The irony though, is claiming "not just emotional bull crap" when UKMikey's picture is showing Conservatives doing just that; #saynotoBillGates because a fake Facebook post made them upset instead of spending 2 minutes to Google the facts.

I hate to bring Godwins law into the conversation, but I have to wonder how many Germans were like Chrunch. "If the Jews were actual good people, our government wouldn't be arresting them."

Also, let's put the shoe on the other foot Chrunch. If this were happening and Biden or Sanders were president, would you be sitting on your laurels saying "well the government wouldn't be doing it if it weren't right" or would you be damning the president and his secret police force?

Has anyone actually sat back and thought that Trump might just simply be following what his advisors said?
And I doubt y'all will believe me but I've actually been picked up in an unmarked car with plain clothes detectives.
They simply asked if I was so and so, which I was and before I could say yes or no I was in the car and whisked away to the precinct before I could remember what I had done also with no explanation of where we're going or why till we got there.

I mean seriously I'm laughing reading the comments here. Y'all don't know if they have outstanding warrants or what they were arrested for. And y'all obviously haven't been in "serious" trouble before(which is a good thing for y'all). But there is NO proof it was unconstitutional. Y'all don't know why they were actually arrested.
And the whole it's unconstitutional crap doesn't fly in court. If they have a warrant they can pick you up however they please.
I've only been locked up 14 times, served almost 2 1/2 years combined and spent countless months in court. But hey, what do I know?
PS I wasn't running around blaming Bush or Obama for me getting locked up or how I got picked up. I did what I did, they know what they did, WE don't know anything about what they did.

It just tickles me how everyone thinks they know everything. If y'all know one person who was "illegally" detained in said "raids", what they were arrested for, if they had a warrant and if they were read their rights. I'll eat my words. Other than that I'm just gonna sit back and laugh.

I know someone is gonna say, Trump ordered it. Maybe he did. Maybe the Governors and Mayors should step up their job. Trump wouldn't have to deploy the National Guard. Seriously how long should we let these "peaceful protesters" destroy our cities? Riddle me that.
Those people could of had warrants for previous destruction in previous riots or other things(the best way to get caught when you are wanted is to go around and do more stupid stuff;) . Y'all don't know, just like I don't but I know if all measures were taken in said arrests. Nothing about the arrest was illegal.

I'm a fast reader. You're essentially saying "if they're doing it they must have a just reason so it must be okay". It doesn't work like that. Question authority. What they are doing is not right by any standard.

Because that's not how Trump works, his "advisors" are meant to be Yes Men that just nod and say how brilliant his latest idea is. Once they stop being that they leave his administration and get their customary book deal.

According to this article, they took a person in and released him after 90 minutes. It doesn't seem like there was any cause.

There's your answer right there. Even the article doesn't know exactly what people were being arrested for. It doesn't go into any details really except they felt scared. Maybe you should not be running around in a protest hotspot a 2am. JS...

How? I got arrested for violating someone's property rights. Maybe if I turned myself in or better yet didn't do what I did, I would have never had that problem.
I've been detained and released before too.
It sucks while you sit there waiting but what if they would have gone by y'alls idea?
I could've said hey, what are you arresting me for, I'm not him. They let me go, guess what? You have a criminal back on the street. I've heard plenty of stories of how well that went down.
It might sound hypocritical coming from a felon but I think the book should be thrown at criminals and sometimes you have to stoop to the criminals level to catch them.

Nope, nope and more nope. The criminal justice system is set up specifically to avoid that, hence why we require guilt to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

What's funny is they don't even start airing the really weird stuff until midnight EST, the first 3 hours are usually just repeat American Dad, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy or Rick & Morty episodes.

C'mon, y'all. Prove that black clad strangers picking up people off the street isn't constitutional. Prove they didn't have a secret justificattion which is known only to themselves and Trump. You can't do it can ya?

... Aside from the fact that it's impossible to prove a negative, noone knows what goes on inside closed vans and cars with no ID. This is how criminals operate, not licensed law enforcement operatives.

Yeah that's how it always was when I used to watch too, So anybody who did stay up a little late wouldn't just randomly run into the weird and twisted stuff Adult Swim has generally been noted for. This one is obviously just a case of "if you look around hard enough for things to get outraged about, you will rarely come up empty." Either that or AS is trying to use the 2am timeslot brainwash our children and suck them into some evil cult of animated gore, perversion and fart jokes.

IMHO, overstressed Portland police are welcoming federal help in protecting the downtown justice center, federal bldg and federal courthouse from further arson and damage. My understanding is that well over $20 million in broken windows and fire damage alone has been sustained. I think the federal men might be uniformed DHS and camo-uniformed MP's from another unnamed agency. I'm pretty sure they know who they want to pick up, and are making very selective arrests of the best trained, best equipped terrorists the anarchists are deploying. They'll be printed, DNA'd, and RFIT'd for future reference. After a bit of gratuitous minor psychological torture, they are set loose, prize trout to catch again another day.

I guess she's limited her exposé to her conspiracy-guzzling Qanon buddies now. Personally, I find their proliferation on social media far scarier than any late night CG cartoon featuring clearly fictitious events.

Nothing says law enforcement like some nonuniformed mercenary appearing in an unmarked vehicle and dragging someone off the streets. Of course it's okay because they're only going after the guilty ones, right? No need for habeas corpus or due process.
