My cousin Karl says the ONLY reason Trump was elected was because how much Americans hate Hillary - anyone could have done it, even Ben Carson. He also says that Trump has already fulfilled his purpose by appointing two new constitutionalist members to the Supreme Court. If Trump were to leave office today, or next year, then c'est la vie. The problem is not worth worrying about. When will the institutional-minded conservatives and libertarian-leaning republicans (if there are any left supporting him) realize that Trump has used them to advance himself as the primary objective? Trump's entire worldview isn't America First...it's Donald First or even Donald Only.

I don't claim to "get it" either. There's a lot of new stuff happening in the world that goes right by me, and I don't even bother with it. One real effect of Trump is "Trump Derangement Syndrome". It seems to get a certain quality of person so bent out of shape that they become disorganized, disoriented, and lose focus and purpose in a miasma of grief, sorrow and hate. As for the institutionalists, those who support patriarchy, masculinity, family, church, fossil fuels and guns realize they are a species terminally threatened by a rising tide of socialism and stupidity in the population. Are they going to extreme lengths to fight back? I think so. But they will eventually die and the world will roll over to a new paradigm.I'd agree with your cousin (I think?) if he started to lose some support after BK was confirmed. That hasn't really materialized outside of token opposition. I'm convinced a healthy amount of the electorate on the right side of the aisle only support Trump, in bad faith, for the amount of pain he inflicts on the left and on their perceived "enemies", such as the state of California (you know, the state with 40 million Americans). I believe that a large amount of the right has completely given up on the US and only wants to see chaos, cruelty, and destruction. To them, Trump couldn't be more perfect. That explains Trumps base. But there are proud institutionalists (I use to identify along these lines) who must be absolutely writhing beneath the surface while maintaining a facade of public support for Trump. When will it end? His wanton disregard for the constitution must surely alienate consitutionalists, right? What the hell are they waiting for? Pence is perfectly suitable for their purposes. I just don't get it.

Much like "orange man bad".I see it gratuitously applied to essentially anyone who offers opposition to the executive branch. Just like the liberalism one, it allows the user of it to completely escape debate because it frames the opposition as invalid.
How about "orange writing man bad?" Just kidding.Much like "orange man bad".

He was going after them longer, he just got a lot more press out of it due to, well, being on Rogan's podcast. I don't much care for Tim Pool though. The videos I've watch of his didnt seem very bonafide. Especially his videos when he was over in Europe. Felt very trumped up if you will. That looks like Tim Pool who usually stays pretty neutral.
He’s been going after Twitter for a while though ever since Joe Rogan’s Podcast with the 2 executives.
I am struggling to understand the rise in Anti Semitism following the 2016 election, it honestly feels like we've gone straight back to 1950. I mean this is the 21st century, I thought we were better than this. One step forward, 1022 steps back.
Stories like this a dime a dozen these days.

Specifically in Florida? Because... it's Florida. Really weird stuff happens in Florida.
No, it's a national problem, we can't just pick on FL either. It's even be perpetrated by our media, recently NY times had to apologize for an Anti Semitic cartoon, we have members of congress making Anti Semitic statements, we have a rash of people shooting up synagogues. I just don't get it.
True opinion: I think Israel does some bad things.
Anti-semitic or no?
Israel is a country not a religion.
I agree, this is a bad development. I have no special insight as to why. But maybe it has to do with the opening of the floodgates of identity politics and open partizan hatred in the aftermath of the 2016 election. Part of the issue could be resentment of Israel.I am struggling to understand the rise in Anti Semitism following the 2016 election, it honestly feels like we've gone straight back to 1950. You don't think those waters have been thoroughly muddled recently, in order to frame some members of congress as anti-semitic?
edit: I'm not trying to say that anti-semitism isn't a thing...it certainly is. I don't know if its happening more than in the past, because its always been happening. It's more visible lately. There tends to be a sensitivity that results in any sort of criticism of Israel being interpreted as anti-semitism. Israel shouldn't be immune to criticism.
"ANTI-SEMITISM!!! THAT'S ANTI-SEMITISM!!! SHE HATES JEWS!!!""I want to talk about the political influence in this country that says it is OK for people to push for allegiance to a foreign country. I want to ask why is it OK for me to talk about the influence of the NRA (National Rifle Association), of fossil fuel industries or Big Pharma, and not talk about a powerful lobbying group that is influencing policies?"
The Omar situation is really kind of hilarious, but what's funnier still is Republicans pointing to Democrats' own addresses to the congresswoman and saying "even they think it's wrong"...literally the only time they put stock in what Democrats say.
It's also worth noting that anything can be found offensive when one is looking to be offended, and people tend to turn into bloodhounds when it comes to the remarks of those who represent "the enemy".

I have a pretty good idea which half.Isn't she the one that Pelosi told to apologize and then she did apologize but sort of walked it back in the 2nd paragraph? I forget, I'm honestly losing track. Politics have gotten so bad that I only pay half attention these days.
https://www.nas.org/images/documents/NeoSegregation_at_Yale.pdfWhat we found was that neo-segregation is widespread if not pervasive. About 46 percent (80 colleges out of 173 surveyed) segregate student orienta- tion programs; 43 percent (75 colleges out of the total) offer segregated resi- dential arrangements; and 72 percent (125 colleges out of the total) segregate graduation ceremonies. Though these arrangements are ostensibly voluntary, students can’t easily opt out. We tracked numerous indicators of neo-segre- gation, from “Diversity Fly-Ins,” (68 percent of the total) where colleges offer minority students an expense-paid segregated preview of the experience that awaits them should they enroll, to segregated alumni groups.
The heart of all this, no doubt, are the segregated ethnic and racial clubs—segregation having long ago spread to many minority groups besides blacks.
The Real election interfering is happening with Israel via their AIPAC lobbyist group.
They have that many people on their payroll it's more election controlling then interference.
Of course if you call it out your an Anti-Semite.
