket of frogs.

Oil of course, I think we have enough here but we are not allowed to use it because of hippy. You cannot have it both ways, should we drill? NO, should we be in the middle east? NO

How come the Trump decision for the immigration considered "Anti Muslim"?

I mean sure enough 6 of the countries were basically a war hellhole and 1 of them (Iran) is basically a decades old US arch enemy (kinda like how US views Russia on Clinton side). As much as I despise Trump, I believe that if Trump were hate muslims enough, why not just ban them all: Saudi Arabia, Turkey, Malaysia, even Pakistan and Bangladesh, etc.

The main critic here is that its too abrupt and too universal. I can recall 6 of the Microsoft employees who just doing expatriate business on one of those countries were basically trapped cant go back to the US. Its terrible, but not "Anti Specific Religion" kind of terrible.

I know the reasons why :)

However, the 'great unwashed' in America are less understanding and think this will somehow remove the risk of terrorist acts. Unfortunately, he's banned the wrong people

Maybe to people who aren't intelligent enough, or who haven't taken the time to understand the situation.

Like his wall idea, it will keep the masses entertained for a while, whilst he and his business cronies continue to make the really important decisions to protect their own business interests.
