Ah, I see, I thought you were listing reasons for something

So, finally we'll get to the real Round 3 at Laguna Seca. With the tyre rules changed to be a Sport Soft only event, who here believes Flaky's gonna have an easy run? *raises hands*

Nah, I'm really looking forward to the challenge. Laguna has this feel that hardly any other tracks have. Among others what Mel said about long straights between corners. This does require a different rythm, but on the other hand it creates more overtaking opportunities. Careful in turns 7, 8 (corkscrew) 9 and 10, these aren't good for overtakings, as is the second right-hander on the lap :)

Nonsense! I make 80% of my passes there. :scared:

Evidence? :sly:

Admitted, you CAN overtake there, but if done improperly there'll be cars all over the place, think DF turn 4 without cutzone when attempting a pass, if someone's on your inside and fairly up beside you, better play safe instead of risking everything 👍

Evidence? :sly:

Who needs Evidence when you've got swag talent!?

No, I refuse to post the videos, because, as normal, my passes are too magical and awesome sauce to be given to the horde. But, if you dare start in front of me in Race 2 ( ) you'll quickly learn how to pass there.   :P

Edit: My real life teammate obviously hates this pass, ever since the Forza 2 days, when we met. Who says that practice makes [almost] perfect? Oshoewa?

If S2 manages to head to saturdays (Is it next year? or in a few months?) I'll happily participate full time once again. But only on saturdays as I do homework on sundays. I have to get up at 6:30am this saturday to prepare for Reshiram's new league which is at 7:30 am with my friend GTracer as teammates. I'm gonna be sleepy :grumpy:.

Morten, let's try to keep *some* semblence of order this week, please? I've got a *lot* to do tomorrow. I don't mean to give you a hard time, but, as long as our series doesn't run more than half-an-hour late, I'll have time to put my kart on my trailer before taking it with to the parts supplier...

So, in short, I'd like to be done racing by 3 PM local time. Seems easy. We start qualifying etc. At 1 PM local time, it gives you 2 good, solid hours. :)

No pressure, tomorrow's a good-net day, so it mostly depends on how long time weight checks and stuff take :)

Also, I'll update the OP in 5 minutes. Please all clear the room 10 minutes before start, this will make it much faster for most of us (no hard feelings but your net is incompatible of many drivers Sparky :sly: )

Edit: already had

Hey guys, how nice of you not to give any points during my absence :) Will probably be there tomorrow :)

Lucky RW68!!!! Wow!

Okay, guys. I'll host. If everyone could back out five minutes before the event, I'll become the host. Then, rejoining will be easy!

Hi rallymorten! :) I've filled yesterday the sign up form. No answer yet and tomorrow is the race. If all good, I'll be there with the red Lutecia black wheels?!

I'm already looking forward to tomorrow. I don't think Flaky will have much to do and by now he's champion after round 9, round 8 if things go well for him tomorrow.

Jammy and GTracer are locked in a battle for second that's at least as exciting as me vs. Racingworld with 3 points difference.

Straffe, Mel and Sparky have a 3-way battle with 3 points difference as well.

I don't know why but this feels a bit like a finale, so much can and will happen :)

Edit: My mistake, Flaky's not champ after round 9.. But it's darn close :scared:

Flaky's reading this, thinking "Oh, no! I've made the championship boring!"

As a matter of fact, I was thinking as to how rally could say I'm even close to mathematically clinching the championship at this early point. We've done 6 rounds out of 30, so it's not even close, lol.

I usually find a way to make it interesting on myself, e.g., missing rounds or like it's been the past two weeks and most likely for all remaining weeks, not sleeping the night before due to work.

This week, I think I'm adding another layer of interest (at least for me) by not having time to run any practice laps. Hopefully I can get on for an hour today to dial in the car and learn the track. Otherwise it'll be the half hour before the race that'll I'll have to practice :grumpy:

In the same position here, I finish work 90 minutes before the race. No decent practise yet, so it will be intresting ;)

And Flaky, I can give you another 'layer' if you want....I have a set of real dark sunglasses (roy orbinson stylish)

But... Laguna Seca is so easy!!

That's why I dislike it.

But, yeah, yeah, practice is only important on difficult tracks.

Did 7 laps last night, best time 1:31.960. Car feels good at this track, need to adjust my setup a bit.

YaShoe and I are faster; much faster.

Then tell us, what times are Team Crazy Canucks reaching? :sly: when I did the lap-decider I think I did about 1:29 or so.. Estimated Flaky time: 1:25

To me Laguna is not easy :(
And to me car is tricky :(
We're using Sport Soft?

Sport soft all the way, yes :)

I won't say Laguna Seca's difficult, but it certainly is yet another style of track. Monza was high speed, in Madrid good cornering was the order of the day. I recon here it's all about finding a good compromise. I for sure know what I'll be doing :)

Unless I'm missing something, You guys must be blistering at this track. Shoe was saying 29s, and I can only see that on a perfect lap. My best I ran today in a quicky 15min session was a 30.4 with a little over a quarter of a second to improve. Anything under a 30 seems like a stretch. Again, maybe I suck here.

This means we may have a chance of pushing Flaky all out of the podium once today :D

Realistically, my goal is to pull a Deep Forest in quali (but this time I beat Mel) and keep it there :sly:
