So I bought a brand new car, got on the track, and belted out a 1:02.982. Next lap was 1:02.445. Now I'm parked reading this to see if I've done something wrong.

Also, what colors are we running, Dano?

I'm running light blue

I final got some laps in and did a 1:03.572 @213 HP. Still a lot of time left on the track.

And there we go.....

Thought maybe I might get down to a 1:03.7 at best.

I plan on breaking it in and running laps on Friday, so I'll see what the difference is then. Although, it's probably only a couple of tenths at best.


Also wanted to note that we now have 16 full time entries and 2 reserves (Akmuq and PaulMac) however Rosckolove has shown no interest since signing up. 👍

No. In fact, you should take some ballast and rain tires too.

Doesn't make much of a difference for me. Sometimes the extra rotation makes me faster.

And anyway it's a lot more fun without.

I'm usually 2-3 tenths slower with no ABS, but I agree it is more fun.

I wouldn't necessarily say that, but I think using (pretty much) exclusively ABS0 helps a lot.

There certainly isn't a massive difference anyway.

And that Elise loved no ABS.

Oh and R1600... well, once I got all the race settings right, I also only needed 5 laps to do a 1'03. Oh well, not as fast as you, but there's room for improvement.

But still, I had a fully broken-in car so thats worth a lot. I figure 2s are doable. I would think a bit of practice would be needed (I hope).

Looks like I'll need to do a good 40 hours of practise.

I'm looking at 1:03.7 with my best sectors and I figure the extra 6bhp is worth 2-3 tenths? so I really don't see myself doing anywhere better than 03.4-5.

Maybe. I seem to be struggling as of late. Become a mid-pack driver in PURE. Either that or everyone else is just faster now.
