Well guys, I think I will end here my Season 2 of the GTWS :guilty: Fifa 23 will come out tomorrow and I wanna prioritize playing that game  Also I don't feel confortable with the 4C at Interlagos, maybe it's the same problem that the Aston drivers seems to have

Yea it seems something is broken with PS4 version , crashing and freezing issues
Crossgen is a bad thing. Should've just delayed the game until the PS5 userbase was bigger and then released it only for that.
Not really fair to those with lastgen, but not fair at the moment for them to have a broken online experience.

The other option, actually fixing the PS4 version, not very realistic with PD.

I got spanked in qualifying…lol WRX/Supra/GTR city. Not that I blame that, I’m also just a pleb. I binned myself lap 8 and finished where I qualified

I don’t think I’ll run again, it wasn’t really a fun race to me - though I think it would have been fun had I practiced more to have better control of the rear end, so that’s my fault :)
Also I’m sorry to the couple people I hit, it wasn’t intentional, just bad driving

I expecting to be last with my Audi R8 evo , it is not quite ideal and with the bop suspension being weird , shaking the whole car , not even close to the top xD

Regarding the coming races: I'll pass on Manu at Interlagos, it is just another sprint race on hards.

Nations however can be very interesting; 16 laps on a track where it is very, very easy to suffer from the new damagesystem.
3 times tyrewear and both soft and medium compounds to be used. And there is a variety of cars in the top 10 so it can be fun to decide on which car to use.

I decided not to use a car that i raced before; so the Subaru, Jaguar, Genesis and Porsche were out. So decided to use the Mustang. Never used it before, not even in GTS and so far liking how it drives so made a simple livery and decided to stick with it.

Bit worried about the tyrewear though; think i can use the softs for about 6 or 7 laps and then switch to mediums.

Will be interesting to see what cars you'll here are going to use....

Im gonna use Lancer, not very fast but I like to drive it:)

Ran slot 1 in the DBR9 and slot 2 in the Vantage. Just no pace in the Astons at Interlagos, bottom third both races. 200-point or so splits.

Minor rant: Autódromo José Carlos Pace is undoubtedly one of the greats. But man I hate playing this game on it, it just seems to expose all the flaws in this games physics. Understeer city through the second sector, unpredictable wheelspin on key corner exits (I literally just guess and hold the throttle at half on some exits because the feedback is not existent. It's grip and then you're a dreidel), and kerbing and runoff that may as well be black ice.

As I'm sure you can all understand, this was not an enjoyable night of racing for me.

All in all the Manu season has been alright. Some good results in few Gr.3 races, Gr.4 was a can of don't bother in the V8 Vantage. I'll always look forward to more but with the balancing the way it is, there's little incentive in alternatives to the meta to be truly competitive.

Saw you took out a car in Turn 8 hairpin in my rear view mirror.

Few laps later you did the same in T1 and just rammed me off while I was side by side battling Y.Iseki.

If it was bad driving and you realised it, you would've waited.

Instead you just took off and post race you quit straightaway, trying to avoid any post race chat. If you wanted to say sorry you would've done it there, not in some forum where most of the racers aren't even part of, and the apology would've been buried after a few hours.

Anyway, I didn't save the replay, so you could just conveniently deny all of this or spin the truth, like all dirty drivers do. Who cares really.

Only 1 more race to go for platinum, and then I'm shelving the online part of this game thanks to people like you, broken penalty, broken BOP, broken physics, broken servers and uninspiring races.

Have fun being desperate and still finishing 12th.

Do people actually hang around to chat? In every race I've been in the vast majority of players just immediately leave (as do I), besides a quick "gg".

This is spot on. I ran slot 2 in the Vantage. My best qualy lap was 1 tenth slower than my best FP. Only got me Q14 of 15 starters.

Drove one of the best races of my life. Pretty much on the edge for the entire race with no mistakes. Made up 3 places beating home 2 WRXs a GTR and a Lancer.

After all this I was 29 seconds off the winner and 20 seconds behind 8th. The top 8 were all WRXs GTRs and Supras. The Astons are now just rubbish and this track highlights every unpredictable characteristic.

It was actually a humiliating experience and it makes me think about giving the game away altogether.

You guys are not giving me much hope for my own Aston adventure later :nervous:
Thankfully this is the final contracted race and we are free to switch.
Porsche is probably the sensible choice for me as I like and can drive both cars, but the Citroen challenge intrigues.

Low expectations means less disappointment.

It will be a choice between Porsche and Jag for me if I go again.

So, it still says both Nations and Manufacturers series are running at the same time tonight in North America. Hope it isn't the case but might make for an interesting evening.

PD about to get the rudest of shocks?

