I am curious about how that part about attacking electric vehicles is going to go down with Musk. I've rarely ever seen that be a subject of discussion despite of how much of a fundamental point of contention it is between Musk and Trump/Trump's base.
I don't really know about the ins and outs of Musk's $54b share payments that's been in the courts recently, but maybe its his way of getting his value out of Tesla before that share value starts to plumet?

The bitch embodies cronyism.

The thing about tariffs is that while taxes can be gamed, the former is primed for gaming. We saw that the first time around with Trump's tariffs. In the gaming of tariffs, lobbying entities avoid much of the detriment associated with them while those entities' competition takes the hit.

I don't expect a ban on EVs. I don't think Trump has the appetite for it beyond pandering to the idiot base. I also don't think conservatives in the legislative and judicial branches have the appetite to back such a ban. A ban couldn't really be gamed without being super obvious either. What I expect is lessening or elimination of governmental benefit, and any gaming of tariffs would certainly soften the blow from that.

Smoot-Hawley is really too funny a name for something so awful. Nationalism, protectionism and isolationism during the depression to drive up costs on needed goods for people who already can't afford them. Why are Republicans so wont to hurt people?

Just because someone is on the autism spectrum doesn't mean we should assume anything about them. There are plenty of people on the spectrum who are perfectly capable of having reasonable discussions and there are plenty of people who aren't on the spectrum who can't. We shouldn't assume someone is autistic, nor should we assume they need to be treated with kid gloves.
ASD isn't a free pass and it is patronising to treat people with it like it is. And, as others have mentioned, you don't assume.
Indeed.

I am on the spectrum myself, but not once have I used it as a free pass card on the forum, and I have a history of making controversial/uncalled for posts. The problem with being autistic is that, as Joey said, some people who are on the spectrum have less difficulty than others.

And when it comes to voting, I don't vote, since I wouldn't know who to vote for and have no political awareness whatsoever.

Jesus, just line the homeless up against a wall and shoot them. It'd be more humane than sending them out to freeze to death.
Many places have passed laws that the homeless can't sleep out in public without facing a fine, either. So, you're seeing a glimpse of a desired outcome; no shelters allowed, can't afford the fine when caught sleeping outside b/c the shelters are gone, so off to jail for prison labor.
