Oh, you mean the people who sent us emails last week saying they were shipping the products... yeah, I can see how they're more trustworthy.

Chill out, If you are trying to ship 5 months of backordered wheels in a timely fashion and 9 times out of 10, customs clears your container in hours rather than a week, you might be inclined to send out an email prematurely to try and speed up the process.
 
I'm not hear to argue or stir up anything. I am just trying to help. If you would like her number to call because you do not believe me, PM me. If you give her your name, she can look up EXACTLY where you sit.
I totally believe you.. just not her. I've only been given reasons not to, you see?

I ordered a wheel stand on 5/12, they shipped it 5/13. If the wheels passed through customs on Monday then what is continuing to take so long? You'd think a late shipment would be given high priority. Things just don't add up.

I am chill, but I have a right to be frustrated at the lackadaisical approach to getting a $500 product to me that I paid for months ago. This is a frequent problem for Fanatec and they deserve the flack.

The premature shipping notice added insult to injury, a company already in the hot-seat for missing ship-dates should be extra careful, but they're not, so I am every bit entitled [as a paying customer] to voice my grievances. If there was a competing Xbox wheel I'd have never gotten involved in this mess.

Oh yea Bonefork, I was more than in your shoes. I got lucky, I ordered on Jan 21. Received and email the NEXT day stating, you will receive your wheel mid-feb. Then around Feb11, I get an email at 2amEST since it is 8am German Time stating "unfortunately, due to undetermined circumstances, we will not be able to ship your wheel out until may, sorry"

To say the least, I short circuited. Then I reminded them, they took my money and it is MY property. Also, intellectual property rights in the US guarantees us that we receive our product within 30 days of purchase/monetary exhange. If not, you can legally go after them, even if on back order or not. Within 10 minutes of that, I get an email from Sabine saying your order will ship now!

Coming in October, Thomas is fixing the site so it does not take our money until the order is processing. They had a poor business model in place to begin with. Also, his investors want to make him charge MORE for the wheels since they are in such demand, but Thomas is doing everything he can for us.

I was very angry at first, but Thomas stepped up for me, and I will do the same in return.
 
I can only hope we can all share your enthusiasm at some point. I'd like to think it's possible.

It was like a dream when they sent me my shipping notification last wednsday. I was so excited. Then I woke up on Friday from that dream when I got the shipping delay email. So yes, one day it will happen, it just seems like it won't
 
I can't believe these damn things have not shipped yet. With the announcement at at E3 of their wheel...I think the new wheel will ship when Forza 5 is out. :lol:

ya, its getting rediculous. I spoke with claudia today(6-8-11). She said she would ship my order today(6-8-11). ............Did not get a tracking number today. Imagine that. lol.

Fanatec is horrible right now.
 
I JUST received this email from claudia in germany for some reason regarding a few orders that I inquired about through the warehouse claudia in CA. Now, this was for an order that was #17809. If you are before that, you can possibly expect this week. After, next week. BUT, I was told ALL orders should ship this week from the warehouse. This contradicts that.

I am sorry for releasing ill-information. I only reported what I was told. Seems like the roller-coaster continues for the GT2. Again, I already have mine, this was in regards to other orders.

Order #15572 here, including shipping time, it would have to ship today to get here by next week, and that's highly unlikely given the work principles on display by Fanatec and their warehouse.

Also, it's not a roller-coaster, that would imply there has been an 'up' along the way, but in fact there has been nothing enjoyable or positive to come from my experience with Fanatec so far, 4+ months into our relationship.
 
and bone, i am sorry for the info. That was word from someone related to the warehouse. She is normally spot on. Every time I have called her, she has been great and factual. My order was #15072 on Jan 21st.

With my wheel, I made this promise, you either ship it to me now, or I am getting on a plane to Munich tomorrow...... Within 10 minutes, wheel was shipped. BUT, I was NOT bluffing. Seems like the more forceful you are, the more they do for you. The more you sit back, the more they will roll you over.......
 
Well it seems that's what they like to do. Tell you one thing, then something else happens.

I felt good yesterday after talking with Claudia at the CA warehouse. But seems that route failed me too. Fanatec just does not do this right. They have no customer service as far as I'm concerned.

They seem to just not care. But why would they, they have your money. No rush on them.
 
Well, the warehouse is NOT Fanatec, it is just their distributor. So Claudia in CA is really just a "middle-man" so to say. She just does what Fanatec gives her. BUT, she did say this week, and claudia in Germany now says next week. I feel your pain brothers.......
 
The more you sit back, the more they will roll you over.
Some things in life are worth fighting for, some aren't. There's no other options for an Xbox wheel, so it is what it is, but I'll be making a careful consideration for the next generation of consoles so I can find a new company to provide my racing peripherals.

I can understand delays and mistakes, but not neglect and non-commitment. I don't know how things work in Germany, but where I'm from this level of dysfunction doesn't fly.
 
Just got an email from Claudia F. In Germany. She stated orders will ship next week. This is just crazy. Thomas, what's going on?

I could not agree anymore, hence why I chose to go the Joe Pesci route. By doing so, I got what I paid for in a timely manner as such.

Again, no matter how far on back-order, once money is exchanged, you have every right to demand your product if it is not delivered within 30 days. It's called intellectual property rights. US that is. Hence why Thomas is changing all of this come October.
 
I hope they have something in store for you guys. They owe you something for this. It is truly unacceptable yes. BUT, Thomas did step up to the plate for me when I was at my worst with them, so I do not want to bash too much. Since he stepped up for me, I'll do the same in return. But again, I do feel as if this has gone too far on top of it all. I would be more than at my wits end by now.
 
They just need to quit the run around and get it done. Tell the truth from the get go.

Fanatec and endor, this is not the way to do business.
 
Still, it is kind of funny any of you are surprised by this. I decided after cancelling my order twice earlier in the year, that I would finally just order it and wait. You have to expect that with this company or you will lose your mind. They have so many ridiculous and unconventional business practices that it is hard to count. I think it would really help the company if they did some research and modeled some successful online retail models.

But as advice to you that have orders in...why cancel now? Don't cancel an order you want just because the company has some customer interface issues, especially when you have already waited so long. Chances are that you will get a great, working wheel very soon. And if you decide to wait for the next wheel? Good luck! See you on here complaining about waiting next summer!!
 
Im definitely not surprised by any of this. I read all the horror stories prior to placing my order, so this pretty much seems to be par for the course.

Dirt 3 with the G27 is keeping me occupied for now. As long as I have the GT2 by the release of FM4, I'll be happy.
