Yeah Mohamu, I think it is right to be concerned about your GT2 arriving and working after all the problems they had with the first batch in Dec-Feb timeframe, I was as well and it was why I held off on ordering.

Thankfully my GT2 that I ordered at the start of June arrived in ~1week, and has been working great for me so far after hours of use each day with G27 pedals (iRacing, GTREvo, FM3, GT5)... I really like it and am glad I took the plunge and I have fingers crossed that it will continue to be a good customer experience.

I think we are all ok with voicing concerns and bad experiences that is useful info, where it gets excessive is where someone replies to each and every post with the negative experience (which is a valid experience) but doesn't need to be restated so many times. Hope that makes sense.

I just read on another forum that someone may have had the same problem I am having. They said their wheel was always trying to auto center. They said that new firmware came out around the 30 of last month,it was version 109 and it fixed their problem. Does anyone know where to get 109? The newest on Fanatecs site is 107.

First off I neither purchased anything from you nor you from I. Anything else coming from you is just harassment. My complaint is with Fanatec and only Fanatec.

That goes both ways. I'm also allowed to voice my concern to you

Thanks guys! 👍

To be honest it is not so urgent for me at the moment to get the wheel as I'm using my G25 with PC sims and GT5. This hall thing is about to have a good wheel till F4 comes out. I think I've got time till then.. :scared:

I've fallen in love with this wheel, and starting to get in the same situation with the Clubsport pedal.

If somebody have any experience about using the GT2 wheel with G25 pedal, it would be great. I'm really interested if it worth the extra money to spend it if I've already got the G25 pedal.

Thanks forwardly

I got the 109 driver from a post on the iRacing forum, installed it and it is working fine for me (seemed to cure a bug with unwanted wheel centering in iRacing, YMMV)

The person got that link from Fanatec support for some issue they were having, I'm guessing Fanatec is in the process of updating their site as well.

GT2 wheel is working great with my G27 pedals (with nixim brake mod), was really easy to hook up using the included adapted and has been flawless in PC/GT5/FM3...

It even works with the simulated ABS lockup vibration you can setup on the GT2 (the wheel vibrates at some set brake threshold value).

The G25 pedals are pretty nice. Big, beefy, and well made. They're a big step up from the standard Fanatec pedals. And the great thing about the Logitech G25 and G27 is they're really popular, so there are tons of mods out there. The Nixim mod seems to be a no brainer for the price. You can also easily take the pedals out of the pedal box and invert them. The only knock against the G25 pedals is the short throw. It's not a big deal for braking, but I don't like the short throw when using the clutch.

The ClubSport pedals are easily worth $200, but if you already have a perfectly good set of pedals, why not save the dough?

I was thinking about the nixim mod, but I've modded it by myself with some pulyuretan foam and a harder spring. I'm not sure what is the best decision: to sell my G25 completly with it's pedals, or to sell just the wheel and the shifter, and upgrade the pedals with this mod or maybe with some pressure sensitive mod for my GT2.
In the future I plan to buy a clubsport H-shifter, so the clutch and gas pedals are also important. As I've read plenty of conversations, it seems the difference between the G25 pedals and the clubsport pedals is in the break pedal. How important the vibration feedback motor in the clubsport? Does it give that much plus?

I just instsalled 109 and it seems to have fixed my wheel in Iracing.l I don't understand though how a PC driver would have screwed up my console games to, but I really don't care. After playing Iracing, GT5 and Forza are dead to me. Can't wait to tryout the other PC sim racers.

Wait a PC driver made your wheel better on consoles? Was it a firmware update?

I haven't tried it again yet with the consoles and I doubt if I do. It still doesn't seem to feel as good as it did before the problem started, but it may just be in my head now. It's got the FF back though and the wheel isn't fighting me anymore. I did reflash the 681 firmware for the 3rd time also right before I tried the 109. When I get a chance I will tryout the consoles again, but that time might be awhile. iracing is going to be pretty hard not to turn on when I get free time to play.

That's good news, but also kind of weird. Perhaps the Fanatec drivers have some sort of bidirectional communication with the wheel and store values in non volatile RAM. Total shot in the dark.

If your complaint is "only" with Fanatec why do your posts of complaint litter this thread ? I've followed this and know resolution through PM was offered more than once and apparently that was unacceptable to you. So what exactly is the purpose of your posts ?

I see. So this thread is only for gushing Fanatec. No problem 👍

But you think it's good to disparage someone who wants to get his order in time, or someone who's a bit afraid of the wheel what he had ordered will not work perfectly. There are too much negative posts what made me a bit nervous about it was a good decision to buy that wheel. But I've got no option, if I want a wheel what works with Xbox and PS3 too.
And yes, I don't think it's normal to use an relative expensive product only for 1 hour to be sure it will not be defected. Of course I hope everything will be OK (I also know this is only a user's manual, and in life there will be no problem if I use it for 2 or 3 hours), but I say this because there are too much negative post about the support and the costumer service.
No problem 👍

I can understand everything :sly:

And I'll post only positive things here

I simply asked a question. You were kind enough to answer, to wit, the Fanatec's compatability with Xbox, PS3 and PC overcame any misgivings you might've had . You are mistaken or oversensitive to infer that I expect a certain slant in anyones posts. I do not. However I do read the posts and on occasion seek enlightenment on the posters thinking.

I think you'll like your new wheel.👍

Fanatec customer support may not be the best but also not the worst. I had problems with stuck CS brake pedal few months ago and they quickly sent replacement load cell. My PWTS downshift paddle shifter recently broke (I have heavy hands) and they quickly sent me RMA which I refused because I prefer to install the replacement PCB myself rather than sending my wheel to them. They quickly complied and sent me the part straight from Germany to US, along with a replacement PCB for the ClubSport pedal suspecting that the recurring sticky brakes is due to defective PCB too. All these with just one month left in my warranty.

I ordered my GT3 RS "V2" on friday and it arrived today. Im very happy with Fanatec so far, but I have a question...

How can I tell if my wheel is a V2? It doesn't say anything about being V2 on the box or wheel :scared:

Maybe it's to deal with people like you in the peanut gallery that think their 2 cents might make them look good?

I've followed this and know resolution through PM was offered more than once

I have sent one PM to Fanatec (Thomas) and in return their home office sent a reply now blaming the very late order on "a Freak of Nature". Anyone else offering to help with my order who doesn't work for Fanatec has no business dealing with me.

A "live help" function would be very useful, only accessible to customers and at a determined period of time of the day. Goodbye to the endless waiting.

How easy it is to say...

I tried out the 1.09 driver. Some ancient racing titles need the autocenter spring enabled in the driver. Before, it would sometimes not work properly. Now that seems to be cured.

Not sure if I missed it or not... but is there a breakdown of what is different between a GT2 and CSR? I was tempted at CSR Elite but to be honest... I really like the GT2 (big Porsche fan) and I'm debating ordering a GT2 now or waiting for the CSR. I know a lot wasn't confirmed yet but does anyone know?
Would be getting CSPs too

If you're a Porsche fan, then CSR is not for you as it seems to use the same wheel rim in design as CSR Elite. So it won't be a Porsche wheel.

Well it doesn't have to be the Porsche wheel. But I'm not limiting myself away from the GT2. I like it so it's more of a bonus then a negative really. It's not a deal maker/breaker though. I just want to know how different the 2 wheels are in terms of design and features. If it's slight differences and minor improvements I must just order now. If not known, I'll hold off a bit. I have a DFGT so I just really want to be able to play with a wheel on my xbox again.

Look at the page 187. 12thgear wrote what we know so far about the new wheels.
