I could see The Rock getting the Democratic nomination and winning in 2020.

His first act would be replacing Hail to the Chief with this...

Of course he would also have a turnbuckle next to any podium he uses.

He just has to hope nobody remembers his "poontang pie" phase.

Edit: Stone Cold would make an awesome running mate.

Im sure being an Ex Navy Seal would of helped though.

Arnie being Govenor of California as a republican was more shocking imo.
Get real. That is as republican as that state gets. Makes total sense that Arnold both got voted in and as a republican.

I think Trump will win in 2020. Joe Biden, I think, is the only person that could beat him.

Joe is a really likable guy.

I could see The Rock getting the Democratic nomination and winning in 2020. He'd be the third actor and first steroid user (AFAIK) as President.
He's registered as an Independent. He was once Republican, then showed support for Obama during both elections.

I am admittedly, not fond of the idea of another celebrity making it into the office of power, esp. a former wrestler/man who basically plays a super-human in all his movies (and has the same name & figure as Dwayne Camacho...), but if it had to be a celebrity/non-politician, I guess the Rock is literally the best famous person you could want. The guy already tackles an insane work schedule, always meets with his fans, & doesn't really have many skeletons. The worst part of Johnson being the President is US tax payers picking up the tab to move his gym equipment everywhere. :P

I'd bet that the cost would be more than offset when compared to the smaller security detail and likely far less golf outings.

If you're asking me whether I think we should keep Trump in office... I didn't vote for him in the first place, so I'd not be voting for him to stay. I think the best thing the US could do at this point is abolish the electoral college (which is partly responsible for him).

Somehow I thought you were for the electoral college. Perhaps I confused you wit

My guess is more in the vain of his SNL performance as a hulked up Obama.

In my opinion, if Trump can be president, then the Rock should be able to do a better job. He is very likeable. Outside his WWE persona he is also humble and a familyman. And seems like the person that follows through on what he says and will admit it when he cant fullfill a promise when he can get bipartisan support.

I really think Trump is very vulnerable as a candidate, and Biden would be possibly even moreso.

I do think the right are take these memes and rumors of being a molester way too far sometimes. I have people actually citing these screengrabs of proof that he is a pedophile:banghead:

He has to take up golf in order to be President. I believe it's a requirement:lol:

Not just screengrabs. There's lots and lots of video of Joe being really creepy with mostly teenage and younger girls and some young women with lots of them obviously being uncomfortable with this creepy old man leaning in so close and trying to make physical contact with them.

I don't think Trump stands a chance in 2020. He's already lost Michigan and probably Ohio thanks to the tariffs, and those are two states you need to win if you want an easier road to the White House. As of right now though, I don't see the Democrats having anyone better to run.

Maybe, just maybe, people will finally realize that voting for a third party is a viable option. As much as I hope it's Libertarian, I'll really take anything else. The Democrats and Republicans have gotten to the point where they are worthless in every sense of the word and are ruining the country.

I know, but calling him molester is going a bit far. I know lots of people who are "hands-on" or touchy feely, but never would hurt a fly. I never seen him being inappropiate.

I think the moderates in both parties should try to find common ground and start a third large party.

In today's world he's been inappropriate dozens of times. Nothing illegal but definitely what would be called creepy and getting way too close into someone's personal space. Those things are known as microaggressions these days and he could easily be the poster boy. Back in the day we'd just say, "Oh that's just Joe and that's how he is", but stuff that was quirky but accepted a few years ago is no longer acceptable.

Well I am not molester, but I dont see anything wrong with what he is doing. Perhaps in europe it is more normal.

In a way, the Libertarian party is kind of like this. If you break it down and really simplify it, it ends up being socially liberal and fiscally conservative. It's more or less letting people live their lives without interference from the government as long as they don't violate the rights of others. There's way more to it than that, but I think it'd probably cover the beliefs of a large part of the US. Most people hate being told what to do.

"Oh that's just Joe and that's how he is"

Yup, that's exactly how I am.

Let's keep in mind that this isn't at a cocktail party when he's had a few too many. I think he does this when people are on camera on purpose. He knows they're not going to freak out in front of the world, and that they'll accept a little less personal space for the purpose of making the photo/video look good. "Everyone get close to your neighbor for the photo!"

He's taking advantage of that situation.

I really think Trump is very vulnerable as a candidate,

Vulnerable? I don't know. Trump has shown himself to be capable of violating every norm in political conduct & not losing his base of support ... in fact, weirdly, solidifying it. Rather than destroying the GOP, he has co-opted it. With a strong economy, he's in a good position to win a second term.

I guess americans can be quite prude when it comes to personal space. Do you guys kiss (cheeck) when you welcome female friends.

Some do, but it definitely isn't the norm.
A hug maybe if you know her but usually nothing more than a handshake.

It's not prudish to actually want some control over your body. It's women who suffer this most, men don't have to worry so much about unwanted touching. Calling them prudes for not wanting to be touched is a way of publicly shaming them into some level of submission.

Honestly I would not tolerate this well if I had to deal with it. Calling me a prude for not wanting some dude to come up behind me and grab my boobs or nuzzle my neck is not going to sway me.

I don't think it makes you a prude to be a teenage girl and not want to be groped or kissed by a strange man who is old enough to be your great grandfather.

Edit: Tree'd...sort of ^^

I understand what you are saying, but to my knowledge Joe biden hasnt crossed that line. Or could you provide some sources? In europe I think that it is more normal to have more contact in personal space. Some places like france, men also cheek kiss eachother.
