While I don't support vandalism, I can help but think this...

I'm glad some people are also starting to realize that it's not just Republicans or Democrats that hate them, it's politicians in general.

Red spray paint on red brick. Smooth.
To be fair the vandal laid down a primer of white spray paint first although it doesn't show up so well.

Better a little superficial property damage than breaking into their homes, kidnapping and killing them like the Michigan militia* planned to do with Governor Whitmer. The pig head is kind of scary though.

*(I just found out they were called the Wolverine Watchmen. That's two of my favourite comics I won't be able to read again without thinking of these murderous idiots.)

I noticed that. It seems to run out under the smaller "MITCH" in the bottom right, which may be why they switched to the different, less visible (on that particular surface) color.

I don't condone it in either instance, though it's humorous that the application to Pelosi's residence includes what I presume is intended to be the symbol for anarchy, which would suggest anarchists may not align themselves with Pelosi, though that's a common topic of the right's fear mongering. It's also humorous that those purporting to be anarchists would seek assistance from government. There's a part of me that wonders if this particular vandalism was perpetrated by right-wing actors seeking to pin it on anarchists.

Edit: It seems it's not even House Speaker Nancy's residence, rather it's the residence of House Speaker Nancy's daughter, Nancy, who presumably has absolutely nothing to do with assistance being withheld.

As an aside, is it weird that she named her daughter Nancy? It shouldn't be weird when it's a popular convention for fathers to pass their name on to their first son (nevermind George Foreman), but it seems weird. I think a Today Show host, or former host, passed her name on to her daughter and that seemed weird to me upon discovery.

Nancy Jr. (Jr. doesn't work very well for women.)

Yeah, no...

I don't really get the handing down of names. I mean, I do--there's surely a fair bit of ego to it--but it's not something I'd have considered even if my name was one I'd subject a poor kid to.

Fun fact, they're called the Wolverine Watchmen because the state animal for Michigan is a wolverine...which is funny since it's likely wolverines never actually lived in Michigan. If they did, it was probably over 250 years ago, and were almost certainly all killed for their fur or just pushed out of their environment.

There have been some sightings over the years and one body discovered, but even that's debated.

Now the only Wolverines that mean anything get to disappoint me 12 Saturdays in the fall as they play horrible football.

There it is, indeed.

I like the episode he wrote where Bart's escaped elephant stampedes through the RNC past signs saying "We want what's worst for everyone!" and "We're just plain evil!" and goes on to crash the DNC whose signs read "We hate life and ourselves!" and "We can't govern!".

"The International Criminal Court is the last line of accountability for those who commit genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes. To make it a crime to assist the court is not only unconstitutional, it puts the United States in league with those who commit the most serious of crimes under international law. We hope and trust that the incoming Biden administration will prioritize the repeal of this wrong-headed policy."

They're threatening sanctions against anyone who dares prosecute US troops for war crimes. When they talked about the election of populists leading to the danger of mob rule I never realised they meant "rule like the mob".

Meanwhile Laura Loomer is back and is tackling America's insidious cancel culture head on, provided SCOTUS doesn't throw her appeal out:

I was just looking at that and scrolling through forum pages for the free speech thread that I could have sworn exists.

I was that close to posting this on the free speech thread. But face it, this'd be widely off-topic.

I mean...she's seeking relief for supposed infringement on her rights that didn't occur and in a manner that would infringe on the rights of a private entity.

Well you know that posting on Twitter is a right, not a privilege.

Claimed to...
So you're calling me a liar? Nice, fits in perfectly when you called me a felon an unnecessary amount of times.
You can go to hell as far as I'm concerned, you whiney little...

...Some of us can be civilized so I'll let you fill in the blank.

Edited for a drunk misspelling...

Ah, peace at last...

...

...but not in Washington D.C., where Republicans clash with the police.
