Even if Trump was pardoned by Biden, Trump would probably still go after him in regards to Hunter Biden.A friend of mine told me he'd like Biden to pardon Trump if Trump should be convicted (and presuming Biden is in office at that time). Saying things like that we need to "bury the hatchet". I don't think he understands what's going on.
Commute sentence maybe, but Pardon? No way...this is not a pardonable offense. I could be wrong, but doesn't a pardon expunge the receiver's criminal record as it relates to that conviction? So the guy that abused the powers of his office and was punished for that abuse could potentially acquire that office again? Yeah, that's not a good idea.A friend of mine told me he'd like Biden to pardon Trump if Trump should be convicted (and presuming Biden is in office at that time). Of course he will. Just as he'll go after Biden, Hillary, Barr, McConnell, and everybody else.Even if Trump was pardoned by Biden, Trump would probably still go after him in regards to Hunter Biden.
I don't care at all if Trump avoids jail time somehow
Agreed. Put quite simply, if I were found guilty of these crimes and I would be sent to jail for them, then so should anyone who is found guilty of the same crimes.I do. We have a disturbing faction of Americans who consider themselves and their cause to be above the law. That in and of itself is not necessarily disturbing. The law is not always correct. But their particular cause being above the law, all law, is deeply concerning. They desperately need to be shown accountability at the very top - that America itself is greater than Trump. The existential question we're wrestling with right this second is whether the American President is above the law. That is the very heart of the identity of the country. If Trump continues to escape consequences, the answer to that question is a resounding yes. And that signal will cause Americans to continue to advocate for a disregard for the structure of the country.
It's nothing less than a belief in the country vs. a belief in power.
Fox News appear to be a little more guarded about supporting the big lie since the Dominion lawsuit if this excerpt from their Bret Baier interview with a frankly deranged sounding tfg is anything to go by:
If you can stomach going to their website, a longer segment from the interview is here:
Trump calls NARA 'radical left group,' says they could've 'stuffed' the boxes during Mar-a-Lago document raid
Trump revealed on "Special Report" why he was reluctant to hand over the boxes of documents stored at his Mar-a-Lago estate in his first TV interview since he was indicted.www.foxnews.com
A legal opinion regarding the interview:
Too hard to learn names. Just cut to the chase and assume everyone is the same person.
"On Monday, a federal judge issued a protective order preventing former President Donald Trump from disclosing or sharing evidence obtained in the classified documents case on social media.
'The Discovery Materials, along with any information derived therefrom, shall not be disclosed to the public or the news media, or disseminated on any news or social media platform, without prior notice to and consent of the United States or approval of the Court,' Magistrate Judge Bruce Reinhart said in the order."
I mean when one guy who is a federal magistrate judge for the Southern District of Florida has one name and another guy who serves as an acting justice on the New York State Supreme Court has an entirely different name, how in the hell is anybody supposed to be able to tell them apart?
A key feature of American conservatism--and Trumpism in particular--is abject stupidity.
You can hear a soft grinding noise and smell melting plastic in this one.
Seriously, how broken do you have to be to support--or to have ever supported--this bitch?
Republican. Primary. Frontrunner.
I'm not sure what's happening here but it looks very entertaining. Adam Schiff is questioning John Durham over the stolen Russian information regarding Hillary's emails that was used to benefit Trump on the campaign trail per Mueller.
For added entertainment check out the sour expressions on the faces of the people behind Durham as he flails about.
lolOh wow, didn't pay attention to the Mueller coverage at all today, mostly because I'm just tired of it. That horse has been beaten to death so long ago, it's now a skeleton.
I'm not sure Schiff ever had credibility in the eyes of the GOP faithful. No representative with a D next to their name does.
In other news, I can't help but think the GOP House vote to censure Schiff is to destroy his credibility in the minds of the party faithful as a tit for tat for what he did to Durham above re Russian collusion. Does anyone who isn't a true blue dyed-in-the-wool MAGA fall for this? Or are Independents taken in by it as well?
The only exception is RJK Jr. But that's because he's devoting his campaign exclusively to right-wingers anyway. Even Manchin is basically enough to be considered "woke" since he didn't oppose literally every piece of legislation under Biden.I'm not sure Schiff ever had credibility in the eyes of the GOP faithful. No representative with a D next to their name does.
That's undoubtedly true but this makes it that much harder to convince them the Russians helped Trump secure a seat in the White House, even after the evisceration of Durham this week.I'm not sure Schiff ever had credibility in the eyes of the GOP faithful. No representative with a D next to their name does.
Someone predicted this as the outcome on Monday. Either way, the chances they would be alive were next to zero. At least their death was instantaneous and not through having no oxygen and drawn out.Not sure where else to put this, but since it's a US-based company, I'll put it here for the moment.
It looks like the private submarine that went missing on a tourist expedition to the wreck of the Titanic may have been found by the US Coast Guard... a debris field appears to have been detected, suggesting that the submarine may well have imploded on its way down.
US navy says it picked up ‘anomaly’ hours after sub began mission – as it happened
Anomaly ‘consistent with an implosion’ was detected near where craft was operating when it lost communicationswww.theguardian.com
Of course, this is horrible news for all involved, and it will also likely do serious damage to future expeditions to the Titanic and to private submarine tourism in general. Sadly, even if the debris field turns out not to be the Titan, it is likely that the people on board would not have survived beyond this point anyway.
