This isn't about labels, bigots or whatever, this is about nothing more than the big, fat 'R' next to Trump's name. They loved him when he was a Democrat, they loved him when he was donating to Democrats too and you are kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

I'm not saying he's never worked for anything, because he does have a incredible work ethic, but watching him on the Apprentice (my wife's fault, not mine) I came that same conclusion years ago. That being said, Hollywood elites are not even a credible source to speak about Women's rights anymore, they need to go crawl under a rock and rethink their lives for awhile, ten years sounds about right. People like Ashley Judd who knew about Weinstein (and probably others), and never reported anything because they put their own career first (selfish), really don't have a leg to stand on when speaking about Trump, or Feminism for that matter. People like her, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, and untold amounts of others involved with film, over say, the last 40 years did a large disservice to Women working in Hollywood by not reporting sexual crimes they witnessed.

Let's be clear, this stuff has been going on since the '60s and the Me Too movement easily could've happened 20-30 years ago, which would've saved countless women from being raped, groped and being the victims of Sexual Assault. But for the most part, no one said anything, and the ones that did were run out of Hollywood/ blacklisted, those were the courageous ones. Shame on the rest.

No doubt, you're right. Some among the Hollywood elites are guilty of everything you say, although generalizing them all in that way is not really fair. Similarly, I am sure there are plenty of successful real estate developers/businessman/reality TV stars who are not assholes.

The ones further up the chain are protected, business is done in cash so there is no paper trail. You can usually catch the puppets, but the ones pulling the strings don't get caught very often.

A 12 year old can't legally get married here in the US. In fact, 16 is the legal age of consent here, most of these children are younger than that. Even at 16 you would need the parent/guardian's permission. We are not talking about child brides or even concubines here, we are directly talking about children who were kidnapped, sold, or were otherwise lured into the child prostitution industry.

In regards to the US, generally speaking, I do not think there are cultural barriers that need breaking. Sex with minors is not culturally accepted here, is illegal, and will get you labeled as a sex offender if you get caught.

As far as Child brides as concerned, there are of course the weirdo fringe groups, a few rare exceptions like the Polygamists- FLDS- Warren Jeffs bunch, but those are exactly that, exceptions.

That 200,000 figure is likely to be a conservative estimate, because ten states didn't actually provide any stats on child marriage. Apparently getting a child pregnant is also a legal loophole through which the impregnator is allowed to marry her.

Its definitely weird. If you remember the character, Percy from the movie, The Green Mile, well, he married a 16 yr old. He had to be well into his 40's

This one is a little more circumstantial, I’ll grant, but he chose about the most anti-LGBT Vice President possible, and under his presidency, many Obama era protections for LGBT folks have been reversed.