Amateur hour anyone?

Manufacturers GT2 Asia-Oceania slot 4
Nissan GT-R NISMO GT3 '13

I didn't have time to practice and wasn't really sure I would join tonight, but since I did all the rounds up to this one I thought I'll just give it a quick shot without caring for the result.

Qualif didn't work too well - a few penalty, plus not familiar enough with the track. Q15, which was last.
Actually I can't remember the last time I had a 16 cars race.
I guess almost each one someone gets a network error or crash and fail to join...

With the hard tires, the track felt really slippery so I put TCS1 to just take it easy and try to gain a few place.

After a few laps I got a bit more pace, but really struggled to overtake. The straights were a tad too short, and the sector 2... I just didn't have confidence I could overtake cleanly.
Fortunately several drivers made some mistakes, so finished P10.

Reasonably entertaining race for me, good "clean" battles the whole time (clean meaning here "quite a few small contacts, but in good spirit")

'rammed me off' I always instant quit post race...

It was bad driving in the sense that I should have noticed 2-wide = you will brake earlier than usual (in your case, ridiculously early), I should have realised and hit brakes early as well but I just hit my normal braking point because I'm a noob. Was it my fault? Yeah, but for a standard minor incident that happens all the time in the mid A splits, in an online game, in an informal race where we're way off the pace already, I didn't feel it warranted some post race formal apology

If you thought that was some intentional game ruining murder ram then I imagine you would have a meltdown if you tried daily B this week in the mid A races....lol

Aston car 3 did about as well as the first 2. No grip, no pace. Started 10th, sloppy driving dropped me to 14th, clawed my way back to 10th at the end.

Would’ve needed a top 6 in that split to count for the season score, but not going again.

Got a 2 sec penalty on the first corner. Didn’t think I’d hit anybody so checked the replay.

Yeah, that was a bit of a divebomb. I think I thought they had outbraked themselves. Luckily it didn’t seem to hurt their race too much as they were back past me immediately anyway. Also didn’t realise I’d damaged the wheel. That explains a lot about the rest of that lap.

As i expected , qualified 15th dead last but in the race i ended up 12th - by mistake i did a "dive bomb" gotten 3 seconds for that and then i gotten a random 3 second again?! for wheatever reason lol okay , i am glad its over and i cant wait to switch for something else than audi

Great final race on a combo I enjoy. :)

Was sitting on pole until about 2 mins to go and ended up starting 4th. Will get that first ever FIA pole one day!!

Race start wasn’t good. First lap I started getting weird sound problems with noise briefly cutting out every time I changed gear. Really put me off and I went wide final corner picking up a penalty. Served it next lap and lost 2 position to Supras behind me. First corner managed to get one position back and stayed in 5th a while. Really good close racing the whole time. 4th made a little mistake lap 8 and I got past and stayed there til the end to pick up 192 points! :)

Claiming back a position after serving penalty:

Not so great today.

Not been feeling too great today and i had to really push myself to do the race.
I love Interlagos, amd I love it even more in the GT3s. Normally I go very well here.
Warm up wasn’t too bad, but I was off pace. Nearly 1-1.5 seconds off.

GT2 8pm (UK) - AMG SLS
Quali - just didn’t find any pace at all. 1.34.9 was my best time I could find amd that good for P16. Mid week I was doing 1.33.5 easy.

Race - Gained on P15 on the start but was just a little too far back to send it into T1. I wish I did send it though now as that move hampered me for the rest of the race. Final corner on L1 P15 stopped on the apex of the corner and all I could was run into the back of them. 2 second penalty. L2 I sent on P15 in T1 and managed to catch the back of P14 quite quickly until my penalty. L4 caught up to P14 and managed to force them into a mistake at T4. L5 gained another position due to a car spinning off and that was pretty much all the action I saw from then on in. Up ahead they was 4/5 cars in a pack and I just couldn’t catch them. We maintained a 4 seconds gap up the last lap where two cars fighting brought me within 1 seconds. Shame this didnt happen a on L11. I’m sure the slipstream effect allowed those 4/5 cars to keep ahead as I was doing 1.33.9-1.34.2

P13 to finish of the season and 54 points. Been thinking about going again but Im done. I dont think I can mentally go through another race. Need to switch off and chill out.

If I’ve raced you in manufactures over S2 then thanks for the racing. Been some good races for me personally and I’ve some very good hard clean races too!

Hopefully my rankings don’t change too much over the next few hours

A great way to end manufacturers cup stage 2. Decent qualifying, did a 1.32.48, a tenth faster than in practice. Surprisingly only good enough for P7. But the quali level was high in the lobby. P1-P8 all within like 0,35 seconds 😲 Knowing I only needed to score over 130 pts and I was aiming for at least 150-160 pts (I am a high A DR driver), it was good enough of a quali.

Race then, first 4 laps or so nothing really happened, I just about managed to stay in the slipstream (6-7 tenths from driver in P6). Then on lap 5 it kicked off into the first tight turns T5-6. They went side by side drivers in P5 and P6. I manage to just get my nose ahead of the driver in P6 into T6. Then pass him fully on the outside into T7. A driver messes up in the last turn, P5.

Then next lap the second hairpin (T8?) I am bumped from behind and I bump a little bit bit into the Spaniard in P5, I manage to just sneak ahead on the outside of the penultimate corner, P4.

After that just drove very solid and me and the Spaniard in the Porsche behind pull away from the pack behind us. He had one chance after Senna S to go for a move on lap 8, but looked like he decided to back off from that. Never gave him another chance and 3 tenths was enough in the GT-R on the last straight to keep him behind. So P4 and 183 pts.

Very solid season, and it shows you should attempt all the races if you are able to, to maximize your score. I was sitting at a dissapointing 565 points haul for 4 best rounds after round 6. But last two races with the win last week and P4 tonight means I will bump my total to 716 pts after tonight. It ain't over until it's over 😎

The Senna S was my downfall tonight.

Due to a mix up with food I had to abandon the 7pm slot and could not get back on until the 9pm slot.

Qualified P9.
A WRX ahead hurtled into another Scooby which knocked them wide. This hampered my run and the Corvette behind (driven by someone from the south of the Bay of Biscay) just plowed into my rear quarter sending me spinning out into the barrier. Once I got going I was limping from all the damage and 12 seconds back in DFL. Due to them being slower, fighting and a couple of quits I did make it back up to P12. I was hoping the 2 drivers ahead from the afformentioned country (including the driver referenced above) who were battling quite hard would take each other out but it wasn't to be. As I had not hit my top 10 target I went again.

Much better this time with a P4 grid position with my fastest time of 1:33.7.
This time my car decided to spin out to the left in the first part of the Senna S. No idea why as it behaved itself through there at every other time. Annoyed I was once again limping DFL with all the damage I just put my head down. In fact due someone else to going wide at Juncao I wasn't last crossing the line lap 1. I caught up quickly and passed several cars who I was quicker than. I certainly didn't need any elk getting past L8zymoose in their Ford GT. (Sorry! ;))
I managed to make it up to P8 at the end of the race in what was a good recovery race. I got my 2nd highest points score of the season to round things off. But of course there was the dissapointment that I could well have had a podium here if not for the spin.
Ah well.

'rammed me off' I always instant quit post race...

You still need to address the wrongs you’ve made adequately, mistakes or errors or not. Back-pedalling and coming back with ‘just deal with it bro’ isn’t going to earn you any favours. It’s the easiest thing to just be like my bad and give spots back and acknowledge it. I’ve raced and trust @LeGeNd-1, so all this attitude tells me is I need to watch out out for you.

I’d like to able to go in uncommon cars and show my worth, but coming up against people I usually beat comfortably in meta cars battling for 14th ain’t it. Honestly don’t know how PD got the BoP so wrong considering it was alright at times in Sport. Probably going to go for the ol’ faithful Porsche next go around.

So here it is, the last Manu race of the season!

I could get a 1:31.293 in TT now with the GTR
1664574902133.png

In practice today after work, i could comfortably get mid 31's all the time, providing i hooked up the lap.
Come to qualifying, nope, couldn't get a good lap in for whatever reason and ended up P2:

1664574861175.png

So now it was a case of overcoming the dirty air for a win, which is almost impossible if the driver in front is competent as we all know!
GT_Saby once again returns and got the pole, here is the gap on lap 1 after T4:

(+0.515)

and at the finish line:
(+0.472)

No Hat trick, No pole, No win, No fastest lap this time...
The result? My highest points gain so far! 😁 :
1664575372076.png

It was about time I didn't win a race, but as mentioned previously, my original aim was to get the car on the grid and see where I could go. It was an extremely close race tonight with who I believe is top of the region rankings for GT2 league! I have a good sense of wanting to improve even more now! I'm also 40 races total into GT7's sport mode (had about 13 races in GT Sport)

A big congratulations to GT_Saby, champ of GT2 for the region.

1664579245074.png

2nd place within Nissan as well!

Once thing to take away this race is that I could drive well in dirty air, or at least it felt like I could naturally counter the dirty air by applying a slightly different driving style. I feel that I drove my best apart from in qualifying which may have made the difference.

I had a lot of fun this whole season and looking forward to getting a good result tomorrow for Nations!
